1. ഞാന് സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യില് അകത്തും പുറത്തും എഴുത്തുള്ളതായി ഏഴു മുദ്രയാല് മുദ്രയിട്ടൊരു പുസ്തകം കണ്ടു.

1. And I saw, upon the right hand of him that was sitting upon the throne, a scroll; written within, and on the back, sealed up with seven seals.

2. ആ പുസ്തകം തുറപ്പാനും അതിന്റെ മുദ്ര പൊട്ടിപ്പാനും യോഗ്യന് ആരുള്ളു എന്നു അത്യുച്ചത്തില് ഘോഷിക്കുന്ന ശക്തനായോരു ദൂതനെയും കണ്ടു.

2. And I saw a mighty messenger, proclaiming with a loud voice Who is worthy to open the scroll, and to unloose the seals thereof?

3. പുസ്തകം തുറപ്പാനോ നോക്കുവാനോ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും ഭൂമിക്കു കീഴിലും ആര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

3. And, no one, was able, in heaven, or on earth, or under the earth, to open the scroll, or, to look thereon.

4. പുസ്തകം തുറന്നു വായിപ്പാനെങ്കിലും അതു നോക്കുവാനെങ്കിലും യോഗ്യനായി ആരെയും കാണായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ഏറ്റവും കരഞ്ഞു.

4. And, I, began to weep much, because, no one, worthy, was found, to open the scroll, or, to look thereon.

5. അപ്പോള് മൂപ്പന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തന് എന്നോടുകരയേണ്ട; യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിലെ സിംഹവും ദാവീദിന്റെ വേരുമായവന് പുസ്തകവും അതിന്റെ ഏഴുമുദ്രയും തുറപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ജയം പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5. And, one of the elders, saith unto me Do not weep! Lo! the lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, hath overcome, to open the scroll and the seven seals thereof.

6. ഞാന് സിംഹസനത്തിന്റെയും നാലു ജീവികളുടെയും നടുവിലും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യത്തിലും ഒരു കുഞ്ഞാടു അറുക്കപ്പെട്ടതുപോലെ നിലക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടുഅതിന്നു ഏഴു കൊമ്പും സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലേക്കും അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഏഴു ദൈവാത്മാക്കള് ആയ ഏഴു കണ്ണും ഉണ്ടു.

6. And I saw, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb, standing, showing that it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

7. അവന് വന്നു സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യില് നിന്നു പുസ്തകം വാങ്ങി.

7. And he came, and at once took it out of the right hand of him that was sitting upon the throne.

8. വാങ്ങിയപ്പോള് നാലുജീവികളും ഇരുപത്തുനാലു മൂപ്പന്മാരും ഔരോരുത്തന് വീണയും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന എന്ന ധൂപവര്ഗ്ഗം നിറഞ്ഞ പൊന് കലശവും പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു കുഞ്ഞാടിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വീണു.

8. And, when he took the scroll, the four living creatures, and the four-and-twenty elders, fell down before the Lamb, having, each one, a harp, and bowls of gold full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints;

9. and they sing a new song, saying Worthy, art thou, to take the scroll and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and didst redeem unto God by thy blood men out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

10. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു അവരെ രാജ്യവും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ആക്കിവെച്ചു; അവര് ഭൂമിയില് വാഴുന്നു എന്നൊരു പുതിയ പാട്ടു അവര് പാടുന്നു.

10. And didst make them, unto our God, a kingdom and priests, and they reign on the earth.

11. പിന്നെ ഞാന് ദര്ശനത്തില് സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെയും ജീവികളുടെയും മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെയും ചുറ്റിലും ഏറിയ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം കേട്ടു; അവരുടെ എണ്ണം പതിനായിരം പതിനായിരവും ആയിരം ആയിരവും ആയിരുന്നു.

11. And I saw, and heard a voice of many messengers, round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders, and the number of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands

12. അവര് അത്യുച്ചത്തില്അറുക്കപ്പെട്ട കുഞ്ഞാടു ശക്തിയും ധനവും ജ്ഞാനവും ബലവും ബഹുമാനവും മഹത്വവും സ്തോത്രവും ലഭിപ്പാന് യോഗ്യന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12. saying with a loud voice Worthy, is the Lamb that hath been slain, to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

13. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും ഭൂമിക്കു കീഴിലും സമുദ്രത്തിലും ഉള്ള സകല സൃഷ്ടിയും അവയിലുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയുംസിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്നു കുഞ്ഞാടിനും സ്തോത്രവും ബഹുമാനവും മഹത്വവും ബലവും എന്നെന്നേക്കും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറയുന്നതു ഞാന് കേട്ടു.

13. And, every created thing which was in heaven, and upon the earth, and under the earth, and upon the sea, and, all the things in them, heard I, saying Unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the dominion, unto the ages of ages!

14. നാലു ജീവികളുംആമേന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; മൂപ്പന്മാര് വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

14. And the four living creatures continued saying Amen! And, the elders, fell down and did homage.
