1. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുത്തുക; അഹരോനെയും അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ നാദാബ്, അബീഹൂ, എലെയാസാര്, ഈഥാമാര് എന്നിവരെയും തന്നേ
എബ്രായർ 5:4

1. Thou thyself, therefore bring near unto thee Aaron thy brother and his sons with him out of the midst of the sons of Israel, that they may minister as priests unto me, Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar sons of Aaron.

2. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന്നു വേണ്ടി മഹത്വത്തിന്നും അലങ്കാരത്തിന്നുമായി വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

2. And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for glory and for beauty.

3. അഹരോന് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നു വസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണമെന്നു ഞാന് ജ്ഞാനാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സകലജ്ഞാനികളോടും നീ പറയേണം.

3. Thou thyself, therefore, shalt speak unto all the wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, and they shall make Aaron's garments, to hallow him for ministering as priest unto me.

4. അവര് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടുന്ന വസ്ത്രമോപതക്കം, ഏഫോദ്, നീളകൂപ്പായം, ചിത്രത്തയ്യലുള്ള നിലയങ്കി, മുടി, നടുക്കെട്ടു എന്നിവ തന്നേ. നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോന് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അവന്നും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും വിശുദ്ധവസ്ത്രം ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

4. These, therefore are the garments which they shall make a breastpiece, and an ephod and a robe, and a tunic of checker work, a turban and a girdle, so shall they make holy garments for Aaron thy brother and for his sons, for ministering as priests unto me.

5. അതിന്നു പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവ എടുക്കേണം.

5. They themselves, therefore, shall take the gold, and the blue and the purple, and the crimson, and the fine linen.

6. പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു നെയ്ത്തുകാരന്റെ ചിത്രപ്പണിയായി ഏഫോദ് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

6. And they shall make the ephod, of gold, blue and purple crimson and fine-twined linen, the work of a skilful weaver.

7. അതിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തോടു ചേര്ന്നതായി രണ്ടു ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം. അങ്ങനെ അതു തമ്മില് ഇണെച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

7. Two joining shoulderpieces, shall there be to it upon the two extremities thereof that it may be joined together,

8. അതു കെട്ടിമുറുക്കുവാന് അതിന്മേലുള്ളതായി ചിത്രപ്പണിയായ നടുക്കെട്ടു അതില്നിന്നു തന്നേ അതിന്റെ പണിപോലെ പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു ആയിരിക്കേണം.

8. And the curious band for fastening it, that is upon it, like the work thereof of the same, shall it be, of gold blue and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen,

9. അതു കൂടാതെ രണ്ടു ഗോമേദകക്കല്ലു എടുത്തു അവയില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേര് കൊത്തേണം.

9. And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and engrave upon them the names of the sons of Israel:

10. അവരുടെ പേരുകളില് ആറു ഒരുകല്ലിലും ശേഷമുള്ള ആറു മറ്റെ കല്ലിലും അവരുടെ ജനനക്രമത്തില് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

10. six of their names, on the one stone, and the names of the six that remain, on the second stone according to their births:

11. രത്നശില്പിയുടെ പണിയായി മുദ്രക്കൊത്തുപോലെ രണ്ടു കല്ലിലും യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളുടെ പേര് കൊത്തേണം; അവ പൊന്തടങ്ങളില് പതിക്കേണം;

11. with the work of a stone engraver, like seal-ring engravings, shalt thou engrave the two stones, after the names of the sons of Israel, to be encircled with settings of gold, shalt thou make them.

12. കല്ലു രണ്ടും ഏഫോദിന്റെ ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടങ്ങളിന്മേല് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഔര്മ്മക്കല്ലായി വെക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അവരുടെ പേര് ഔര്മ്മക്കായി തന്റെ രണ്ടു ചുമലിന്മേലും വഹിക്കേണം.

12. And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, as stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, so shall Aaron bear their names before Yahweh upon his two shoulders, for a memorial.

13. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു തടങ്ങള് ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

13. And thou shalt make ouches of gold;

14. തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു ചരടുപോലെ മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായി രണ്ടു സരപ്പളിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; മുറിച്ചു കുത്തുപണിയായ സരപ്പളി തടങ്ങളില് ചേര്ക്കേണം.

14. and two chains of pure gold, like cord, shalt thou make them, of wreathen work, and thou shalt put the wreathen chains on the ouches.

15. ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കം ചിത്രപ്പണിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; അതു ഏഫോദിന്റെ പണിക്കൊത്തതായി പൊന്നു, നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല്, പിരിച്ച പഞ്ഞിനൂല് എന്നിവ കൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

15. And thou shalt make a breastpiece for giving sentence the work of a skilful weaver, like the work of the ephod, shalt thou make it, of gold, blue, and purple and crimson and fine-twined linen, shalt thou make it.

16. അതു സമചതുരവും ഇരട്ടയും ഒരു ചാണ് നീളമുള്ളതും ഒരു ചാണ് വീതിയുള്ളതും ആയിരിക്കേണം.

16. Four-square, shall it be double, a span the length thereof and a span the breadth thereof.

17. അതില് കല്പതിപ്പായി നാലു നിര കല്ലു പതിക്കേണം; താമ്രമണി, പീതരത്നം, മരതകം എന്നിവ ഒന്നാമത്തെ നിര.

17. And thou shalt set therein a setting of stones, four rows of stones, one row a sardius, a topaz and an emerald, the first row;

18. രണ്ടാമത്തെ നിരമാണിക്യം, നീലക്കല്ലു, വജ്രം.

18. and the second row a carbuncle a sapphire and a diamond;

19. മൂന്നാമത്തെ നിരപത്മരാഗം, വൈഡൂര്യം, സുഗന്ധിക്കല്ലു.

19. and the third row an opal, an agate, and an amethyst;

20. നാലാമത്തെ നിരപുഷ്പരാഗം, ഗോമേദകം, സൂര്യകാന്തം. അവ അതതു തടത്തില്പൊന്നില് പതിച്ചിരിക്കേണം.

20. and the fourth row, a Tarshish stone, a sardonyx, and a jasper, enclosed with gold, shall they be when they are set.

21. ഈ കല്ലു യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേരോടുകൂടെ അവരുടെ പേര്പോലെ പന്ത്രണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം; പന്ത്രണ്ടു ഗോത്രങ്ങളില് ഔരോന്നിന്റെ പേര് അവയില് മുദ്രക്കൊത്തായി കൊത്തിയിരിക്കേണം.

21. And the stones shall be after the names of the sons of Israel twelve, after their names, as the engravings of a seal-ring everyone after his name, shall they be, for the twelve tribes,

22. പതക്കത്തിന്നു ചരടുപോലെ മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായി തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു സരപ്പളി ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

22. And thou shalt make, upon the breastpiece, chains like cords of wreathen work, of pure gold.

23. പതക്കത്തിന്നു പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി പതക്കത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തും വട്ടക്കണ്ണി വെക്കേണം.

23. And thou shalt make, upon the breastpiece, two rings of gold, and thou shalt place the two rings, upon the two ends of the breastpiece.

24. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായ സരപ്പളി രണ്ടും പതക്കത്തിന്റെ അറ്റങ്ങളില് ഉള്ള വട്ടക്കണ്ണി രണ്ടിലും കൊളുത്തേണം.

24. And thou shalt hang the two wreathen chains of gold upon the two rings, upon the ends of the breastpiece;

25. മുറിച്ചുകുത്തുപണിയായ രണ്ടു സരപ്പളിയുടെ മറ്റേ അറ്റം രണ്ടും രണ്ടു തടത്തില് കൊളുത്തി ഏഫോദിന്റെ ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടങ്ങളില് അതിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു വെക്കേണം.

25. and the other two ends of the two wreathen chains, shalt thou fasten upon the two ouches, so shalt thou hang them upon the shoulderpieces of the ephod, in the forefront thereof.

26. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി പതക്കത്തിന്റെ മറ്റേ രണ്ടു അറ്റത്തും ഏഫോദിന്റെ കീഴറ്റത്തിന്നു നേരെ അതിന്റെ വിളുമ്പില് അകത്തായി വെക്കേണം.

26. And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastpiece upon the border thereof, which is on the side of the ephod inwards.

27. പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു വേറെ രണ്ടു വട്ടക്കണ്ണി ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ഏഫോദിന്റെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു അതിന്റെ രണ്ടു ചുമല്ക്കണ്ടത്തിന്മേല് താഴെ അതിന്റെ ഇണെപ്പിന്നരികെ ഏഫോദിന്റെ നടുക്കെട്ടിന്നു മേലായി വെക്കേണം.

27. And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and place them upon the two shoulderpieces of the ephod beneath, on the front of the face thereof, over against its joining, above the curious band of the ephod:

28. പതക്കം ഏഫോദിന്റെ നടുക്കെട്ടിന്നു മേലായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഏഫോദില് ആടാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അതിന്റെ വട്ടക്കണ്ണികളാല് ഏഫോദിന്റെ വട്ടക്കണ്ണികളോടു നീലനാടകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടേണം.

28. that they may bind the breastpiece by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue, so that it may remain upon the curious band of the ephod, and the breastpiece not be removed from of the ephod.

29. അങ്ങനെ അഹരോന് വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോള് ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കത്തില് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ പേര് എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഔര്മ്മെക്കായിട്ടു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് വഹിക്കേണം.

29. So shall Aaron bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastpiece for giving sentence upon his heart when he goeth into the holy place, for a memorial before Yahweh continually.

30. ന്യായവിധിപ്പതക്കത്തിന്നകത്തു ഊറീമും തുമ്മീമും (വെളിപ്പാടും സത്യവും) വെക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധാനത്തിങ്കല് കടക്കുമ്പോള് അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കേണം; അഹരോന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കുള്ള ന്യായവിധി എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്മേല് വഹിക്കേണം.

30. Thus shalt thou place, in the breastpiece for giving sentence, the lights and the perfections, so shall they be upon the heart of Aaron when he goeth in before Yahweh, so shall Aaron bear the sentence of the sons of Israel, upon his heart before Yahweh continually.

31. ഏഫോദിന്റെ അങ്കി മുഴുവനും നീല നൂല്കൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

31. And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod wholly of blue;

32. അതിന്റെ നടുവില് തല കടപ്പാന് ഒരു ദ്വാരം വേണം; ദ്വാരത്തിന്നു നെയ്ത്തുപണിയായ ഒരു നാട ചുറ്റിലും വേണം; അതു കീറിപ്പോകാതിരിപ്പാന് കവചത്തിന്റെ ദ്വാരംപോലെ അതിന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണം.

32. and the opening for his head shall be in the midst thereof, a border, shall there be to the opening thereof round about the work of a weaver, like the opening of a coat of mail, shall there be to it, it must not be rent.

33. നീലനൂല്, ധൂമ്രനൂല്, ചുവപ്പുനൂല് എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു ചുറ്റും അതിന്റെ വിളുമ്പില് മാതളപ്പഴങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ഇടയില് ചുറ്റും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു മണികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

33. And thou shalt make upon the skirts thereof pomegranates of blue and purple and crimson, upon the skirts thereof round about and bells of gold in the midst of them round about:

34. അങ്കിയുടെ വിളുമ്പില് ചുറ്റും ഒരു പൊന്മണി ഒരു മാതളപ്പഴം, ഒരു പൊന്മണി ഒരു മാതളപ്പഴം, ഇങ്ങനെ വേണം.

34. a bell of gold and a pomegranate, a bell of gold, and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe, round about.

35. ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്കയില് അഹരോന് അതു ധരിക്കേണം. യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോഴും പുറത്തുവരുമ്പോഴും അവന് മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കേണം.

35. And it shall be upon Aaron, for ministering, so shall be heard the sound of him when he goeth into the holy place, before Yahweh, and cometh out, and dieth not.

36. തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതില് “യഹോവേക്കു വിശുദ്ധം” എന്നു മുദ്രക്കൊത്തായി കൊത്തേണം.

36. And thou shalt make a burnished plate, of pure gold, and shalt engrave thereupon, like the engravings of a seal-ring, Holiness to Yahweh.

37. അതു മുടിമേല് ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീലച്ചരടുകൊണ്ടു കെട്ടേണം; അതു മുടിയുടെ മുന് ഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കേണം.

37. And thou shalt put it upon a cord of blue, so shall it be upon the turban, upon the forefront of the turban, shall it be.

38. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് തങ്ങളുടെ സകല വിശുദ്ധ വഴിപാടുകളിലും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളുടെ കുറ്റം അഹരോന് വഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു അഹരോന്റെ നെറ്റിയില് ഇരിക്കേണം; യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അവര്ക്കും പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു എപ്പോഴും അവന്റെ നെറ്റിയില് ഇരിക്കേണം.

38. So shall it be upon the forehead of Aaron, and Aaron shall bear the iniquity of the hallowed things, which the sons of Israel shall hallow, for all their hallowed gift, and it shall be upon his forehead continually, that there may be acceptance for them before Yahweh.

39. പഞ്ഞിനൂല്കൊണ്ടു ഉള്ളങ്കിയും വിചിത്രപ്പണിയായി നെയ്യേണം; പഞ്ഞിനൂല്കൊണ്ടു മുടിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; നടുക്കെട്ടും ചിത്രത്തയ്യല്പണിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

39. And thou shalt weave, in checker work the tunic of fine linen, and shalt make a turban of fine linen, and, a girdle, shalt thou make the work of an embroiderer.

40. അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്ക്കും മഹത്വത്തിന്നും അലങ്കാരത്തിന്നുമായിട്ടു അങ്കി, നടുക്കെട്ടു, തലപ്പാവു എന്നിവ ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

40. And, for the sons of Aaron, shalt thou make tunics, and shalt make for them girdles, and caps, shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.

41. അവ നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോനെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും ധരിപ്പിക്കേണം; അവര് എനിക്കു പുരോഹിത ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ അഭിഷേകവും കരപൂരണവും ചെയ്തു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണം.

41. And thou shalt clothe therewith Aaron thy brother, and his sons, with him, and shalt anoint them and install them, and hallow them, so shall they minister as priests unto me.

42. അവരുടെ നഗ്നത മറെപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും ചണനൂല്കൊണ്ടു കാല്ചട്ടയും ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; അതു അര തുടങ്ങി തുടവരെ എത്തേണം.

42. And thou shalt make for them breeches of linen, to cover their unseemliness, from the loins even unto the thighs, shall they be;

43. അഹരോനും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തില് ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്വാന് സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തില് കടക്കുമ്പോഴോ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുമ്പോഴോ കുറ്റം ചുമന്നു മരിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവര് അതു ധരിക്കേണം. അവന്നും അവന്റെ സന്തതിക്കും അതു എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

43. so shall they be upon Aaron and upon his sons, when they go into the tent of meeting, or when they approach unto the altar, to minister in the holy place, lest they bear iniquity, and die, a statute age-abiding, to him and to his seed after him.
