1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. And Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,

2. നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങള് ഇവ

2. Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, These are the living things which you+ may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

3. മൃഗങ്ങളില് കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതും അയവിറക്കുന്നതുമായതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

3. Whatever parts the hoof, and is clovenfooted, [and] chews the cud, among the beasts, that may you+ eat.

4. എന്നാല് അയവിറക്കുന്നവയിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നവയിലും നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതാത്തവ ഇവഒട്ടകം; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

4. Nevertheless these you+ will not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those that part the hoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but doesn't part the hoof, he is unclean to you+.

5. കുഴിമുയല്; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

5. And the coney, because he chews the cud but doesn't part the hoof, he is unclean to you+.

6. മുയല്; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

6. And the hare, because she chews the cud but doesn't part the hoof, she is unclean to you+.

7. പന്നി കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതായി കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ എങ്കിലും അയവിറക്കുന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

7. And the swine, because he parts the hoof, and is clovenfooted, but doesn't chew the cud, he is unclean to you+.

8. ഇവയുടെ മാംസം നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു; പിണം തൊടുകയും അരുതു; ഇവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

8. Of their flesh you+ will not eat, and their carcasses you+ will not touch; they are unclean to you+.

9. വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിലുംവെച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്നവ ഇവകടലുകളിലും നദികളിലും ഉള്ള വെള്ളത്തില് ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഉള്ളവ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

9. These you+ may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you+ may eat.

10. എന്നാല് കടലുകളിലും നദികളിലും ള്ളള വെള്ളത്തില് ചലനംചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള സകലജന്തുക്കളിലും ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലുമില്ലാത്തതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

10. And all that don't have fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are detestable to you+,

11. അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായി തന്നേ ഇരിക്കേണം. അവയുടെ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു; അവയുടെ പിണം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

11. and they will be detestable to you+; you+ will not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses you+ will detest.

12. ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഇല്ലാതെ വെള്ളത്തില് ഉള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പു ആയിരിക്കേണം.

12. Whatever doesn't have fins and scales in the waters, that is detestable to you+.

13. പക്ഷികളില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവ ഇവഅവയെ തിന്നരുതു; അവ അറെപ്പു ആകുന്നുകഴുകന് , ചെമ്പരുന്തു,

13. And these you+ will detest among the birds; they will not be eaten, they are detestable: the eagle, and the gier-eagle, and the osprey,

14. കടല്റാഞ്ചന് , ഗൃദ്ധം, അതതു വിധം പരുന്തു,

14. and the kite, and the falcon after its kind,

15. അതതു വിധം കാക്ക, ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷി,

15. every raven after its kind,

16. പുള്ളു, കടല്കാക്ക, അതതു വിധം പ്രാപ്പിടിയന് ,

16. and the ostrich, and the nighthawk, and the seamew, and the hawk after its kind,

17. നത്തു, നീര്ക്കാക്ക, ക്കുമന് , മൂങ്ങ,

17. and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

18. വേഴാമ്പല്, കുടുമ്മച്ചാത്തന് , പെരിഞാറ,

18. and the horned owl, and the pelican, and the vulture,

19. അതതതു വിധം കൊകൂ, കുളക്കോഴി, നരിച്ചീര് എന്നിവയും

19. and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

20. ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില് നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

20. All winged creeping things that go on all fours are detestable to you+.

21. എങ്കിലും ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില് നാലുകാല് കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിലത്തു കുതിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാലിന്മേല് തുട ഉള്ളവയെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

21. Yet these you+ may eat of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have legs above their feet, with which to leap on the earth.

22. ഇവയില് അതതു വിധം വെട്ടുക്കിളി, അതതു വിധം വിട്ടില്, അതതു വിധം ചീവീടു, അതതു വിധം തുള്ളന് എന്നിവയെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.

22. Even these of those you+ may eat: the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the cricket after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind.

23. ചിറകും നാലുകാലുമുള്ള ശേഷം ഇഴജാതി ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.

23. But all winged creeping things, which have four feet, are detestable to you+.

24. അവയാല് നിങ്ങള് അശുദ്ധരാകുംഅവയുടെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

24. And by these you+ will become unclean: whoever touches their carcass will be unclean until the evening;

25. അവയുടെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം.
എബ്രായർ 9:10

25. And whoever bears [anything] of their carcass will wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.

26. കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതെങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിയാതെയും അയവിറക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്ന സകലമൃഗവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയെ തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

26. Every beast which parts the hoof, if it is either not clovenfooted, or does not chew the cud, is unclean to you+: everyone who touches them will be unclean.

27. നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്ന സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിലും ഉള്ളങ്കാല് പതിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയുടെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

27. And whatever goes on its paws, among all beasts that go on all fours, they are unclean to you+: whoever touches their carcass will be unclean until the evening.

28. അവയുടെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവന് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.

28. And he who bears the carcass of them will wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening: they are unclean to you+.

29. നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയില്നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധമായവ ഇവ

29. And these are unclean to you+ among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the weasel, and the mouse, and the great lizard after its kind,

30. പെരിച്ചാഴി, എലി, അതതു വിധം ഉടുമ്പു, അളുങ്കു, ഔന്തു, പല്ലി, അരണ, തുരവന് .

30. and the gecko, and the land-crocodile, and the lizard, and the sand-lizard, and the chameleon.

31. എല്ലാ ഇഴജാതിയിലുംവെച്ചു ഇവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവ ചത്തശേഷം അവയെ തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

31. These are unclean to you+ among all that creep: whoever touches them when they are dead, will be unclean until the evening.

32. ചത്തശേഷം അവയില് ഒന്നു ഏതിന്മേല് എങ്കിലും വീണാല് അതൊക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകും; അതു മരപ്പാത്രമോ വസ്ത്രമോ തോലോ ചാകൂശീലയോ വേലെക്കു ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പാത്രമോ എന്തായാലും വെള്ളത്തില് ഇടേണം; അതു സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ ശുദ്ധമാകും.

32. And whatever any of them falls on when they are dead, it will be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, with which any work is done, it must be put into water, and it will be unclean until the evening; then it will be clean.

33. അവയില് യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തിന്നകത്തു വീണാല് അതിന്നകത്തുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകും; നിങ്ങള് അതു ഉടെച്ചുകളയേണം.

33. And every earthen vessel, into which any of them falls, whatever is in it will be unclean, and it you+ will break.

34. തിന്നുന്ന വല്ല സാധനത്തിന്മേലും ആ വെള്ളം വീണാല് അതു അശുദ്ധമാകും; കുടിക്കുന്ന വല്ല പാനീയവും ആ വക പാത്രത്തില് ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു അശുദ്ധമാകും;

34. All food [in it] which may be eaten, that on which water comes, will be unclean; and all drink that may be drank in every [such] vessel will be unclean.

35. അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം വല്ലതിന്മേലും വീണാല് അതു ഒക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകുംഅടുപ്പോ തീച്ചട്ടിയോ ഇങ്ങനെ എന്തായാലും അതു തകര്ത്തുകളയേണം; അവ അശുദ്ധം ആകുന്നു; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

35. And every thing on which [any part] of their carcass falls will be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it will be broken in pieces: they are unclean, and will be unclean to you+.

36. എന്നാല് നീരുറവും വെള്ളമുള്ള കിണറും ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും; പിണം തൊടുന്നവനോ അശുദ്ധനാകും.

36. Nevertheless a fountain or a pit in which is a gathering of water will be clean: but that which touches their carcass will be unclean.

37. വിതെക്കുന്ന വിത്തായ വല്ല ധാന്യത്തിന്മേലും അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം വീണാലും അതു ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും.

37. And if [anything] of their carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.

38. എന്നാല് വിത്തില് വെള്ളം ഒഴിച്ചിട്ടു അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം അതിന്മേല് വീണാല് അതു അശുദ്ധം.

38. But if water is put on the seed, and [anything] of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you+.

39. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന ഒരു മൃഗം ചത്താല് അതിന്റെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവന് സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

39. And if any beast, of which you+ may eat, dies; he who touches its carcass will be unclean until the evening.

40. അതിന്റെ പിണം തിന്നുന്നവന് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവനും വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം.

40. And he who eats of the carcass of it will wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening: he also that bears the carcass of it will wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.

41. നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയെല്ലാം അറെപ്പാകുന്നു; അതിനെ തിന്നരുതു.

41. And every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is detestable; it will not be eaten.

42. ഉരസ്സുകൊണ്ടു ചരിക്കുന്നതും നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നതും അല്ലെങ്കില് അനേകം കാലുള്ളതായി നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്നതുമായ യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയെയും നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു; അവ അറെപ്പാകുന്നു.

42. Whatever goes on the belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all creeping things that creep on the earth, you+ will not eat them; for they are detestable.

43. യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയെക്കൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ അറെപ്പാക്കരുതു; അവയാല് നിങ്ങള് മലിനപ്പെടുമാറു നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുകയും അരുതു.

43. You+ will not make yourselves detestable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither will you+ make yourselves unclean with them, that you+ should be defiled by them.

44. ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധനാകയാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; ഭൂമിയില് ഇഴയുന്ന യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയാലും നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.
1 പത്രൊസ് 1:16

44. For I am Yahweh your+ God: sanctify yourselves therefore, and be+ holy; for I am holy: neither will you+ defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that moves on the earth.

45. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധനാകയാല് നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം.

45. For I am Yahweh who brought you+ up out of the land of Egypt, to be your+ God: you+ will therefore be holy, for I am holy.

46. ശുദ്ധവും അശുദ്ധവും തമ്മിലും തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗത്തെയും തിന്നരുതാത്ത മൃഗത്തെയും തമ്മിലും

46. This is the law of the beast, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth;

47. വകതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു മൃഗങ്ങളെയും പക്ഷികളെയും വെള്ളത്തില് ചലനം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകല ജന്തുക്കളെയും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ജന്തുക്കളെയും പറ്റിയുള്ള പ്രമാണം ആകുന്നു.

47. to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.
