1. ഇപ്പോഴോ പുരോഹിതന്മാരേ, ഈ ആജ്ഞ നിങ്ങളോടു ആകുന്നു.

1. And now O ye priestes this comaundement is for you.

2. നിങ്ങള് കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയും എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം മനസ്സുവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാഞ്ഞാല് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് ശാപം അയച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും ശപിക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതേ, നിങ്ങള് മനസ്സു വെക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവയെ ശപിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. If ye wyl not heare it nor regard it, to geue the glory to my name, saith the Lorde of hoastes, I wyll sende a curse vpon you, and wyll curse your blessinges, yea I haue cursed them alredie, because ye do not consider it in your heart.

3. ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള സന്തതിയെ ഭര്ത്സിക്കയും ചാണകം, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലെ ചാണകം തന്നേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മുഖത്തു വിതറുകയും അവര് നിങ്ങളെ അതിനോടുകൂടെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും.

3. Beholde, I wyll corrupt your seede, and cast doung on your faces, [euen] the doung of your solempne feastes, & you shalbe like vnto it.

4. ലേവിയോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം നിലനില്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് ഈ ആജ്ഞ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. And you shall know that I haue sent this comaundement vnto you, that my couenaunt which I haue made with Leui might stand, saith the Lorde of hoastes.

5. അവനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ജീവനും സമാധാനവുമായിരുന്നു; അവന് ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അവന്നു അവയെ കൊടുത്തു; അവന് എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു എന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം വിറെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

5. My couenaunt was with him, of lyfe and peace, and I gaue them him [for] the feare wherwith he feared me and was afrayde before my name.

6. നേരുള്ള ഉപദേശം അവന്റെ വായില് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; നീതികേടു അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങളില് കണ്ടതുമില്ല; സമാധാനമായും പരമാര്ത്ഥമായും അവന് എന്നോടുകൂടെ നടന്നു പലരെയും അകൃത്യം വിട്ടുതിരിയുമാറാക്കി;

6. The lawe of trueth was in his mouth, and there was no iniquitie found in his lippes, he walked with me in peace and in equitie, and he turned many from their iniquitie.

7. പുരോഹിതന് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതനാകയാല് അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങള് പരിജ്ഞാനം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കേണ്ടതും ഉപദേശം അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു പഠിക്കേണ്ടതും അല്ലോ.

7. For the priestes lippes shall kepe knowledge, and they shall seeke the lawe at his mouth: because he is the messenger of the Lorde of hoastes.

8. നിങ്ങളോ വഴി വിട്ടുമാറി പലരെയും ഉപദേശത്താല് ഇടറുമാറാക്കി ലേവിയുടെ നിയമം നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
മത്തായി 23:3

8. But ye haue gone out of the way, ye haue caused many to fall by the lawe: ye haue corrupted the couenaunt of Leui, saith the Lorde of hoastes.

9. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ വഴികളെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ ന്യായപാലനത്തില് പക്ഷഭേദം കാണിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും നിന്ദിതരും നീചരുമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Therefore haue I also made you despised and vyle before all the people, because you kept not my wayes, but haue ben parciall in the lawe.

10. നമുക്കെല്ലാവര്ക്കും ഒരു പിതാവല്ലോ ഉള്ളതു; ഒരു ദൈവം തന്നേയല്ലോ നമ്മെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതു; നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ നിയമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നാം അന്യോന്യം ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തിന്നു?
1 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 8:6

10. Haue we not all one father? hath not God made vs al? why then is euery one deceaued of his brother, to violate the couenaunt of our fathers?

11. യെഹൂദാ ദ്രോഹംചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും മ്ളേച്ഛത സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവേക്കു ഇഷ്ടമായുള്ള അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ യെഹൂദാ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി ഒരു അന്യദേവന്റെ മകളെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. Iuda hath offended, & abhomination is committed in Israel and in Hierusalem? for Iuda hath defiled the holynesse of the Lorde which he loued, and hath maried the daughter of a straunge God.

12. അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നു യഹോവ ചോദിക്കുന്നവനെയും ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നവനെയും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേക്കു വഴിപാടു അര്പ്പിക്കുന്നവനെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെ കൂടാരങ്ങളില് നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

12. The Lorde wyll destroy the man that doth this, both the rayser vp and the aunswerer out of the tabernacle of Iacob, and him that offereth an offering vnto the Lorde of hoastes.

13. രണ്ടാമതു നിങ്ങള് ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നുയഹോവ ഇനി വഴിപാടു കടാക്ഷിക്കയോ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ളതു കൈക്കൊള്കയോ ചെയ്യാതവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള് അവന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തെ കണ്ണുനീര്കൊണ്ടും കരച്ചല്കൊണ്ടും ഞരക്കംകൊണ്ടും മൂടിക്കളയുന്നു.

13. And this againe haue ye done, in couering the aulter of the Lorde with teares, with weeping and mourning, and therfore there is no more respect to the offring, neither acceptable receauing of it at your handes.

14. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള് അതു എന്തുകൊണ്ടു എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നു. യഹോവ നിനക്കും നീ അവിശ്വസ്തത കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ യൌവനത്തിലെ ഭാര്യെക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ സാക്ഷിയായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ; അവള് നിന്റെ കൂട്ടാളിയും നിന്റെ ധര്മ്മപത്നിയുമല്ലോ.

14. Yet ye say, wherin? Because the Lord hath ben witnesse betweene thee and thy wyfe of thy youth, against whom thou hast transgressed, yet is she thyne owne companion, and the wyfe of thy couenaunt.

15. ലേശംപോലും സുബോധം ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരുത്തന് ഒരിക്കലും അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല. എന്നാല് ആ ഒരുത്തന് എന്തു ചെയ്തു? ദൈവം വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്ത സന്തതിയെ അവന് അന്വേഷിച്ചു. നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളില് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് ; തന്റെ യൌവനത്തിലെ ഭാര്യയോടു ആരും അവിശ്വസ്തത കാണിക്കരുതു.

15. And did not he make one? yet had he aboundaunce of spiritie: And wherfore one? Because he sought a godly seede: therefore kepe your selues in your spirite, and let none transgresse against the wyfe of his youth.

16. ഞാന് ഉപേക്ഷണം വെറുക്കുന്നു എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഅതു ചെയ്യുന്നവന് തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം സാഹസംകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. ആകയാല് നിങ്ങള് അവിശ്വസ്തത കാണിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളില് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് .

16. If thou hatest her, put her away, saith the lorde God of Israel: yet he couereth the iniurie vnder his garment, saith the Lorde of hoastes, and be ye kept in your spirite, and transgresse not.

17. നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കുകളാല് യഹോവയെ മുഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ഏതിനാല് ഞങ്ങള് അവനെ മുഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നു. ദോഷം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും യഹോവേക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളവന് ആകുന്നു; അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരില് അവന് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു; അല്ലെങ്കില് ന്യായവിധിയുടെ ദൈവം എവിടെ? എന്നിങ്ങിനെ നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നതിനാല് തന്നേ.

17. Ye haue weeryed the Lord with your wordes, and you haue sayde, Wherein haue we weeried him? Whylest you say, Euery one that doth euil, is good in the sight of the Lorde, and he is pleased in them: or where is the God of iudgement?
