1. പ്രവാചകം. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഹദ്രാക് ദേശത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ദമ്മേശെക്കിന്മേല് അതു വന്നമരും; യഹോവ, മനുഷ്യരിലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകല ഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.

1. The oracle of the word of Yahweh on the land of Hadrach, and, Damascus, shall be the resting-place thereof, For, Yahweh, hath an eye to mankind, and to all the tribes of Israel;

2. അതിനോടു തൊട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഹമാത്തിന്നും ജ്ഞാനം ഏറിയ സോരിന്നും സീദോന്നും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

2. Moreover also, Hamath, adjoineth thereto, Tyre and Zidon, because very wise;

3. സോര് തനിക്കു ഒരു കോട്ട പണിതു, പൊടിപോലെ വെള്ളിയും വീഥികളിലെ ചെളിപോലെ തങ്കവും സ്വരൂപിച്ചു.

3. Therefore did Tyre build a stronghold for herself, and did heap up silver like dust, yea gold, like the mire of the lanes.

4. എന്നാല് കര്ത്താവു അവളെ ഇറക്കി, അവളുടെ കൊത്തളം കടലില് ഇട്ടുകളയും; അവള് തീക്കു ഇരയായ്തീരുകയും ചെയ്യും.

4. Lo! My Lord, shall dispossess her, and smite, into the sea, her fortress, and, she herself, in fire, shall be consumed.

5. അസ്കലോന് അതു കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെടും; ഗസ്സയും എക്രോനും കണ്ടു ഏറ്റവും വിറെക്കും; അവളുടെ പ്രത്യാശെക്കു ഭംഗം വരുമല്ലോ; ഗസ്സയില്നിന്നു രാജാവു നശിച്ചുപോകും; അസ്കലോന്നു നിവാസികള് ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.

5. Ashkelon, shall see, and fear, Gaza, also, which shall writhe in great anguish, Ekron, also, because abashed is her expectation, and the king, shall perish, from Gaza, and, Ashkelon, not be inhabited;

6. അസ്തോദില് ഒരു കൌലടേയജാതി പാര്ക്കും; ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ ഗര്വ്വം ഞാന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

6. And there shall be seated a half-breed in Ashdod, So will I cut off the arrogance of the Philistines;

7. ഞാന് അവന്റെ രക്തം അവന്റെ വായില്നിന്നും അവന്റെ വെറുപ്പുകള് അവന്റെ പല്ലിന്നിടയില്നിന്നും നീക്കിക്കളയും; എന്നാല് അവനും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പായ്തീരും; അവന് യെഹൂദയില് ഒരു മേധാവിയെപ്പോലെയും എക്രോന് ഒരു യെബൂസ്യനെപ്പോലെയും ആകും.

7. And will take away his reeking prey out of his mouth, and his abominations, from between his teeth, but, he that is left, even he, shall belong to our God, So shall he become as a chief in Judah, and, Ekron, as a Jebusite!

8. ആരും പോക്കുവരുത്തു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഒരു പട്ടാളമായി എന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്നു ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങും; ഇനി ഒരു പീഡകനും അവരുടെ ഇടയില്കൂടി കടക്കയില്ല; ഇപ്പോള് ഞാന് സ്വന്തകണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കണ്ടുവല്ലോ.

8. Then will I encamp about my house against an army, against him that passeth by, and against him that returneth, neither shall an exactor, tread them down any more, for, now, have I seen with mine own eyes.

9. സീയോന് പുത്രിയേ, ഉച്ചത്തില് ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്ക; യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിയേ, ആര്പ്പിടുക! ഇതാ, നിന്റെ രാജാവു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നു; അവന് നീതിമാനും ജയശാലിയും താഴ്മയുള്ളവനും ആയി കഴുതപ്പുറത്തും പെണ്കഴുതയുടെ കുട്ടിയായ ചെറുകഴുതപ്പുറത്തും കയറിവരുന്നു.

9. Exult greatly, O daughter of Zion, Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem, Lo! thy king, cometh unto thee, vindicated and victorious, is he, lowly, and riding upon an ass, yea, upon a colt, a young ass.

10. So will he cut off the chariot out of Ephraim, and the horse out of Jerusalem, and the war-bow, shall be cut off, So shall he speak peace to the nations, and, his dominion, shall be from sea to sea, and from the river Euphrates to the ends of the earth.

11. As for thee also, By the blood of thy covenant, have I sent forth thy prisoners out of a pit, wherein is no water.

12. പ്രത്യാശയുള്ള ബദ്ധന്മാരേ, കോട്ടയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരുവിന് ; ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഇരട്ടിയായി പകരം നലകും എന്നു ഞാന് ഇന്നു തന്നേ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.

12. Return to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope, Even to-day, do I declare Double, will I return to thee!

13. ഞാന് എനിക്കു യെഹൂദയെ വില്ലായി കുലെച്ചും എഫ്രയീമിനെ നിറെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു; സീയോനേ, ഞാന് നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ യവനദേശമേ, നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ നേരെ ഉണര്ത്തി നിന്നെ ഒരു വീരന്റെ വാള് പോലെയാക്കും.

13. For I have bent for me Judah, As a bow, have I grasped Ephraim, Thus will I rouse up thy sons, O Zion, against the sons of Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty one.

14. യഹോവ അവര്ക്കും മീതെ പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകും; അവന്റെ അസ്ത്രം മിന്നല് പോലെ പുറപ്പെടും; യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു കാഹളം ഊതി തെക്കന് ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുകളില് വരും.

14. But, Yahweh, over them, will appear, and forth shall go, as lightning, his arrow, Yea, My Lord Yahweh, with a horn, will blow, and will move along in the whirlwinds of the south.

15. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവരെ പരിചകൊണ്ടു മറെക്കും; അവര് മാംസം തിന്നു കവിണക്കല്ലു ചവിട്ടിക്കളകയും രക്തം കുടിച്ചു വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ ഘോഷിക്കയും യാഗകലശങ്ങള്പോലെയും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ കോണുകള്പോലെയും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

15. Yahweh of hosts, will throw a covering over them, so shall they eat, and trample underfoot sling-stones, and shall drink shall shout as with wine, and shall be filled like tossing-bowls, like the corners of an altar.

16. അന്നാളില് അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ തന്റെ ജനമായ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെപ്പോലെ രക്ഷിക്കും; അവര് അവന്റെ ദേശത്തു ഒരു കിരീടത്തിന്റെ രത്നംപോലെ പൊങ്ങി ശോഭിക്കും.

16. So will Yahweh their God, save them, on that day. yea, as a flock of sheep, his people, for they shall be like the jewels of a diadem sparkling over his land.

17. അതിന്നു എത്ര ശ്രീത്വവും അതിന്നു എത്ര സൌന്ദര്യവും ഉണ്ടു; ധാന്യം യുവാക്കളെയും വീഞ്ഞു യുവതികളെയും പുഷ്ടീകരിക്കുന്നു.

17. For how excellent it is! Yea how beautiful! Corn, shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens.
