1. ഞാന് യഹോവയെ ശരണമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പക്ഷികളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പര്വ്വതത്തിലേക്കു പറന്നുപോകുവിന് എന്നു നിങ്ങള് എന്നോടു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

1. In the LORD I put my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain?

2. ഇതാ, ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് ഹൃദയപരമാര്ത്ഥികളെ ഇരുട്ടത്തു എയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു വില്ലു കുലെച്ചു അസ്ത്രം ഞാണിന്മേല് തൊടുക്കുന്നു.

2. For, lo, the wicked bend [their] bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may secretly shoot at the upright in heart.

3. അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങള് മറിഞ്ഞുപോയാല് നീതിമാന് എന്തുചെയ്യും?

3. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4. യഹോവ തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് ഉണ്ടു; യഹോവയുടെ സിംഹാസനം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ കണ്ണുകള് ദര്ശിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ കണ്പോളകള് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. The LORD [is] in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne [is] in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5. യഹോവ നീതിമാനെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടനെയും സാഹസപ്രിയനെയും അവന്റെ ഉള്ളം വെറുക്കുന്നു.

5. The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6. ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെമേല് അവന് കണികളെ വര്ഷിപ്പിക്കും; തീയും ഗന്ധകവും ഉഷ്ണക്കാറ്റും അവരുടെ പാനപാത്രത്തിലെ ഔഹരിയായിരിക്കും.

6. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: [this shall be] the portion of their cup.

7. യഹോവ നീതിമാന് ; അവന് നീതിയെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു; നേരുള്ളവര് അവന്റെ മുഖം കാണും.

7. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance beholdeth the upright.
