1. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു, പന്ത്രണ്ടാം മാസം, ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the tenth month, on the first [day] of the month, [that] the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു വിലാപം തുടങ്ങി അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതുജാതികളില് ബാലസിംഹമായുള്ളോവേ, നീ നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ കടലിലെ നക്രംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു; നീ നദികളില് ചാടി കാല്കൊണ്ടു വെള്ളം കലക്കി നദികളെ അഴുക്കാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

2. Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him: You have become like a lion among the nations, and as a serpent that is in the sea; and you made assaults with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and trampled your rivers.

3. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അനേകം ജാതികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ മേല് എന്റെ വലയെ വീശിക്കും; അവര് എന്റെ വലയില് നിന്നെ വലിച്ചെടുക്കും;

3. Thus says the Lord: I will also cast over you the nets of many nations, and will bring you up with My hook;

4. ഞാന് നിന്നെ കരെക്കു വലിച്ചിടും; നിന്നെ വെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തു എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും; ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവ ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെമേല് ഇരിക്കുമാറാക്കി സര്വ്വഭൂമിയിലെയും മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കു നിന്നെ ഇരയാക്കി തൃപ്തിവരുത്തും.

4. and I will stretch you upon the earth. The fields shall be covered [with you], and I will cause all the birds of the sky to settle upon you, and I will fill [with you] all the wild beasts of the earth.

5. ഞാന് നിന്റെ മാംസത്തെ പര്വ്വതങ്ങളിന്മേല് കൂട്ടി നിന്റെ പിണംകൊണ്ടു താഴ്വരകളെ നിറെക്കും.

5. And I will cast your flesh upon the mountains, and will saturate [them] with your blood.

6. ഞാന് നിന്റെ ചെളിനിലത്തെ മലകളോളം നിന്റെ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നനെക്കും; നീര്ച്ചാലുകള് നിന്നാല് നിറയും.

6. And the land shall be drenched with your dung, because of your multitude upon the mountains; I will fill the valleys with you.

7. നിന്നെ കെടുത്തുകളയുമ്പോള് ഞാന് ആകാശത്തെ മൂടി അതിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെ കറുപ്പുടുപ്പിക്കും; ഞാന് സാര്യനെ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മറെക്കും; ചന്ദ്രന് പ്രകാശം നലകുകയും ഇല്ല.

7. And I will veil the heavens when you are extinguished, and will darken the stars thereof; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.

8. ആകാശത്തിലെ ശോഭയുള്ള ജ്യോതിസ്സുകളെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം കറുപ്പുടുപ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ ദേശത്തില് അന്ധകാരം വരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

8. All the [bodies] that give light in the sky shall be darkened over you, and I will bring darkness upon the earth, says the Lord God.

9. നിന്റെ നാശം ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിലും നീ അറിയാത്ത ദേശങ്ങളോളവും പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുമ്പോള് ഞാന് അനേക ജാതികളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കും.

9. And I will provoke to anger the heart of many people, when I shall lead you captive among the nations, to a land which you have not known.

10. ഞാന് അനേകം ജാതികളെ നിന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സ്തംഭിക്കുമാറാക്കും; അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാര് കാണ്കെ ഞാന് എന്റെ വാള് വീശുമ്പോള്, അവര് നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം അത്യന്തം പേടിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്റെ വീഴ്ചയുടെ നാളില് അവര് ഔരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ പ്രാണനെ ഔര്ത്തു മാത്രതോറും വിറെക്കും.

10. And many nations shall mourn over you, and their kings shall be utterly amazed, when My sword flies in their faces, as they wait for their [own] fall from the day of your fall.

11. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ വാള് നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും.

11. For thus says the Lord God: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you,

12. വീരന്മാരുടെ വാള്കൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിന്റെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ വീഴുമാറാക്കും; അവരെല്ലാവരും ജാതികളില്വെച്ചു ഉഗ്രന്മാര്; അവര് മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ പ്രതാപത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതിലെ പുരുഷാരമൊക്കെയും നശിച്ചുപോകും.

12. with the swords of mighty men; and I will cast down your strength; [they are] all destroying ones from the nations, and they shall destroy the pride of Egypt, and all her strength shall be crushed.

13. വളരെ വെള്ളത്തിന്നരികെനിന്നു ഞാന് അതിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങളെയും നശിപ്പിക്കും ഇനിമേല് മനുഷ്യന്റെ കാല് അതിനെ കലക്കുകയില്ല; മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ കുളമ്പും അതിനെ കലക്കുകയില്ല.

13. And I will destroy all her cattle from [beside] the great water; and the foot of man shall not trouble it anymore, and the step of cattle shall no more trample it.

14. ആ കാലത്തു ഞാന് അവരുടെ വെള്ളം തെളിയുമാറാക്കി അവരുടെ നദികളെ എണ്ണപോലെ ഒഴുകുമാറാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

14. Thus shall their waters then be at rest, and their rivers shall flow like oil, says the Lord,

15. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ പാഴാക്കി ദേശം ശൂന്യമായി അതിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ഇല്ലാതാകുമ്പോഴും ഞാന് അതിലെ നിവാസികളെ ഒക്കെയും നശിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോഴും, ഞാന് യഹോവ എന്നു അവര് അറിയും.

15. when I shall give up Egypt to destruction, and the land shall be made desolate with the fullness thereof; when I shall scatter all that dwell in it, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

16. അവര് അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലപിക്കുന്ന വിലാപം ഇതത്രേ; ജാതികളുടെ പുത്രിമാര് ഇതു ചൊല്ലി വിലപിക്കും; അവര് മിസ്രയീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചും അതിലെ സകലപുരുഷന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും ഇതു ചൊല്ലി വിലപിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

16. There is a lamentation, and you shall utter it; and the daughters of the nations shall utter it, [even] for Egypt, and they shall mourn for it over all the strength thereof, says the Lord God.

17. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു, ആ മാസം പതിനഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

17. And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the first month, on the fifteenth [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

18. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ മിസ്രയീമിലെ പുരുഷാരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലപിച്ചു അതിനെയും ശ്രുതിപ്പെട്ട ജാതികളുടെ പുത്രിമാരെയും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടു കൂടെ ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗത്തു തള്ളിയിടുക.

18. Son of man, lament over the strength of Egypt, for the nations shall bring down her daughters dead to the depth of the earth, to them that go down to the pit.

19. സൌന്ദര്യത്തില് നീ ആരെക്കാള് വിശേഷപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കുക.

19. [This translation omits this verse.]

20. വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരുടെ നടുവില് അവര് വീഴും; വാള് നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിനെയും അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരത്തെയും വലിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുവിന് .

20. They shall fall with him in the midst of them [that are] slain with the sword, and all his strength shall perish. The giants also shall say to you,

21. വീരന്മാരില് ബലവാന്മാരായവര് അവന്റെ സഹായക്കാരോടുകൂടെ പാതാളത്തിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു അവനോടു സംസാരിക്കും; അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരയവര് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു അവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു.

21. Go down to the depths of the pit; to whom are you superior? Yea, go down, and lie with the uncircumcised, in the midst of them [that are] slain with the sword.

22. അവിടെ അശ്ശൂരും അതിന്റെ സര്വ്വസമൂഹവും ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ ശവകൂഴികള് അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും കിടക്കുന്നു; അവരെല്ലാവരും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായി വീണവര് തന്നേ.

22. There are Assyria and all his company; all [his] slain have been laid there,

23. അവരുടെ ശവകൂഴികള് പാതാളത്തിന്റെ അങ്ങെയറ്റത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ സമൂഹം അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴിയുടെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു ഭീതി പരത്തിയ അവരെല്ലാവരും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായി വീണിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. and their graves are in the depth of the pit, and his company is set around about his tomb. All the slain that fell by the sword, who had caused the fear of them [to be] upon the land of the living.

24. അവിടെ ഏലാമും അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴിയുടെ ചുറ്റും അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടു; അവര് എല്ലാവരും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായി വീണു അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗത്തു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു അവര് നീതി പരത്തി; എങ്കിലും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ അവര് ലജ്ജ വഹിക്കുന്നു.

24. There is Elam and all his multitude round about his tomb; all the slain that fell by the sword, and the uncircumcised that go down to the deep of the earth, who caused their fear to be upon the land of the living, and they have received their punishment with them that go down to the pit,

25. നിഹതന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അവര് അതിന്നു അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരത്തിന്നും ഒരു കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴികള് അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവരൊക്കെയും അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരാകുന്നു; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു അവര് ഭീതി പരത്തിയിരിക്കയാല് കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ ലജ്ജ വഹിക്കുന്നു; നിഹതന്മാരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അതു കിടക്കുന്നു.

25. in the midst of the slain.

26. അവിടെ മേശെക്കും തൂബലും അതിന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരവും ഉണ്ടു; അതിന്റെ ശവകൂഴികള് അതിന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു ഭീതി പരത്തിയിരിക്കയാല് അവരൊക്കെയും അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു.

26. There were laid Meshech and Tubal, and all his strength round about his tomb. All his slain men, all the uncircumcised, slain with the sword, who caused their fear to be in the land of the living.

27. അവര് ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു വീരന്മാര്ക്കും ഭീതി ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളെ അസ്ഥികളിന്മേല് ചുമന്നും തങ്ങളുടെ വാളുകളെ തലെക്കു കീഴെ വെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളില് പട്ടുപോയ വീരന്മാരായി പടക്കോപ്പോടുകൂടെ പാതാളത്തില് ഇറങ്ങിയവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ?

27. And they are laid with the giants that fell of old, who went down to Hades with [their] weapons of war: and they laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities were upon their bones, because they terrified all men during their life.

28. നീയോ അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് തകര്ന്നുപോകയും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരോടുകൂടെ കിടക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

28. And you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that have been slain by the sword.

29. അവിടെ ഏദോമും അതിന്റെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വല്ലഭത്വത്തില് വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കേണ്ടിവന്നു; അവര് അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളോടും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടും കൂടെ കിടക്കുന്നു.

29. There are laid the princes of Assyria, who yielded their strength to a wound of the sword; these are laid with the slain, with them that go down to the pit.

30. അവിടെ വടക്കെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെല്ലാവരും നിഹതന്മാരോടു കൂടെ ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോയ സകല സീദോന്യരും ഉണ്ടു; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ വല്ലഭത്വത്താല് പരത്തിയ ഭീതിനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിക്കുന്നു; അവര് അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളായി വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരോടുകൂടെു കിടക്കുകയും കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരോടുകൂടെ ലജ്ജ വഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

30. There are the princes of the north, [even] all the captains of Assyria, who go down slain [to the pit]; they lie uncircumcised among the slain with the sword together with their terror and their strength, and they have received their punishment with them that go down to the pit.

31. അവരെ ഫറവോന് കണ്ടു തന്റെ സകലപുരുഷാരത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ആശ്വസിക്കും; ഫറവോനും അവന്റെ സകലസൈന്യവും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

31. King Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all their force, says the Lord God.

32. ഞാനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ഭീതി ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു പരത്തിയതു; ഫറവോനും അവന്റെ പുരുഷാരമൊക്കെയും വാളാല് നിഹതന്മാരായവരോടുകൂടെ അഗ്രചര്മ്മികളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് കിടക്കേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

32. For I have caused his fear to be upon the land of the living, yet he shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, [even] Pharaoh, and all his multitude with him, says the Lord God.
