1. അവന് പിന്നെയും പള്ളിയില് ചെന്നുഅവിടെ വരണ്ട കയ്യുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

1. And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there who had his hand withered.

2. അവര് അവനെ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ശബ്ബത്തില് അവനെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുമോ എന്നു നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

2. And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

3. വരണ്ടകയ്യുള്ള മനുഷ്യനോടു അവന് നടുവില് എഴുന്നേറ്റു നില്ക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. And he says to the man who had his hand withered, Stand in the middle [of the synagogue].

4. പിന്നെ അവരോടുശബ്ബത്തില് നന്മ ചെയ്കയോ, തിന്മചെയ്കയോ, ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കയോ, കൊല്ലുകയോ, ഏതു വിഹിതം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവരോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.

4. And he says to them, Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

5. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തം അവന് ദുഃഖിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു കോപത്തോടെ അവരെ ചുറ്റും നോക്കി, ആ മനുഷ്യനോടുകൈ നീട്ടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുഅവന് നീട്ടി, അവന്റെ കൈ സൌഖ്യമായി.

5. And when he had looked around on them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their heart, he says to the man, Stretch forth [your] hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.

6. ഉടനെ പരീശന്മാര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു, അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഹെരോദ്യരുമായി ആലോചന കഴിച്ചു.

6. And the Pharisees went out, and right away with the Herodians gave counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

7. യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി കടല്ക്കരകൂ വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി; ഗലീലയില്നിന്നു വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരം അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു;

7. And Jesus with his disciples withdrew to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed; and from Judea,

8. യെഹൂദ്യയില് നിന്നും യെരൂശലേമില്നിന്നും എദോമില് നിന്നും യോര്ദാന്നക്കരെ നിന്നും സോരിന്റെയും സിദോന്റെയും ചുറ്റുപാട്ടില്നിന്നും വലിയോരു കൂട്ടം അവന് ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും കേട്ടിട്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു.

8. and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.

9. പുരുഷാരം തന്നെ ഞെരുക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം ഒരു ചെറു പടകു തനിക്കു ഒരുക്കി നിറുത്തുവാന് അവന് ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. And he spoke to his disciples, that a little boat should wait on him because of the crowd, lest they should throng him:

10. അവന് അനേകരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയാല് ബാധകള് ഉള്ളവര് ഒക്കെയും അവനെ തൊടേണ്ടതിന്നു തിക്കിത്തിരക്കി വന്നു.

10. for he had healed many; insomuch that as many as had plagues pressed on him that they might touch him.

11. അശുദ്ധാത്മാക്കളും അവനെ കാണുമ്പോള് ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് വീണുനീ ദൈവ പുത്രന് എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറയും.

11. And the unclean spirits, whenever they looked at him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, You are the Son of God.

12. തന്നെ പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് അവരെ വളരെ ശാസിച്ചുപോന്നു.

12. And he charged them much that they should not make him known.

13. പിന്നെ അവന് മലയില് കയറി തനിക്കു ബോധിച്ചവരെ അടുക്കല് വിളിച്ചു; അവര് അവന്റെ അരികെ വന്നു.

13. And he goes up into the mountain, and calls to him whom he himself wanted; and they went to him.

14. അവന് തന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിപ്പാനും പ്രസംഗിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അയപ്പാനും

14. And he appointed twelve, whom he also named apostles, that they might be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

15. ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അധികാരം ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും പന്തിരുവരെ നിയമിച്ചു;

15. and to have authority to cast out demons.

16. ശിമോന്നു പത്രൊസ് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു;

16. And he appointed the twelve: and he gave the name Peter to Simon;

17. സെബെദിയുടെ മകനായ യാക്കോബു, യക്കോബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യോഹന്നാന് ഇവര്ക്കും ഇടിമക്കള് എന്നര്ത്ഥമുള്ള ബൊവനേര്ഗ്ഗെസ് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു —

17. and James the [son] of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he gave them the name Boanerges, which is, Sons of thunder:

18. അന്ത്രെയാസ്, ഫിലിപ്പൊസ്, ബര്ത്തൊലോമായി, മത്തായി, തോമാസ്, അല്ഫായിയുടെ മകനായ യാക്കോബ്, തദ്ദായി, കനാന്യനായ ശിമോന് ,

18. and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Cananaean,

19. തന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത ഈസ്കായ്യോര്ത്ത് യൂദാ എന്നിവരെ തന്നേ.

19. and Judas Iscariot, who also delivered him up.

20. അവന് വീട്ടില് വന്നു; അവര്ക്കും ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാന് പോലും വഹിയാതവണ്ണം പുരുഷാരം പിന്നെയും തിങ്ങി കൂടി വന്നു.

20. And he comes into a house. And the multitude comes together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

21. അവന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാര് അതു കേട്ടു, അവന്നു ബുദ്ധിഭ്രമം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ പിടിപ്പാന് വന്നു.

21. And when his friends heard it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

22. യെരൂശലേമില് നിന്നു വന്ന ശാസ്ത്രിമാരുംഅവന്നു ബെയെത്സെബൂല് ഉണ്ടു, ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ തലവനെ കൊണ്ടു അവന് ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, He has Beelzebul, and, By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.

23. അവന് അവരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു ഉപമകളാല് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുസാത്താന്നു സാത്താനെ എങ്ങനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാന് കഴിയും?

23. And he called them to him, and said to them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

24. ഒരു രാജ്യം തന്നില്തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കില് ആ രാജ്യത്തിനു നിലനില്പാന് കഴികയില്ല.

24. And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom can't stand.

25. ഒരു വീടു തന്നില് തന്നേ ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങ്കില് ആ വീട്ടിന്നു നിലനില്പാന് കഴികയില്ല.

25. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

26. സാത്താന് തന്നോടുതന്നേ എതിര്ത്തു ഛിദ്രിച്ചു എങകില് അവന്നു നിലനില്പാന് കഴിവില്ല; അവന്റെ അവസാനം വന്നു.

26. And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can't stand, but has an end.

27. ബലവാനെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടീട്ടല്ലാതെ അവന്റെ വീട്ടില് കടന്നു അവന്റെ കോപ്പു കവര്ന്നുകളവാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴികയില്ല; പിടിച്ചു കെട്ടിയാല് പിന്നെ അവന്റെ വീടു കവര്ച്ച ചെയ്യാം.

27. But no one can enter into the house of the strong [man], and spoil his goods, except he first binds the strong [man]; and then he will spoil his house.

28. മനുഷ്യരോടു സകല പാപങ്ങളും അവര് ദുഷിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സകല ദൂഷണങ്ങളും ക്ഷമിക്കും;

28. Truly I say to you+, All their sins will be forgiven to the sons of men, and their blasphemies by whichever they will blaspheme:

29. പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ നേരെ ദൂഷണം പയുന്നവനോ ഒരുനാളും ക്ഷമ കിട്ടാതെ നിത്യശിക്ഷെക്കു യോഗ്യനാകും എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

29. but whoever will blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin:

30. അവന്നു ഒരു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

30. because they said, He has an unclean spirit.

31. അനന്തരം അവന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും വന്നു പുറത്തു നിന്നു അവനെ വിളപ്പാന് ആളയച്ചു.

31. And his mother and his brothers come; and, standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.

32. പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു; അവര് അവനോടുനിന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും പുറത്തു നിന്നു നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന് അവരോടു

32. And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say to him, Look, your mother and your brothers and your sisters outside seek for you.

33. എന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും ആര് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു ചുറ്റിലും ഇരിക്കുന്നവരെ നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു

33. And he answers them, and says, Who is my mother and my brothers?

34. എന്റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും ഇതാ.

34. And looking around on those who sat around him, he says, Here are my mother and my brothers.

35. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവന് തന്നേ എന്റെ സഹോദരനും സഹോദരിയും അമ്മയും ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

35. For whoever will do the will of God, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
