1. ഇതാ, ഞാന് താങ്ങുന്ന എന്റെ ദാസന് ; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ വൃതന് ; ഞാന് എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അവന്റെ മേല് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് ജാതികളോടു ന്യായം പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.

1. Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, {in whom} my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

2. അവന് നിലവിളിക്കയില്ല, ഒച്ചയുണ്ടാക്കുകയില്ല, തെരുവീഥിയില് തന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്പ്പിക്കയുമില്ല.

2. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

3. ചതഞ്ഞ ഔട അവന് ഒടിച്ചുകളകയില്ല; പുകയുന്ന തിരി കെടുത്തുകളകയില്ല; അവന് സത്യത്തോടെ ന്യായം പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.

3. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment to truth.

4. ഭൂമിയില് ന്യായം സ്ഥാപിക്കുംവരെ അവര് തളരുകയില്ല; അധൈര്യപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല; അവന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിന്നായി ദ്വീപുകള് കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he hath set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

5. ആകാശത്തെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു വിരിക്കയും ഭൂമിയെയും അതിലെ ഉല്പന്നങ്ങളെയും പരത്തുകയും അതിലെ ജനത്തിന്നു ശ്വാസത്തെയും അതില് നടക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും പ്രാണനെയും കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്ത യഹോവയായ ദൈവം ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു

5. Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and expanded them; he that spread forth the earth, and that which it produceth; he that giveth breath to the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein.

6. I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thy hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

7. യഹോവയായ ഞാന് നിന്നെ നീതിയോടെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ കൈ പിടിച്ചു നിന്നെ കാക്കും; നിന്നെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നിയമവും ജാതികളുടെ പ്രകാശവും ആക്കും.

7. To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, {and} them that sit in darkness out of the prison-house.

8. ഞാന് യഹോവ അതുതന്നേ എന്റെ നാമം; ഞാന് എന്റെ മഹത്വം മറ്റൊരുത്തന്നും എന്റെ സ്തുതി വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കും വിട്ടുകൊടുക്കയില്ല.

8. I {am} the LORD: that {is} my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

9. പണ്ടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതു ഇതാ, സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് പുതിയതു അറിയിക്കുന്നു; അതു ഉത്ഭവിക്കുമ്മുമ്പെ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ കേള്പ്പിക്കുന്നു.

9. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

10. സമുദ്രത്തില് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവരും അതില് ഉള്ള സകലവും ദ്വീപുകളും അവയിലെ നിവാസികളും ആയുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു പുതിയ പാട്ടും ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തുനിന്നു അവന്നു സ്തുതിയും പാടുവിന് .

10. Sing to the LORD a new song, {and} his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is in it; the isles, and their inhabitants.

11. മരുഭൂമിയും അതിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളും കേദാര് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ശബ്ദം ഉയര്ത്തട്ടെ; ശൈലനിവാസികള് ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കയും മലമുകളില് നിന്നു ആര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

11. Let the wilderness and its cities lift up {their voice}, the villages {that} Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.

12. അവര് യഹോവേക്കു മഹത്വം കൊടുത്തു അവന്റെ സ്തുതിയെ ദ്വീപുകളില് പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ.

12. Let them give glory to the LORD, and declare his praise in the isles.

13. യഹോവ ഒരു വീരനെപ്പോലെ പുറപ്പെടും; ഒരു യോദ്ധാവിനെപ്പോലെ തീക്ഷണതയെ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കും; അവന് ആര്ത്തുവിളിക്കും; അവന് ഉച്ചത്തില് ആര്ക്കും; തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോടു വീര്യം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കും.

13. The LORD will go forth as a mighty man, he will stir up jealousy like a man of war: he will cry, yes, roar; he will prevail against his enemies.

14. I have long time held my peace; I have been still, {and} restrained myself: {now} will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

15. I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers {to be} islands, and I will dry up the pools.

16. ഞാന് കുരുടന്മാരെ അവര് അറിയാത്ത വഴിയില് നടത്തും; അവര് അറിയാത്ത പാതകളില് അവരെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുമാറാക്കും; ഞാന് അവരുടെ മുമ്പില് ഇരുട്ടിനെ വെളിച്ചവും ദുര്ഘടങ്ങളെ സമഭൂമിയും ആക്കും; ഞാന് ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുകളയാതെ നിവര്ത്തിക്കും.

16. And I will bring the blind by a way {that} they knew not; I will lead them in paths {that} they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do for them, and not forsake them.

17. വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളില് ആശ്രയിച്ചു ബിംബങ്ങളോടുനിങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെന്നു പറയുന്നവര് പിന് തിരിഞ്ഞു ഏറ്റവും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.

17. They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye {are} our gods.

18. ചെകിടന്മാരേ, കേള്പ്പിന് ; കുരുടന്മാരേ, നോക്കിക്കാണ്മിന് !

18. Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.

19. എന്റെ ദാസനല്ലാതെ കുരുടന് ആര്? ഞാന് അയക്കുന്ന ദൂതനെപ്പോലെ ചെകിടന് ആര്? എന്റെ പ്രിയനെപ്പോലെ കുരുടനും യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനെപ്പോലെ അന്ധനുമായവന് ആര്?

19. Who {is} blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger {that} I sent? who {is} blind as {he that is} perfect, and blind as the LORD'S servant?

20. പലതും കണ്ടിട്ടും നീ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; ചെവി തുറന്നിരുന്നിട്ടും അവന് കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ല.

20. Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.

21. യഹോവ തന്റെ നീതിനിമിത്തം ഉപദേശത്തെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമാക്കി മഹത്വീകരിപ്പാന് പ്രസാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make {it} honorable.

22. എന്നാല് ഇതു മോഷ്ടിച്ചും കവര്ന്നും പോയിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ജനമാകുന്നു; അവരൊക്കെയും കുഴികളില് കുടുങ്ങിയും കാരാഗൃഹങ്ങളില് അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് കവര്ച്ചയായ്പോയി, ആരും വിടുവിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവര് കൊള്ളയായ്പോയി, മടക്കിത്തരിക എന്നു ആരും പറയുന്നതുമില്ല.

22. But this {is} a people robbed and pillaged; {they are} all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison-houses; they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

23. നിങ്ങളില് ആര് അതിന്നു ചെവികൊടുക്കും? ഭാവികാലത്തേക്കു ആര് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേള്ക്കും?

23. Who among you will give ear to this? {who} will hearken, and hear for the time to come?

24. യാക്കോബിനെ കൊള്ളയായും യിസ്രായേലിനെ കവര്ച്ചക്കാര്ക്കും ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തവന് ആര്? യഹോവ തന്നേയല്ലോ; അവനോടു നാം പാപം ചെയ്തുപോയി അവന്റെ വഴികളില് നടപ്പാന് അവര്ക്കും മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അവര് അനുസരിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

24. Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient to his law.

25. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് തന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപവും യുദ്ധകാഠിന്യവും അവരുടെമേല് പകര്ന്നു; അതു അവരുടെ ചുറ്റും ജ്വലിച്ചിട്ടും അവര് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അതു അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും അവര് കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല.

25. Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire around, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid {it} not to heart.
