1. അന്നു യേശു വീട്ടില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു കടലരികെ ഇരുന്നു.

1. The same day, went Iesus out of the house, & sate by the sea syde.

2. വളരെ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുകൂടുകകൊണ്ടു അവന് പടകില് കയറി ഇരുന്നു; പുരുഷാരം എല്ലാം കരയില് ഇരുന്നു.

2. And great multitudes were gathered together vnto hym, so greatly that he went and sate in a shippe, and the whole multitude stoode on the shore.

3. അവന് അവരോടു പലതും ഉപമകളായി പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതെന്തന്നാല്“വിതെക്കുന്നവന് വിതെപ്പാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

3. And he spake many thynges to them in parables, saying: Beholde, the sower went foorth to sowe.

4. വിതെക്കുമ്പോള് ചിലതു വഴിയരികെ വിണു; പറവകള് വന്നു അതു തിന്നു കളഞ്ഞു.

4. And when he sowed, some seedes fell by the wayes side, and the fowles came, and deuoured them vp.

5. ചിലതു പാറസ്ഥലത്തു ഏറെ മണ്ണില്ലാത്ത ഇടത്തു വീണു; മണ്ണിന്നു താഴ്ചയില്ലായ്കയാല് ക്ഷണത്തില് മുളെച്ചുവന്നു.

5. Some fell vpon stony places, where they had not much earth, and anone they sprong vp, because they had no depenesse of earth.

6. സൂര്യന് ഉദിച്ചാറെ ചൂടുതട്ടി, വേര് ഇല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

6. And when the sonne was vp, they caught heate, and because they had not roote, they wythered away.

7. മറ്റു ചിലതു മുള്ളിന്നിടയില് വീണു; മുള്ളു മുളെച്ചു വളര്ന്നു അതിനെ ഞെരുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

7. Agayne, some fell among thornes, and the thornes sprong vp and choked them.

8. മറ്റു ചിലതു നല്ല നിലത്തു വീണു, നൂറും അറുപതും മുപ്പതും മേനിയായി വിളഞ്ഞു.

8. But some fell into good grounde, and brought foorth fruite, some an hundred folde, some sixtie folde, some thirtie folde.

9. ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.”

9. Who hath eares to heare, let hym heare.

10. പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അടുക്കെ വന്നുഅവരോടു ഉപമകളായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

10. And the disciples came, and sayde vnto hym: Why speakest thou to them by parables?

11. അവന് അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ മര്മ്മങ്ങളെ അറിവാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര്ക്കോ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

11. He aunswered and sayde vnto them: because it is geuen vnto you, to knowe the secretes of the kyngdome of heauen, but to them, it is not geuen.

12. ഉള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കും; അവന്നു സമൃദ്ധിയുണ്ടാകും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടോ അവന്നുള്ളതും കൂടെ എടുത്തുകളയും.

12. For whosoeuer hath, to hym shalbe geuen, and he shall haue more aboundaunce: But whosoeuer hath not, from hym shalbe taken away, euen that he hath.

13. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് കണ്ടിട്ടു കാണാതെയും കേട്ടിട്ടു കേള്ക്കാതെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കയാല് ഞാന് ഉപമകളായി അവരോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

13. Therfore speake I to them in parables: because they seeyng, see not: and hearyng, they heare not: neither do they vnderstande.

14. നിങ്ങള് ചെവിയാല് കേള്ക്കും ഗ്രഹിക്കയില്ലതാനും; കണ്ണാല് കാണും ദര്ശിക്കയില്ലതാനും; ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയം തടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ചെവികൊണ്ടു മന്ദമായി കേള്ക്കുന്നു; കണ്ണു അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് കണ്ണു കാണാതെയും ചെവി കേള്ക്കാതെയും ഹൃദയം കൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാതെയും ഞാന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ
യെശയ്യാ 6:9-10

14. And in them is fulfylled the prophesie of Esaias, saying: by hearyng ye shall heare, and shall not vnderstande, and seeyng, ye shall see, & shall not perceaue.

15. എന്നു യെശയ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞ പ്രവാചകത്തിന്നു അവരില് നിവൃത്തിവരുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 6:9-10

15. For this peoples heart is waxed grosse, and their eares are dull of hearyng, and their eyes haue they closed: lest at any tyme they shoulde see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and shoulde vnderstande with their heart, & shoulde conuert, that I myght heale them.

16. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളുടെ ചെവി കേള്ക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും ഭാഗ്യമുള്ളവ.

16. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your eares, for they heare.

17. ഏറിയ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും നീതിമാന്മാരും നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്നതു കാണ്മാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു കണ്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള് കേള്ക്കുന്നതു കേള്പ്പാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടും കേട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

17. Ueryly I say vnto you, that many prophetes and ryghteous men haue desired to see those thynges which ye see, and haue not seene: and to heare those thynges which ye heare, and haue not hearde.

18. എന്നാല് വിതെക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഉപമ കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് .

18. Heare ye therfore the similitude of the sower.

19. ഒരുത്തന് രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കാഞ്ഞാല് ദുഷ്ടന് വന്നു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നു; ഇതത്രെ വഴിയരികെ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതു.

19. When one heareth the worde of the kyngdome, and vnderstandeth it not, then commeth that euyll, and catcheth away that which was sowen in his heart: this is he, which receaued seede by the way syde.

20. പാറസ്ഥലത്തു വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ, ഒരുത്തന് വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ഉടനെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൈകൊള്ളുന്നതു ആകുന്നു എങ്കിലും വേരില്ലാതിരിക്കയാല് അവന് ക്ഷണികനത്രേ.

20. But he that receaued the seede into stony places, the same is he that heareth the worde, and anone with ioy, receaueth it:

21. വചനംനിമിത്തം ഞെരുക്കമോ ഉപദ്രവമോ നേരിട്ടാല് അവന് ക്ഷണത്തില് ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു.

21. Yet hath he not roote in hym selfe, but dureth for a season: for when tribulation or persecution aryseth because of the worde, by and by he is offended.

22. മുള്ളിന്നിടയില് വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ, ഒരുത്തന് വചനം കേള്ക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ചിന്തയും ധനത്തിന്റെ വഞ്ചനയും വചനത്തെ ഞെരുക്കീട്ടു നിഷ്ഫലനായി തീരുന്നതാകുന്നു.

22. He also that receaued seede into the thornes, is he that heareth the worde: and the care of this worlde, and the disceiptfulnes of ryches, choke vp the worde, and so is he made vnfruitfull.

23. നല്ല നിലത്തു വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ ഒരുത്തന് വചനം കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു ആകുന്നു അതു വിളഞ്ഞു നൂറും അറുപതും മുപ്പതും മേനി നലകുന്നു.”

23. But he that receaued seede into the good grounde, is he that heareth the worde, and vnderstandeth it, which also beareth fruite: and bryngeth foorth, some an hundred folde, some sixtie folde, some thirtie folde.

24. അവന് മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവര്ക്കും പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ നിലത്തു നല്ല വിത്തു വിതെച്ചതിനോടു സദൃശമാകുന്നു.

24. Another parable put he foorth vnto them, saying: The kyngdome of heauen is likened vnto a man, which sowed good seede in his fielde.

25. മനുഷ്യര് ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോള് അവന്റെ ശത്രു വന്നു, കോതമ്പിന്റെ ഇടയില് കള വിതെച്ചു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

25. But whyle men slept, his enemye came & sowed tares among the wheate, and went his way.

26. ഞാറു വളര്ന്നു കതിരായപ്പോള് കളയും കാണായ്വന്നു.

26. But when the blade was sprong vp, and had brought foorth fruite, then appeared the tares also.

27. അപ്പോള് വീട്ടുടയവന്റെ ദാസന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുയജമാനനേ, വയലില് നല്ലവിത്തല്ലയോ വിതെച്ചതു? പിന്നെ കള എവിടെനിന്നു വന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

27. So, the seruauntes of the housholder came, and sayde vnto hym. Sir, diddest not thou sowe good seede in thy fielde? from whence then hath it tares?

28. ഇതു ശത്രു ചെയ്തതാകുന്നു എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞങ്ങള് പോയി അതു പറിച്ചുകൂട്ടുവാന് സമ്മതമുണ്ടോ എന്നു ദാസന്മാര് അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. He sayde vnto them: the malicious man hath done this. The seruauntes sayde vnto hym: wylt thou then that we go, and gather them vp?

29. അതിന്നു അവന് ഇല്ല, പക്ഷേ കള പറിക്കുമ്പോള് കോതമ്പും കൂടെ പിഴുതുപോകും.

29. But he sayde, nay: lest whyle ye gather vp the tares, ye rote vp also the wheate with them.

30. രണ്ടുംകൂടെ കൊയ്ത്തോളം വളരട്ടെ; കൊയ്ത്തു കാലത്തു ഞാന് കൊയ്യുന്നവരോടു മുമ്പെ കളപറിച്ചു കൂട്ടി ചുട്ടുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു കെട്ടുകളായി കെട്ടുവാനും കോതമ്പു എന്റെ കളപ്പുരയില് കൂട്ടിവെപ്പാനും കല്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

30. Let both growe together vntyll the haruest: & in tyme of haruest, I wyl say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tares, and bynde them in bundels to burne them: but carrie the wheate into my barne.

31. മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവന് അവര്ക്കും പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം കടുകുമണിയോടു സദൃശം; അതു ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് എടുത്തു തന്റെ വയലില് ഇട്ടു.

31. Another parable put he foorth vnto them, saying. The kyngdome of heauen is like to a grayne of mustard seede, which a man toke & sowed in his fielde.

32. അതു എല്ലാവിത്തിലും ചെറിയതെങ്കിലും വളര്ന്നു സസ്യങ്ങളില് ഏറ്റവും വലുതായി, ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകള് വന്നു അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളില് വസിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം വൃക്ഷമായി തീരുന്നു.”

32. Which in dede is the least of all seedes: But when it is growen, it is the greatest among hearbes: and is a tree, so that the byrdes of the ayre come & make their nestes in the braunches therof.

33. അവന് മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം പുളിച്ച മാവിനോടു സദൃശം; അതു ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എടുത്തു മൂന്നുപറ മാവില് എല്ലാം പുളിച്ചുവരുവോളം അടക്കിവെച്ചു.”

33. Another parable spake he vnto them: The kyngdome of heauen is lyke vnto leuen, which a woman taketh & hydeth in three peckes of meale, tyll all be leuened.

34. ഇതു ഒക്കെയും യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോടു ഉപമകളായി പറഞ്ഞു; ഉപമ കൂടാതെ അവരോടു ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല

34. All these thynges spake Iesus vnto the people in parables: and without a parable spake he not vnto them.

35. “ഞാന് ഉപമ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് വായ്തുറക്കും; ലോകസ്ഥാപനം മുതല് ഗൂഢമായതു ഉച്ചരിക്കും” എന്നു പ്രവാചകന് പറഞ്ഞതു നിവൃത്തിയാകുവാന് സംഗതിവന്നു.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 78:2

35. That it myght be fulfylled, which was spoken by the prophete, that sayth: I wyll open my mouth in parables, I wyll speake foorth thynges which haue ben kept secrete from the foundation of the worlde.

36. അനന്തരം യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു വീട്ടില് വന്നു, ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുവയലിലെ കളയുടെ ഉപമ തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

36. Then Iesus sent the people away, & went into the house: And his disciples came vnto hym, saying: Declare vnto vs the parable of the tares of the fielde.

37. “നല്ല വിത്തു വിതെക്കുന്നവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ;

37. He aunswered and sayde vnto them: He that soweth the good seede, is the sonne of man.

38. വയല് ലോകം; നല്ലവിത്തു രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്;

38. The fielde, is the worlde: & the good seede, they are the childre of ye kingdom: the tares, are the chyldren of ye wicked.

39. കള ദുഷ്ടന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്; അതു വിതെച്ച ശത്രു പിശാചു; കൊയ്ത്തു ലോകാവസാനം;

39. The enemie that soweth them, is the deuyll: the haruest, is the ende of the worlde: the reapers, be the Angels.

40. കൊയ്യുന്നവര് ദൂതന്മാര് കള കൂട്ടി തീയില് ഇട്ടു ചുടുംപോലെ ലോകാവസാനത്തില് സംഭവിക്കും.

40. Euen as the tares therfore, are gathered and brent in the fyre: so shall it be in the ende of this worlde.

41. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയക്കും; അവര് അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില്നിന്നു എല്ലാ ഇടര്ച്ചകളെയും അധര്മ്മം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തു
സെഫന്യാവു 1:3

41. The sonne of man shall sende foorth his Angels, and [they] shall gather out of his kyngdome, all thynges that offende, and them which do iniquitie:

42. തീച്ചൂളയില് ഇട്ടുകളയുകയും, അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.
ദാനീയേൽ 3:6

42. And shall cast them into a furnesse of fyre: There shalbe waylyng and gnasshyng of teeth.

43. അന്നു നീതിമാന്മാര് തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില് സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കും. ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.
ദാനീയേൽ 12:3

43. Then shall the ryghteous shine as the Sunne, in the kingdome of their father. Who hath eares to heare, let hym heare.

44. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം വയലില് ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ച നിധിയോടു സദൃശം. അതു ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് കണ്ടു മറെച്ചിട്ടു, തന്റെ സന്തോഷത്താല് ചെന്നു തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ആ വയല് വാങ്ങി.

44. Agayne, the kyngdome of heauen is lyke vnto treasure hyd in the fielde: the which a man hath founde, and hyd, and for ioy therof, goeth and selleth all that he hath, and byeth the fielde.

45. പിന്നെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം നല്ല മുത്തു അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വ്യാപാരിയോടു സദൃശം.

45. Agayne, the kyngdome of heauen is lyke vnto a marchaunt man, seekyng goodly pearles.

46. അവന് വിലയേറിയ ഒരു മുത്തു കണ്ടെത്തിയാറെ ചെന്നു തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു അതു വാങ്ങി.

46. Which, when he founde one precious pearle, went and solde all that he had, and bought it.

47. പിന്നെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം കടലില് ഇടുന്നതും എല്ലാവക മീനും പിടിക്കുന്നതുമായോരു വലയോടു സദൃശം.

47. Agayne, the kyngdome of heauen is lyke vnto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of all kynde:

48. നിറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് അവര് അതു വലിച്ചു കരെക്കു കയറ്റി, ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ടു നല്ലതു പാത്രങ്ങളില് കൂട്ടിവെച്ചു, ചീത്ത എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.

48. Which when it was full, men drewe to lande, and sat downe, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ലോകാവസാനത്തില് സംഭവിക്കും; ദൂതന്മാര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ വേര്തിരിച്ചു തീച്ചൂളയില് ഇട്ടുകളയും;

49. So shall it be at the ende of the world: The Angels shall come foorth, and seuer the bad from among the iuste:

50. അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.
ദാനീയേൽ 3:6

50. And shall cast them into a furnesse of fyre: there shalbe waylyng and gnasshyng of teeth.

51. ഇതെല്ലാം ഗ്രഹിച്ചുവോ?” എന്നതിന്നു അവര് ഉവ്വു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

51. Iesus sayth vnto them: haue ye vnderstande all these thynges? They say vnto hym: yea Lorde.

52. അവന് അവരോടുഅതുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്നു ശിഷ്യനായിത്തീര്ന്ന ഏതു ശാസ്ത്രിയും തന്റെ നിക്ഷേപത്തില് നിന്നു പുതിയതും പഴയതും എടുത്തു കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരു വീട്ടുടയവനോടു സദൃശനാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

52. Then sayde he vnto them: Therfore, euery Scribe which is taught vnto the kyngdome of heauen, is lyke vnto a man that is an householder, whiche bryngeth foorth out of his treasure, thynges newe and olde.

53. ഈ ഉപമകളെ പറഞ്ഞു തീര്ന്നശേഷം യേശു അവിടം വിട്ടു തന്റെ പിതൃനഗരത്തില് വന്നു, അവരുടെ പള്ളിയില് അവര്ക്കും ഉപദേശിച്ചു.

53. And it came to passe, that when Iesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

54. അവര് വിസ്മയിച്ചുഇവന്നു ഈ ജ്ഞാനവും വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളും എവിടെ നിന്നു?
യെശയ്യാ 52:14

54. And when he came into his owne countrey, he taught them in their synagogues, in so much, that they were astonyed, and sayde: whence commeth this wysdome and powers vnto hym?

55. ഇവന് തച്ചന്റെ മകന് അല്ലയോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നവളല്ലയോ? ഇവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര് യാക്കോബ്, യോസെ, ശിമോന് , യൂദാ എന്നവര് അല്ലയോ?

55. Is not this the carpenters sonne? Is not his mother called Marie? and his brethren, Iames, and Ioses, and Simon, and Iudas?

56. ഇവന്റെ സഹോദരികളും എല്ലാം നമ്മോടുകൂടെയില്ലയോ? ഇവന്നു ഇതു ഒക്കെയും എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവങ്കല് ഇടറിപ്പോയി.

56. And are not all his sisters with vs? whence hath he then all these thynges?

57. യേശു അവരോടു“ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് തന്റെ പിതൃനഗരത്തിലും സ്വന്തഭവനത്തിലും അല്ലാതെ ബഹുമാനമില്ലാത്തവന് അല്ല” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

57. And they were offended in hym. Iesus sayde vnto them: A prophete is not without honour, saue in his owne countrey, and in his owne house.

58. അവരുടെ അവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തം അവിടെ വളരെ വീര്യപ്രവര്ത്തികളെ ചെയ്തില്ല.

58. And he did not many mightie workes there, because of their vnbeliefe.
