1. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ആരോഹണഗീതം.
യോഹന്നാൻ 4:20

1. A Song of Ascents; of David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of Yahweh.

2. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു നമുക്കു പോകാം എന്നു അവര് എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് ഞാന് സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

2. Our feet are standing Inside your gates, O Jerusalem,

3. യെരൂശലേമേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലുകള് നിന്റെ വാതിലുകള്ക്കകത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു.

3. Jerusalem is built As a city that is compact together;

4. തമ്മില് ഇണക്കിയ നഗരമായി പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമേ!

4. Where the tribes go up, even the tribes of Yah, [For] an ordinance for Israel, To give thanks to the name of Yahweh.

5. അവിടേക്കു ഗോത്രങ്ങള്, യഹോവയുടെ ഗോത്രങ്ങള് തന്നേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്വാന് കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.

5. For there are set thrones for judgment, The thrones of the house of David.

6. അവിടെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള്, ദാവീദ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള് തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

6. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: Those who love you will prosper.

7. യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ സമാധാനത്തിന്നായി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിപ്പിന് ; നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര് സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

7. Peace be inside your walls, And prosperity inside your palaces.

8. നിന്റെ കൊത്തളങ്ങളില് സമാധാനവും നിന്റെ അരമനകളില് സ്വൈരവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

8. For my brothers and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be inside you.

9. എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂട്ടാളികളും നിമിത്തം നിന്നില് സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാന് പറയും.

9. For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God I will seek your good.
