1. കര്ത്താവേ, നീ തലമുറതലമുറയായി ഞങ്ങളുടെ സങ്കേതമായിരിക്കുന്നു;

1. A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, a habitation Thou -- Thou hast been, To us -- in generation and generation,

2. പര്വ്വതങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടായതിന്നും നീ ഭൂമിയെയും ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തെയും നിര്മ്മിച്ചതിന്നും മുമ്പെ നീ അനാദിയായും ശാശ്വതമായും ദൈവം ആകുന്നു.

2. Before mountains were brought forth, And Thou dost form the earth and the world, Even from age unto age Thou [art] God.

3. നീ മര്ത്യനെ പൊടിയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചേരുമാറാക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ, തിരികെ വരുവിന് എന്നും അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

3. Thou turnest man unto a bruised thing, And sayest, Turn back, ye sons of men.

4. ആയിരം സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ ഭൃഷ്ടിയില് ഇന്നലെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ ദിവസംപോലെയും രാത്രിയിലെ ഒരു യാമംപോലെയും മാത്രം ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
2 പത്രൊസ് 3:8

4. For a thousand years in Thine eyes [are] as yesterday, For it passeth on, yea, a watch by night.

5. നീ അവരെ ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; അവര് ഉറക്കംപോലെ അത്രേ; അവര് രാവിലെ മുളെച്ചുവരുന്ന പുല്ലുപോലെ ആകുന്നു.

5. Thou hast inundated them, they are asleep, In the morning as grass he changeth.

6. അതു രാവിലെ തഴെച്ചുവളരുന്നു; വൈകുന്നേരം അതു അരിഞ്ഞു വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

6. In the morning it flourisheth, and hath changed, At evening it is cut down, and hath withered.

7. ഞങ്ങള് നിന്റെ കോപത്താല് ക്ഷയിച്ചും നിന്റെ ക്രോധത്താല് ഭ്രമിച്ചും പോകുന്നു.

7. For we were consumed in Thine anger, And in Thy fury we have been troubled.

8. നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിലും ഞങ്ങളുടെ രഹസ്യപാപങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ മുഖപ്രകാശത്തിലും വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, Our hidden things at the light of Thy face,

9. ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാളുകളൊക്കയും നിന്റെ ക്രോധത്തില് കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി; ഞങ്ങളുടെ സംവത്സരങ്ങളെ ഞങ്ങള് ഒരു നെടുവീര്പ്പുപോലെ കഴിക്കുന്നു.

9. For all our days pined away in Thy wrath, We consumed our years as a meditation.

10. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലം എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം; ഏറെ ആയാല് എണ്പതു സംവത്സരം; അതിന്റെ പ്രതാപം പ്രയാസവും ദുഃഖവുമത്രേ; അതു വേഗം തീരുകയും ഞങ്ങള് പറന്നു പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. Days of our years, in them [are] seventy years, And if, by reason of might, eighty years, Yet [is] their enlargement labour and vanity, For it hath been cut off hastily, and we fly away.

11. നിന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയെയും നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ക്രോധത്തെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവന് ആര്?

11. Who knoweth the power of Thine anger? And according to Thy fear -- Thy wrath?

12. ഞങ്ങള് ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളോരു ഹൃദയം പ്രാപിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാളുകളെ എണ്ണുവാന് ഞങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിക്കേണമേ.

12. To number our days aright let [us] know, And we bring the heart to wisdom.

13. യഹോവേ, മടങ്ങിവരേണമേ; എത്രത്തോളം താമസം? അടിയങ്ങളോടു സഹതാപം തോന്നേണമേ.

13. Turn back, O Jehovah, till when? And repent concerning Thy servants.

14. കാലത്തു തന്നേ ഞങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ ദയകൊണ്ടു തൃപ്തരാക്കേണമേ; എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലമൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങള് ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കും.

14. Satisfy us at morn [with] Thy kindness, And we sing and rejoice all our days.

15. നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ക്ളേശിപ്പിച്ച ദിവസങ്ങള്ക്കും ഞങ്ങള് അനര്ത്ഥം അനുഭവിച്ച സംവത്സരങ്ങള്ക്കും തക്കവണ്ണം ഞങ്ങളെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കേണമേ.

15. Cause us to rejoice according to the days Wherein Thou hast afflicted us, The years we have seen evil.

16. നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാര്ക്കും നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയും അവരുടെ മക്കള്ക്കു നിന്റെ മഹത്വവും വെളിപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ.

16. Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, And Thine honour on their sons.

17. ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രസാദം ഞങ്ങളുടെമേല് ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ സാദ്ധ്യമാക്കി തരേണമേ; അതേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ സാദ്ധ്യമാക്കി തരേണമേ.

17. And let the pleasantness of Jehovah our God be upon us, And the work of our hands establish on us, Yea, the work of our hands establish it!
