1. ലംഘനം ക്ഷമിച്ചും പാപം മറെച്ചും കിട്ടിയവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

1. By David. -- An Instruction. O the happiness of him whose transgression [is] forgiven, Whose sin is covered.

2. യഹോവ അകൃത്യം കണക്കിടാതെയും ആത്മാവില് കപടം ഇല്ലാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

2. O the happiness of a man, To whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3. ഞാന് മിണ്ടാതെയിരുന്നപ്പോള് നിത്യമായ ഞരക്കത്താല് എന്റെ അസ്ഥികള് ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയി;

3. When I have kept silence, become old have my bones, Through my roaring all the day.

4. രാവും പകലും നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെമേല് ഭാരമായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ മജ്ജ വേനല്ക്കാലത്തിലെ ഉഷ്ണത്താല് എന്നപോലെ വറ്റിപ്പോയി. സേലാ.

4. When by day and by night Thy hand is heavy upon me, My moisture hath been changed Into the droughts of summer. Selah.

5. My sin I cause Thee to know, And mine iniquity I have not covered. I have said, 'I confess concerning My transgressions to Jehovah,' And Thou -- Thou hast taken away, The iniquity of my sin. Selah.

6. ഇതുനിമിത്തം ഔരോ ഭക്തനും കണ്ടെത്താകുന്ന കാലത്തു നിന്നോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കും; പെരുവെള്ളം കവിഞ്ഞുവരുമ്പോള് അതു അവന്റെ അടുക്കലോളം എത്തുകയില്ല.

6. For this doth every saintly one pray to Thee, As the time to find. Surely at an overflowing of many waters, Unto him they come not.

7. നീ എനിക്കു മറവിടമാകുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ കഷ്ടത്തില്നിന്നു സൂക്ഷിക്കും; രക്ഷയുടെ ഉല്ലാസഘോഷം കൊണ്ടു നീ എന്നെ ചുറ്റിക്കൊള്ളും. സേലാ.

7. Thou [art] a hiding-place for me, From distress Thou dost keep me, [With] songs of deliverance dost compass me. Selah.

8. ഞാന് നിന്നെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു, നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന വഴി നിനക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരും; ഞാന് നിന്റെമേല് ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു നിനക്കു ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞുതരും.

8. I cause thee to act wisely, And direct thee in the way that thou goest, I cause mine eye to take counsel concerning thee.

9. നിങ്ങള് ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത കുതിരയെയും കോവര്കഴുതയെയുംപോലെ ആകരുതു; അവയുടെ ചമയങ്ങളായ കടിഞ്ഞാണും മുഖപ്പട്ടയും കൊണ്ടു അവയെ അടക്കിവരുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കില് അവ നിനക്കു സ്വാധീനമാകയില്ല.

9. Be ye not as a horse -- as a mule, Without understanding, With bridle and bit, its ornaments, to curb, Not to come near unto thee.

10. ദുഷ്ടന്നു വളരെ വേദനകള് ഉണ്ടു; യഹോവയില് ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവനെയോ ദയ ചുറ്റിക്കൊള്ളും.

10. Many [are] the pains of the wicked; As to him who is trusting in Jehovah, Kindness doth compass him.

11. നീതിമാന്മാരേ, യഹോവയില് സന്തോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിപ്പിന് ; ഹൃദയപരമാര്ത്ഥികള് എല്ലാവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിപ്പിന് .

11. Be glad in Jehovah, and rejoice, ye righteous, And sing, all ye upright of heart!
