1. യിരെമ്യാവു കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യം അവന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah: that year was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar.

2. അതിനെ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ, അതിനെ നിവര്ത്തിപ്പാന് നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ, യഹോവ എന്നു നാമം ഉള്ളവന് തന്നേ, ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു;

2. And the king of Babylon's army was then besieging Jerusalem; and the prophet Jeremiah was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah's house.

3. എന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്ക; ഞാന് നിനക്കുത്തരം അരുളം; നീ അറിയാത്ത മഹത്തായും അഗോചരമായും ഉള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളെ ഞാന് നിന്നെ അറിയിക്കും.

3. For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Why dost thou prophesy and say, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

4. വാടകള്ക്കും വാളിന്നും എതിരെ തടുത്തു നില്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നായി ഈ നഗരത്തില് പൊളിച്ചിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ അരമനകളെയും കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans; for he shall certainly be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

5. അവര് കല്ദയരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്വാന് ചെല്ലുന്നു; എന്നാല് അതു, ഞാന് എന്റെ കോപത്തിലും എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിലും സംഹരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരുടെ ശവങ്ങള്കൊണ്ടു അവയെ നിറെപ്പാനത്രേ; അവരുടെ സകലദോഷവും നിമിത്തം ഞാന് എന്റെ മുഖത്തെ ഈ നഗരത്തിന്നു മറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. and he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith Jehovah: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper?

6. ഇതാ, ഞാന് രോഗശാന്തിയും ആരോഗ്യവും വരുത്തി അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും സമാധാനത്തിന്റെയും സത്യത്തിന്റെയും സമൃദ്ധി അവര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.
മത്തായി 27:9-10

6. And Jeremiah said, The word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

7. ഞാന് യെഹൂദയുടെ പ്രവാസികളെയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രവാസികളെയും മടക്കിവരുത്തി പണ്ടത്തെപ്പോലെ അവര്ക്കും അഭിവൃത്തി വരുത്തും.

7. Behold, Hanameel, the son of Shallum thine uncle, shall come unto thee, saying, Buy for thyself my field which is in Anathoth; for thine is the right of redemption, to buy [it].

8. അവര് എന്നോടു പിഴെച്ചതായ സകല അകൃത്യത്തെയും ഞാന് നീക്കി അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കയും അവര് പാപം ചെയ്തു എന്നോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ചതായ സകല അകൃത്യങ്ങളെയും മോചിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

8. And Hanameel, mine uncle's son, came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Jehovah, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine: buy [it] for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah.

9. ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാ നന്മയെയും കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുന്ന സകലഭൂജാതികളുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ അതു എനിക്കു ആനന്ദനാമവും പ്രശംസയും മഹത്വവും ആയിരിക്കും; ഞാന് അതിന്നു വരുത്തുന്ന എല്ലാനന്മയും നിമിത്തവും സര്വ്വ സമാധാനവും നിമിത്തവും അവര് പേടിച്ചു വിറെക്കും.

9. And I bought of Hanameel, mine uncle's son, the field which is in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, seventeen shekels of silver.

10. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമനുഷ്യരും മൃഗവും ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥലത്തും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും മനുഷ്യനോ, നിവാസികളോ, മൃഗമോ ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേംവീഥികളിലും

10. And I subscribed the writing, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed the money in the balances.

11. ഇനിയും ആനന്ദഘോഷവും സന്തോഷധ്വനിയും മണവാളന്റെ സ്വരവും മണവാട്ടിയുടെ സ്വരവുംസൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിന് , യഹോവ നല്ലവനല്ലോ, അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു എന്നു പറയുന്നവരുടെ ശബ്ദവും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് സ്തോത്രയാഗം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നവരുടെ ശബ്ദവും കേള്ക്കും; ഞാന് ദേശത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥിതി മാറ്റി പണ്ടത്തെപ്പോലെ ആക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

11. And I took the writing of the purchase, that which was sealed [according to] the law and the statutes, and that which was open;

12. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുമനുഷ്യനും മൃഗവും ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥലത്തും അതിന്റെ സകലപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ആടുകളെ കിടത്തുന്ന ഇടയന്മാര്ക്കും ഇനിയും മേച്ചല്പുറം ഉണ്ടാകും;

12. and I gave the writing of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Nerijah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's [son], and in the presence of the witnesses that had subscribed the writing of purchase, before all the Jews that were sitting in the court of the guard.

13. മലനാട്ടിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും താഴ്വീതിയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും തെക്കെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ബെന്യാമീന് ദേശത്തും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ ചുറ്റുവട്ടത്തിലും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ആടുകള് എണ്ണുന്നവന്റെ കൈകൂ കീഴെ ഇനിയും കടന്നുപോകും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

13. And I charged Baruch in their presence, saying,

14. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തോടും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത നല്ലവചനം നിവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന കാലം വരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

14. Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these writings, this writing of the purchase, both that which is sealed and this writing which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may remain many days.

15. ആ നാളുകളിലും ആ കാലത്തും ഞാന് ദാവീദിന്നു നീതിയുള്ളോരു മുളയായവനെ മുളെപ്പിക്കും; അവന് ദേശത്തു നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തും.

15. For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall again be purchased in this land.

16. അന്നാളില് യെഹൂദാ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; യെരൂശലേം നിര്ഭയമായ്വസിക്കും; അതിന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ നീതി എന്നു പേര് പറയും.

16. And after I had given the writing of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Nerijah, I prayed unto Jehovah saying,

17. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയിസ്രായേല് ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരിപ്പാന് ദാവീദിന്നു ഒരു പുരുഷന് ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയില്ല.

17. Alas, Lord Jehovah! Behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and stretched-out arm; there is nothing too hard for thee:

18. ദിനംപ്രതി ഹോമയാഗം കഴിപ്പാനും ഭോജനയാഗം ദഹിപ്പിപ്പാനും ഹനനയാഗം അര്പ്പിപ്പാനും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ലേവ്യ പുരോഹിതന്മാര്ക്കും ഒരു പുരുഷന് ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയുമില്ല.

18. who shewest mercy unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them, thou, the great, the mighty *God, -- Jehovah of hosts is his name;

19. യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

19. great in counsel and mighty in work, whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the children of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

20. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുതക്കസമയത്തു പകലും രാവും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം പകലിനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമവും രാത്രിയോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമവും ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കുവാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴിയുമെങ്കില്,

20. who hast displayed signs and wonders unto this day, in the land of Egypt and in Israel and among [other] men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day.

21. എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്നു അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തില് ഇരുന്നു വാഴുവാന് ഒരു മകന് ഇല്ലാതെ വരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവനോടും എന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യപുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും ഉള്ള എന്റെ നിയമവും ദുര്ബ്ബലമായ്വരാം.

21. And thou broughtest forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt by signs, and by wonders, and by a powerful hand, and by a stretched-out arm, and by great terror;

22. ആകാശത്തിലെ സൈന്യത്തെ എണ്ണുവാനും കടല്പുറത്തെ മണല് അളക്കുവാനും കഴിയാത്തതുപോലെ ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയെയും എന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യരെയും വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും.

22. and didst give them this land, which thou hadst sworn unto their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey.

23. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

23. And they came in and possessed it: but they hearkened not unto thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do; so that thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them.

24. യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു വംശങ്ങളെയും അവന് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഈ ജനം പറയുന്നതു നീ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് എന്റെ ജനത്തെ അതു ഇനി ഒരു ജാതിയല്ല എന്നു ദുഷിച്ചു പറയുന്നു.

24. Behold the mounds, they are come unto the city for taking it; and the city is given over into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, by the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and behold, thou seest [it].

25. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; പകലിനോടും രാത്രിയോടും ഉള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം നിലനിലക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്, ഞാന് ആകാശത്തിന്റെയും ഭൂമിയുടെയും വ്യവസ്ഥ നിയമിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെങ്കില്,

25. And thou, Lord Jehovah, thou hast said unto me, Buy for thyself the field for money, and take witnesses; -- and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.

26. ഞാന് യാക്കോബിന്റെയും എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെയും സന്തതിയെ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെയും സന്തതിക്കു അധിപതിമാരായിരിപ്പാന് അവന്റെ സന്തതിയില് നിന്നു ഒരാളെ എടുക്കാതവണ്ണം തള്ളിക്കളയും. അവരുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ ഞാന് മടക്കിവരുത്തുകയും അവര്ക്കും കരുണകാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

26. And the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, saying,
