1. അയ്യോ, അരീയേലേ, അരീയേലേ! ദാവീദ് പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരുന്ന നഗരമേ! ആണ്ടോടു ആണ്ടു കൂട്ടുവിന് ; ഉത്സവങ്ങള് മുറെക്കു വന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ.

1. Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city [where] David dwelt! add ye one year to another; the lambs shall cease.

2. എന്നാല് ഞാന് അരീയേലിനെ ഞെരുക്കും; ദുഃഖവും വിലാപവും ഉണ്ടാകും; അതു എനിക്കു അരീയേലായി തന്നേ ഇരിക്കും.

2. Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.

3. ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങി വാടകോരി നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കയും നിന്റെ നേരെ കൊത്തളം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

3. And I will camp against thee round about and will lay siege against thee with a mount, and I will raise forts against thee.

4. അപ്പോള് നീ താണു, നിലത്തുനിന്നു സംസാരിക്കും; നിന്റെ വാക്കു പൊടിയില്നിന്നു പതുക്കെ വരും; വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്റേതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ഒച്ച നിലത്തുനിന്നു വരും; നിന്റെ വാക്കു പൊടിയില്നിന്നു ചിലെക്കും.

4. And thou shalt be brought down [and] shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the dust, and thy voice shall be as that of a spiritist, out of the ground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.

5. നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ സംഘം നേരിയ പൊടിപോലെയും നിഷ്കണ്ടകന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടം, പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന പതിര്പോലെയും ഇരിക്കും; അതു ഒരു ക്ഷണമാത്രകൊണ്ടു പെട്ടെന്നു സംഭവിക്കും.

5. Moreover the multitude of thy enemies [that shall come from afar] shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the strong ones [shall be] as chaff that passes away: [yea], it shall be at an instant suddenly.

6. ഇടിമുഴക്കത്തോടും ഭൂകമ്പത്തോടും മഹാനാദത്തോടും കൂടെ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിജ്വാലയുമായി അതു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയാല് സന്ദര്ശിക്കപ്പെടും.

6. Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of the hosts with thunders, with earthquakes, and with great noise, with whirlwind and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

7. അരീയേലിന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലജാതികളുടെയും കൂട്ടം അതിന്നു അതിന്റെ കോട്ടെക്കും നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു അതിനെ വിഷമിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും തന്നേ, ഒരു സ്വപ്നംപോലെ, ഒരു രാത്രിദര്ശനംപോലെ ആകും.

7. And the multitude of all the Gentiles that shall fight against Ariel, even all that shall fight against her and their siege weapons, and those that shall distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.

8. വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നവന് താന് ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉണരുമ്പോള് വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന് താന് പാനംചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉണരുമ്പോള് ക്ഷീണിച്ചും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും സീയോന് പര്വ്വതത്തോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലജാതികളുടെയും കൂട്ടം ഇരിക്കും.

8. It shall even be as he who dreams that he is hungry, and in his dream, he eats; but when he awakes, his soul [is] empty; and [as] he who dreams that he is thirsty, and, in his dream, he drinks; but he awakes, and, behold, [he is] faint, and his soul [is still] thirsty: so shall the multitude of all the Gentiles be, that shall fight against Mount Zion.

9. വിസ്മയിച്ചു സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകുവിന് ; അന്ധതപിടിച്ചു കുരുടരായിത്തീരുവിന് ; അവര് മത്തരായിരിക്കുന്നു. വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടല്ലതാനും; അവര് ചാഞ്ചാടിനടക്കുന്നു; മദ്യപാനംകൊണ്ടല്ലതാനും.

9. Become ye dumb, and make others dumb; become ye blind, and blind others: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

10. യഹോവ ഗാഢനിദ്ര നിങ്ങളുടെമേല് പകര്ന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണുകളെ അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് പ്രവാചകന്മാര്ക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദര്ശകന്മാരായ തലവന്മാര്ക്കും മൂടുപടം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. For the LORD has extended upon you the spirit of deep sleep and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, he has covered the seers with sleep.

11. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സകലദര്ശനവും മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങള് പോലെ ആയിത്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിനെ അക്ഷരവിദ്യയുള്ള ഒരുത്തന്റെ കയ്യില് കൊടുത്തുഇതൊന്നു വായിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് എനിക്കു വഹിയാ; അതിന്നു മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറയും.

11. And every vision is unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which if it were delivered to one that knows how to read, saying, Read this, I pray thee: he shall say, I cannot; for it [is] sealed:

12. അല്ല, ആ പുസ്തകം അക്ഷരവിദ്യയില്ലാത്തവന്റെ കയ്യില് കൊടുത്തുഇതൊന്നു വായിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് എനിക്കു അക്ഷര വിദ്യയില്ല എന്നു പറയും.

12. And if the book were delivered to him that does not know how to read, saying, Read this, I pray thee: he shall say, I do not know how to read.

13. ഈ ജനം അടുത്തു വന്നു വായ് കൊണ്ടും അധരംകൊണ്ടും എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവര് എങ്കല്നിന്നു ദൂരത്തു അകറ്റി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടുള്ള അവരുടെ ഭക്തി, മന:പാഠമാക്കിയ മാനുഷകല്പനയത്രെ.

13. Therefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people sacrifice unto me and honour me with their lips, but have removed their heart far from me, and their worship with which they honour me was taught by the commandment of men:

14. ഇതു കാരണത്താല് ഞാന് ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് ഇനിയും ഒരു അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തി, അത്ഭുതവും ആശ്ചര്യവും ആയോരു പ്രവൃത്തി തന്നേ, ചെയ്യും; അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനം നശിക്കും; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയും മറഞ്ഞുപോകും എന്നു കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

14. Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvellous [work among] this people with [a] fearful miracle: for the wisdom of their wise [men] shall perish, and the prudence of their prudent [men] shall fade away.

15. തങ്ങളുടെ ആലോചനയെ യഹോവേക്കു അഗാധമായി മറെച്ചുവേക്കുവാന് നോക്കുകയും തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അന്ധകാരത്തില് ചെയ്കയുംഞങ്ങളെ ആര് കാണുന്നു? ഞങ്ങളെ ആര് അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

15. Woe unto those that hide themselves from the LORD, covering the counsel; and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?

16. അയ്യോ, ഇതെന്തൊരു മറിവു! കുശവനും കളിമണ്ണും ഒരുപോലെ എന്നു വിചാരിക്കാമോ? ഉണ്ടായതു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയവനെക്കുറിച്ചുഅവന് എന്നെ ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടില്ല എന്നും, ഉരുവായതു ഉരുവാക്കിയവനെക്കുറിച്ചുഅവന്നു ബുദ്ധിയില്ല എന്നും പറയുമോ?
റോമർ 9:20-21

16. Surely your subversion shall be as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He did not make me? or shall the vessel say of him that made it, He did not understand?

17. ഇനി അല്പകാലംകൊണ്ടു ലെബാനോന് ഒരു ഉദ്യാനമായി തീരുകയും ഉദ്യാനം വനമായി എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്കയില്ലയോ?

17. [Is] it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into Carmel [a fruitful field], and shall not Carmel be esteemed as a forest?

18. അന്നാളില് ചെകിടന്മാര് പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേള്ക്കുകയും കരുടന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണുകള് ഇരുളും അന്ധകാരവും നീങ്ങി കാണുകയും
മത്തായി 11:5

18. And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see in the midst of darkness, and of gross darkness.

19. സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവര്ക്കും യഹോവയില് സന്തോഷം വര്ദ്ധിക്കയും മനുഷ്യരില് സാധുക്കളായവര് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനില് ആനന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

19. Then the humble shall grow in joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20. നിഷ്കണ്ടന് നാസ്തിയായും പരിഹാസി ഇല്ലാതെയായും ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

20. For the violent one shall be done away with, and the scorner shall be consumed, and all those that rose early unto iniquity shall be cut off:

21. മനുഷ്യരെ വ്യവഹാരത്തില് കുറ്റക്കാരാക്കുകയും പട്ടണ വാതില്ക്കല് ന്യായം വിസ്തരിക്കുന്നവന്നു കണിവെക്കയും നീതിമാനെ നിസ്സാരകാര്യംകൊണ്ടു ബഹിഷ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരായി നീതികേടിന്നു ജാഗ്രതയുള്ള ഏവരും ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. Those that made men to sin in word; those that laid a snare for him that reproved in the gate, and turned that which is just into vanity.

22. ആകയാല് അബ്രാഹാമിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത യഹോവ യക്കോബ്ഗൃഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയാക്കോബ് ഇനി ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകയില്ല; അവന്റെ മുഖം ഇനി വിളറിപ്പോകയുമില്ല.

22. Therefore thus saith the LORD, who ransomed Abraham, unto the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale;

23. എന്നാല് അവന് , അവന്റെ മക്കള് തന്നേ, തങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി കാണുമ്പോള് അവര് എന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കും; അതേ അവര് യാക്കോബിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.

23. for he shall see his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name, and shall sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel;

24. മനോവിഭ്രമമുള്ളവര് ജ്ഞാനം ഗ്രഹിക്കയും പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നവര് ഉപദേശം പഠിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

24. and those that erred in spirit shall learn understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.:
