1. യെഹിസ്കീയാവു ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചാം വയസ്സില് വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങി; ഇരുപത്തൊമ്പതു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമില് വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു അബീയാ എന്നു പേര്. അവള് സെഖയ്യാവിന്റെ മകള് ആയിരുന്നു.

1. Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old; and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah.

2. അവന് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് ചെയ്തതു പോലെ ഒക്കെയും യഹോവേക്കു പ്രസാദമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

2. And he did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.

3. അവന് തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ഒന്നാം ആണ്ടില് ഒന്നാം മാസത്തില് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകള് തുറന്നു അറ്റകുറ്റം തീര്ത്തു.

3. He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the door of the house of the LORD, and repaired them.

4. അവന് പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും വരുത്തി കിഴക്കെ വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തു ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

4. And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the broad place on the east,

5. ലേവ്യരേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്പ്പിന് , ഇപ്പോള് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തെയും ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില്നിന്നു മലിനത നീക്കിക്കളവിന് .

5. and said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites; now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of the LORD, the God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place.

6. നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തു, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും യഹോവയുടെ നിവാസത്തിങ്കല്നിന്നു മുഖം തിരിച്ചു അതിന്നു പുറം കാട്ടുകയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

6. For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the sight of the LORD our God, and have forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.

7. അവര് മണ്ഡപത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകള് അടെച്ചു, വിളകൂ കെടുത്തി, വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ധൂപം കാണിക്കാതെയും ഹോമയാഗം കഴിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നു.

7. Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ കോപം യെഹൂദയുടെയും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെയും മേല് വന്നു; നിങ്ങള് സ്വന്തകണ്ണാല് കാണുന്നതുപോലെ അവന് അവരെ നടുക്കത്തിന്നും അമ്പരപ്പിന്നും ഹാസ്യത്തിന്നും വിഷയമാക്കിത്തീര്ത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. Wherefore the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to be tossed to and fro, to be an astonishment, and an hissing, as ye see with your eyes.

9. നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാര് വാളിനാല് വീഴുകയും, നമ്മുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും നമ്മുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും ഇതുനിമിത്തം പ്രവാസത്തില് ആകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. For, lo, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons and our daughters and our wives are in captivity for this.

10. ഇപ്പോള് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപം നമ്മെ വിട്ടുമാറേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനോടു ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്വാന് എനിക്കു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടു.

10. Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, that his fierce anger may turn away from us.

11. എന്റെ മക്കളേ, ഇപ്പോള് ഉപേക്ഷ കാണിക്കരുതു; തന്നെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് നില്പാനും തനിക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരായി ധൂപം കാട്ടുവാനും യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

11. My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to minister unto him, and that ye should be his ministers, and burn incense.

12. അപ്പോള് കെഹാത്യരില് അമാസായിയുടെ മകന് മഹത്ത്, അസര്യ്യാവിന്റെ മകന് യോവേല്, മെരാര്യ്യരില് അബ്ദിയുടെ മകന് കീശ്, യെഹല്ലെലേലിന്റെ മകന് അസര്യ്യാവു; ഗേര്ശോന്യരില് സിമ്മയുടെ മകന് യോവാഹ്,

12. Then the Levites arose, Mahath the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites: and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehallelel: and of the Gershonites, Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah:

13. യോവാഹിന്റെ മകന് ഏദെന് ; എലീസാ ഫാന്യരില് സിമ്രി, യെയൂവേല്; ആസാഫ്യരില് സെഖര്യ്യാവു, മത്ഥന്യാവു;

13. and of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeuel: and of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah:

14. ഹേമാന്യരില് യെഹൂവേല്, ശിമെയി; യെദൂഥൂന്യരില് ശിമയ്യാവു, ഉസ്സീയേല് എന്നീ ലേവ്യര് എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

14. and of the sons of Heman, Jehuel and Shimei: and of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.

15. തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂട്ടി തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം രാജാവിന്റെ കല്പന അനുസരിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തെ വെടിപ്പാക്കുവാന് വന്നു.

15. And they gathered their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and went in, according to the commandment of the king by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD.

16. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകം വെടിപ്പാക്കുവാന് അതില് കടന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് കണ്ട മലിനതയൊക്കെയും പുറത്തു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരത്തില് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ലേവ്യര് അതു കൊണ്ടു പോയി കിദ്രോന് തോട്ടില് ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

16. And the priests went in unto the inner part of the house of the LORD, to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad to the brook Kidron.

17. ഒന്നാം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി അവര് വിശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പാന് തുടങ്ങി; എട്ടാം തിയ്യതി അവര് യഹോവയുടെ മണ്ഡപത്തിങ്കല് എത്തി; ഇങ്ങനെ അവര് എട്ടുദിവസംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു; ഒന്നാം മാസം പതിനാറാം തിയ്യതി തീര്ത്തു,

17. Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the porch of the LORD; and they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days: and on the sixteenth day of the first month they made an end.

18. യെഹിസ്കീയാരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കല് അകത്തു ചെന്നു; ഞങ്ങള് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം മുഴുവനും ഹോമപീഠവും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും കാഴ്ചയപ്പത്തിന്റെ മേശയും അതിന്റെ ഉപകരണങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും വെടിപ്പാക്കി,

18. Then they went in to Hezekiah the king within the palace, and said, We have cleansed all the house of the LORD, and the altar of burnt offering, with all the vessels thereof, and the table of shewbread, with all the vessels thereof.

19. ആഹാസ്രാജാവു തന്റെ വാഴ്ചകാലത്തു തന്റെ ദ്രോഹത്താല് നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ഉപകരണങ്ങള് ഒക്കെയും നന്നാക്കി വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന് മുമ്പില് ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. Moreover all the vessels, which king Ahaz in his reign did cast away when he trespassed, have we prepared and sanctified; and, behold, they are before the altar of the LORD.

20. യെഹിസ്കീയാരാജാവു കാലത്തെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു നഗരാധിപതികളെ കൂട്ടി യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നു.

20. Then Hezekiah the king arose early, and gathered the princes of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD.

21. അവര് രാജത്വത്തിന്നും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നും യെഹൂദെക്കും വേണ്ടി ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ഏഴു കുഞ്ഞാടിനെയും പാപയാഗത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ഏഴു വെള്ളാട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവയെ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് യാഗംകഴിപ്പാന് അവന് അഹരോന്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

21. And they brought seven bullocks; and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven he�goats, for a sin offering for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah. And he commanded the priests the sons of Aaron to offer them on the altar of the LORD.

22. അങ്ങനെ അവര് കാളകളെ അറുത്തു; പുരോഹിതന്മാര് രക്തം വാങ്ങി യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് തളിച്ചു; ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെ അറുത്തു രക്തം യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് തളിച്ചു. കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ അറുത്തു രക്തം യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് തളിച്ചു.

22. So they killed the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and sprinkled it on the altar: and they killed the rams, and sprinkled the blood upon the altar: they killed also the lambs, and sprinkled the blood upon the altar.

23. പിന്നെ അവര് പാപയാഗത്തിന്നുള്ള വെള്ളാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെ രാജാവിന്റെയും സഭയുടെയും മുമ്പില് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവര് അവയുടെമേല് കൈവെച്ചു.

23. And they brought near the he�goats for the sin offering before the king and the congregation; and they laid their hands upon them:

24. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് അവയെ അറുത്തു എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അവയുടെ രക്തം യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് പാപയാഗമായി അര്പ്പിച്ചു; എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും വേണ്ടി ഹോമയാഗവും പാപയാഗവും കഴിക്കേണം എന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

24. and the priests killed them, and they made a sin offering with their blood upon the altar, to make atonement for all Israel: for the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.

25. അവന് ദാവീദിന്റെയും രാജാവിന്റെ ദര്ശകനായ ഗാദിന്റെയും നാഥാന് പ്രവാചകന്റെയും കല്പനപ്രകാരം ലേവ്യരെ കൈത്താളങ്ങളോടും വീണകളോടും കിന്നരങ്ങളോടും കൂടെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നിര്ത്തി; അങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകന്മാര്മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

25. And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet: for the commandment was of the LORD by his prophets.

26. ലേവ്യര് ദാവീദിന്റെ വാദ്യങ്ങളോടും പുരോഹിതന്മാര് കാഹളങ്ങളോടുംകൂടെ നിന്നു.

26. And the Levites stood with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.

27. പിന്നെ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് ഹോമയാഗം കഴിപ്പാന് കല്പിച്ചു. ഹോമയാഗം തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോള് തന്നേ അവര് കാഹളങ്ങളോടും യിസ്രായേല്രാജാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ വാദ്യങ്ങളോടും കൂടെ യഹോവേക്കു പാട്ടുപാടുവാന് തുടങ്ങി.

27. And Hezekiah commanded to offer the burnt offering upon the altar, And when the burnt offering began, the song of the LORD began also, and the trumpets, together with the instruments of David king of Israel.

28. ഉടനെ സര്വ്വസഭയും നമസ്കരിച്ചു, സംഗീതക്കാര് പാടുകയും കാഹളക്കാര് ഊതുകയും ചെയ്തു; ഇതൊക്കെയും ഹോമയാഗം കഴിയുന്നതുവരെ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

28. And all thah, first and last, did Isaiah the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded; all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.

29. യാഗം കഴിച്ചു തീര്ന്നപ്പോള് രാജാവും കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരും വണങ്ങി നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

29. And when they had made an end of offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves and worshipped.

30. പിന്നെ യെഹിസ്കീയാരാജാവും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ലേവ്യരോടു ദാവീദിന്റെയും ആസാഫ് ദര്ശകന്റെയും വചനങ്ങളാല് യഹോവേക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാന് കല്പിച്ചു. അവന് സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു തല കുനിച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

30. Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praises unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.

31. നിങ്ങള് ഇപ്പോള് യഹോവേക്കു നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ നിവേദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അടുത്തുവന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളും സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു യെഹിസ്കീയാവു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ സഭ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളും സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളും നല്ല മനസ്സുള്ളവര് എല്ലാവരും ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

31. Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings.

32. സഭ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം കാള എഴുപതു, ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന് നൂറു, കുഞ്ഞാടു ഇരുനൂറു; ഇവയൊക്കെയും യഹോവേക്കു മഹായാഗത്തിന്നായിരുന്നു.

32. And the number of the burnt offerings, which the congregation brought, was threescore and ten bullocks, an hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt offering to the LORD.

33. നിവേദിതവസ്തുക്കളോ അറുനൂറു കാളയും മൂവായിരം ആടും ആയിരുന്നു.

33. And the consecrated things were six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.

34. പുരോഹിതന്മാര് ചുരുക്കമായിരുന്നതിനാല് ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെല്ലം തോലുരിപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ലേവ്യര് ആ വേല തീരുവോളവും പുരോഹിതന്മാരൊക്കെയും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുവോളവും അവരെ സഹായിച്ചു; തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതില് ലേവ്യര് പുരോഹിതന്മാരെക്കാള് അധികം ഉത്സാഹമുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു.

34. But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings: wherefore their brethren the Levites did help them, till the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves: for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

35. ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള് സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള മേദസ്സിനോടും ഹോമയാഗങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള പാനീയയാഗങ്ങളോടും കൂടെ അനവധി ആയിരുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ആരാധന യഥാസ്ഥാനത്തായി.

35. And also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and with the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.

36. ദൈവം ജനത്തിന്നു ഒരുക്കിക്കൊടുത്തതില് യെഹിസ്കീയാവും സകലജനവും സന്തോഷിച്ചു; കാര്യം ക്ഷണത്തിലല്ലോ നടന്നതു.

36. And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because of that which God had prepared for the people: for the thing was done suddenly.
