1. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് . യിസ്രായേല് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നും യാക്കോബിന് ഗൃഹം അന്യഭാഷയുള്ള ജാതിയുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നും പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്

1. When Israel went out of Egypt, and the house of Iaakob from the barbarous people,

2. യെഹൂദാ അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരവും യിസ്രായേല് അവന്റെ ആധിപത്യവുമായി തീര്ന്നു.

2. Iudah was his sanctification, and Israel his dominion.

3. സമുദ്രം കണ്ടു ഔടി; യോര്ദ്ദാന് പിന് വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

4. പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും കുന്നുകള് കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും തുള്ളി.

4. The mountaines leaped like rams, and the hils as lambes.

5. സമുദ്രമേ, നീ ഔടുന്നതെന്തു? യോര്ദ്ദാനേ, നീ പിന് വാങ്ങുന്നതെന്തു?

5. What ailed thee, O Sea, that thou fleddest? O Iorden, why wast thou turned backe?

6. പര്വ്വതങ്ങളേ; നിങ്ങള് മുട്ടാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും കുന്നുകളേ, നിങ്ങള് കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെപ്പോലെയും തുള്ളുന്നതു എന്തു.

6. Ye mountaines, why leaped ye like rams, and ye hils as lambes?

7. ഭൂമിയേ, നീ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില്, യാക്കോബിന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് വിറെക്ക.

8. അവന് പാറയെ ജലതടാകവും തീക്കല്ലിനെ നീരുറവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. Which turneth the rocke into waterpooles, and the flint into a fountaine of water.
