1. നീയോ പത്ഥ്യോപദേശത്തിന്നു ചേരുന്നതു പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

1. Bvt speake thou that which becommeth wholsome learnynge.

2. വൃദ്ധന്മാര് നിര്മ്മദവും ഗൌരവവും സുബോധവും ഉള്ളവരും വിശ്വാസത്തിലും സ്നേഹത്തിലും സഹിഷ്ണുതയിലും ആരോഗ്യമുള്ളവരും ആയിരിക്കേണം എന്നും

2. That ye elder men be sober, honest, discrete, sounde in the faith, in loue, in pacience.

3. വൃദ്ധന്മാരും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നടപ്പില് പവിത്രയോഗ്യമാരും ഏഷണി പറയാത്തവരും വീഞ്ഞിന്നു അടിമപ്പെടാത്തവരുമായിരിക്കേണം എന്നും

3. And the elder wemen likewyse that they shewe them selues as it becommeth holynes, that they be no false accusers, not geuen to moch wyne, that they teach honest thinges,

4. ദൈവവചനം ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യൌവനക്കാരത്തികളെ ഭര്ത്തൃപ്രിയമാരും

4. that they enfourme the yonge wemen to be sober mynded, to loue their hussbandes, to loue their childre,

5. പുത്രപ്രിയമാരും സുബോധവും പാതിവ്രത്യമുള്ളവരും വീട്ടുകാര്യം നോക്കുന്നവരും ദയയുള്ളവരും ഭര്ത്താക്കാന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴ്പെടുന്നവരും ആയിരിപ്പിാന് ശീലിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നന്മ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നവരായിരിക്കേണം എന്നും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്ക.

5. to be discrete, chaste, husswyfly, good, obedient vnto their awne hussbandes, that the worde of God be not euell spoken of.

6. അവ്വണ്ണം യൌവനക്കാരെയും സുബോധമുള്ളവരായിരിപ്പാന് പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്ക.

6. Exhorte the yonge men likewyse, that they be sober mynded.

7. വിരോധി നമ്മെക്കൊണ്ടു ഒരു തിന്മയും പറവാന് വകയില്ലാതെ ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സകലത്തിലും നിന്നെത്തന്നേ സല്പ്രവൃത്തികള്ക്കു മാതൃകയാക്കി കാണിക്ക.

7. Aboue all thinge shewe thy selfe an ensample off good workes, with vncorrupte doctryne, with honestye, with the wholsome

8. ഉപദേശത്തില് നിര്മ്മലതയും ഗൌരവവും ആക്ഷേപിച്ചു കൂടാത്ത പതഥ്യവചനവും ഉള്ളവന് ആയിരിക്ക.

8. worde which can not be rebuked: that he which withstodeth maye be ashamed, hauynge nothinge in you that he maye disprayse.

9. ദാസന്മാര് നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തെ സകലത്തിലും അലങ്കരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യജമാനന്മാര്ക്കും കീഴടങ്ങി സകലവിധത്തിലും പ്രസാദം വരുത്തുന്നവരും

9. Exhorte the seruauntes, to be obedient vnto their masters, to please in all thinges, not answeringe agayne,

10. എതിര്പറകയോ വഞ്ചിച്ചെടുക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ സകലത്തിലും നല്ല വിശ്വസ്തത കാണിക്കുന്നവരുംമായി ഇരിപ്പാന് (കല്പിക്ക).

10. nether to be pykers, but to shewe all good faithfulnes, that in all thinges they maye do worshippe vnto the doctryne off God oure Sauioure.

11. സകലമനുഷ്യര്ക്കും രക്ഷാകരമായ ദൈവകൃപ ഉദിച്ചുവല്ലോ;

11. For the grace of God that bryngeth Saluacion vnto all men, hath appeared,

12. നാം ഭാഗ്യകരമായ പ്രത്യാശെക്കായിട്ടും മഹാദൈവവും നമ്മുടെ രക്ഷിതാവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ തേജസ്സിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതെക്കായിട്ടും

12. and teacheth vs, that we shulde denye vngodlynes, and wordly lustes: and that we shulde lyue discretly, righteously, and godly in this worlde,

13. കാത്തുകൊണ്ടു ഭക്തിയോടും പ്രപഞ്ചമോഹങ്ങളും വര്ജ്ജിച്ചിട്ടു ഈ ലോകത്തില് സുബോധത്തോടും നീതിയോടും ദൈവഭക്തിയോടുംകൂടെ ജീവിച്ചുപോരേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു നമ്മെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചുവളര്ത്തുന്നു.
