1. അവന് ഏഴാം മുദ്രപൊട്ടിച്ചപ്പോള് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ഏകദേശം അര മണിക്ക്കുറോളം മൌനത ഉണ്ടായി.

1. And when he openeth the seventh seal, there came silence in the heaven about half-an-hour,

2. അപ്പോള് ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ഏഴു ദൂതന്മാര് നിലക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു; അവര്ക്കും ഏഴു കാഹളം ലഭിച്ചു.

2. and I saw the seven messengers who before God have stood, and there were given to them seven trumpets,

3. മറ്റൊരു ദൂതന് ഒരു സ്വര്ണ്ണധൂപകലശവുമായി വന്നു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നരികെ നിന്നു. സീംഹാസനത്തിന് മുമ്പിലുള്ള സ്വര്ണ്ണപീഠത്തിന് മേല് സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെയും പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയോടു ചേര്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വളരെ ധൂപവര്ഗ്ഗം അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു.

3. and another messenger did come, and he stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and there was given to him much perfume, that he may give [it] to the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar that [is] before the throne,

4. ധൂപവര്ഗ്ഗത്തിന്റെ പൂക വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥനയോടുകൂടെ ദൂതന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു ദൈവസന്നിധിയിലേക്കു കയറി.

4. and go up did the smoke of the perfumes to the prayers of the saints out of the hand of the messenger, before God;

5. ദൂതന് ധൂപകലശം എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിലെ കനല് നിറെച്ചു ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു എറിഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ ഇടിമുഴക്കവും നാദവും മിന്നലും ഭൂകമ്പവും ഉണ്ടായി.

5. and the messenger took the censer, and did fill it out of the fire of the altar, and did cast [it] to the earth, and there came voices, and thunders, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

6. ഏഴു കാഹളമുള്ള ദൂതന്മാര് ഏഴുവരും കാഹളം ഊതുവാന് ഒരുങ്ങിനിന്നു.

6. And the seven messengers who are having the seven trumpets did prepare themselves that they may sound;

7. ഒന്നാമത്തവന് ഊതി; അപ്പോള് രക്തം കലര്ന്ന കല്മഴയും തീയും ഭൂമിമേല് ചൊരിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഭൂമിയില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നു വെന്തുപോയി; വൃക്ഷങ്ങളില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നു വെന്തുപോയി; എല്ലാ പച്ചപ്പുല്ലും വെന്തുപോയി.

7. and the first messenger did sound, and there came hail and fire, mingled with blood, and it was cast to the land, and the third of the trees was burnt up, and all the green grass was burnt up.

8. And the second messenger did sound, and as it were a great mountain with fire burning was cast into the sea, and the third of the sea became blood,

9. സമുദ്രത്തില് പ്രാണനുള്ള സൃഷ്ടികളില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നു ചത്തുപോയി; കപ്പലുകളിലും മൂന്നിലൊന്നു ചേതം വന്നു.

9. and die did the third of the creatures that [are] in the sea, those having life, and the third of the ships were destroyed.

10. മൂന്നാമത്തെ ദൂതന് ഊതി; അപ്പോള് ദീപം പോലെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മഹാ നക്ഷത്രം ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു വീണു; നദികളില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നിന്മേലും നീരുറവുകളിന്മേലും ആയിരുന്നു വീണതു.

10. And the third messenger did sound, and there fell out of the heaven a great star, burning as a lamp, and it did fall upon the third of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters,

11. ആ നക്ഷത്രത്തിന്നു കാഞ്ഞിരം എന്നു പേര്; വെള്ളത്തില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നു കാഞ്ഞിരംപോലെ ആയി; വെള്ളം കൈപ്പായതിനാല് മനുഷ്യരില് പലരും മരിച്ചുപോയി.

11. and the name of the star is called Wormwood, and the third of the waters doth become wormwood, and many of the men did die of the waters, because they were made bitter.

12. നാലാമത്തെ ദൂതന് ഊതി; അപ്പോള് സൂര്യനില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നിനും ചന്ദ്രനില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നിന്നും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നിന്നും ബാധ തട്ടി; അവയില് മൂന്നിലൊന്നു ഇരുണ്ടുപോയി രാവും പകലും മൂന്നിലൊന്നു വെളിച്ചമില്ലാതെയായി.

12. And the fourth messenger did sound, and smitten was the third of the sun, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, that darkened may be the third of them, and that the day may not shine -- the third of it, and the night in like manner.

13. അനന്തരം ഒരു കഴുകുഇനി കാഹളം ഊതുവാനുള്ള മൂന്നു ദൂതന്മാരുടെ കാഹളനാദം ഹേതുവായി ഭൂവാസികള്ക്കു കഷ്ടം, കഷ്ടം, കഷ്ടം എന്നു ഉറക്കെ പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു ആകാശമദ്ധ്യേ പറക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് കാണ്കയും കേള്ക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

13. And I saw, and I heard one messenger, flying in the mid-heaven, saying with a great voice, 'Woe, woe, woe, to those dwelling upon the land from the rest of the voices of the trumpet of the three messengers who are about to sound.'
