1. To the Chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O Jehovah, You have searched me and have known me.

2. യഹോവേ, നീ എന്നെ ശോധന ചെയ്തു അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു;

2. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

3. ഞാന് ഇരിക്കുന്നതും എഴുന്നേലക്കുന്നതും നീ അറിയുന്നു. എന്റെ നിരൂപണം നീ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

3. You search my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

4. എന്റെ നടപ്പും കിടപ്പും നീ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്റെ വഴികളൊക്കെയും നിനക്കു മനസ്സിലായിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Jehovah, You know it altogether.

5. യഹോവേ, നീ മുഴുവനും അറിയാതെ ഒരു വാക്കും എന്റെ നാവിന്മേല് ഇല്ല.

5. You have closed me in behind and in front, and laid Your hand on me.

6. നീ മുമ്പും പിമ്പും എന്നെ അടെച്ചു നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെമേല് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot go up to it.

7. ഈ പരിജ്ഞാനം എനിക്കു അത്യത്ഭുതമാകുന്നു; അതു എനിക്കു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ഉന്നതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence?

8. നിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ ഒളിച്ചു ഞാന് എവിടേക്കു പോകും? തിരുസന്നിധി വിട്ടു ഞാന് എവിടേക്കു ഔടും?

8. If I go up into Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.

9. ഞാന് സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് കയറിയാല് നീ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടു; പാതാളത്തില് എന്റെ കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചാല് നീ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടു.

9. If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the furthest parts of the sea;

10. ഞാന് ഉഷസ്സിന് ചിറകു ധരിച്ചു, സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ അറ്റത്തു ചെന്നു പാര്ത്താല്

10. even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.

11. അവിടെയും നിന്റെ കൈ എന്നെ നടത്തും; നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ എന്നെ പിടിക്കും.

11. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light around me.

12. ഇരുട്ടു എന്നെ മൂടിക്കളയട്ടെ; വെളിച്ചം എന്റെ ചുറ്റും രാത്രിയായ്തീരട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞാല്

12. Yea, the darkness does not hide from You; but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light to You.

13. ഇരുട്ടുപോലും നിനക്കു മറവായിരിക്കയില്ല; രാത്രി പകല്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കും; ഇരുട്ടും വെളിച്ചവും നിനക്കു ഒരുപോലെ തന്നേ.

13. For You have possessed my inward parts; You have covered me in my mother's womb.

14. നീയല്ലോ എന്റെ അന്തരംഗങ്ങളെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചതു, എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ ഉദരത്തില് നീ എന്നെ മെടഞ്ഞു.

14. I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are marvelous and my soul knows it very well.

15. ഭയങ്കരവും അതിശയവുമായി എന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കയാല് ഞാന് നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികള് അത്ഭുതകരമാകുന്നു; അതു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം നല്ലവണ്ണം അറിയുന്നു.

15. My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret and skillfully formed in the lowest parts of the earth.

16. ഞാന് രഹസ്യത്തില് ഉണ്ടാക്കപ്പെടുകയും ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളില് നിര്മ്മിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള് എന്റെ അസ്ഥിക്കുടം നിനക്കു മറവായിരുന്നില്ല.

16. Your eyes saw my embryo; and in Your book all my members were written, the days they were formed, and not one was among them.

17. ഞാന് പിണ്ഡാകാരമായിരുന്നപ്പോള് നിന്റെ കണ്ണു എന്നെ കണ്ടു; നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ട നാളുകളില് ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നപ്പോള് അവയെല്ലാം നിന്റെ പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരുന്നു;

17. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

18. ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങള് എനിക്കു എത്ര ഘനമായവ! അവയുടെ ആകത്തുകയും എത്ര വലിയതു!

18. If I should count them, they are more than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.

19. അവയെ എണ്ണിയാല് മണലിനെക്കാള് അധികം; ഞാന് ഉണരുമ്പോള് ഇനിയും ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

19. Surely You will slay the wicked, O God; and bloody men, depart from me.

20. ദൈവമേ, നീ ദുഷ്ടനെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു; രക്തപാതകന്മാരേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകുവിന് .

20. Who will speak against You maliciously? Your enemies are lifted up with vanity.

21. അവര് ദ്രോഹമായി നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള് നിന്റെ നാമം വൃഥാ എടുക്കുന്നു.

21. O Jehovah, do I not hate those who hate You? And am I not grieved with those who rise up against You?

22. യഹോവേ, നിന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് പകക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ? നിന്നോടു എതിര്ത്തുനിലക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് വെറുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ?

22. I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies.

23. ഞാന് പൂര്ണ്ണദ്വേഷത്തോടെ അവരെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; അവരെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായി എണ്ണുന്നു.

23. Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts,

24. ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ ശോധന ചെയ്തു എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയേണമേ; എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ നിനവുകളെ അറിയേണമേ.

24. and see if any wicked way is in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
