1. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു, ആട്ടിന് തൊഴിത്തില് വാതിലൂടെ കടക്കാതെ വേറെ വഴിയായി കയറുന്നവന് കള്ളനും കവര്ച്ചക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു.

1. He that goeth in by ye dore is the shepeherde of ye shepe:

2. വാതിലൂടെ കടക്കുന്നവനോ ആടുകളുടെ ഇടയന് ആകുന്നു.

2. to him the porter openeth and the shepe heare his voyce and he calleth his awne shepe by name and leadeth them out.

3. അവന്നു വാതില് കാവല്ക്കാരന് തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കുന്നു; ആടുകള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ആടുകളെ അവന് പേര് ചൊല്ലി വിളിച്ചു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.

3. And when he hath sent forthe his awne shepe he goeth before them and the shepe folowe him: for they knowe his voyce.

4. തനിക്കുള്ളവയെ ഒക്കെയും പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോയശേഷം അവന് അവേക്കു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്നു; ആടുകള് അവന്റെ ശബ്ദം അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ അനുഗമിക്കുന്നു.

4. A straunger they will not folowe but will flye from him: for they knowe not the voyce of straungers.

5. അന്യന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവ അന്യനെ അനുഗമിക്കാതെ വിട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോകും.

5. This similitude spake Iesus vnto them. But they vnderstode not what thinges they were which he spake vnto them.

6. ഈ സാദൃശ്യം യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാല് തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു അവര് ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല.

6. Then sayde Iesus vnto them agayne. Verely verely I saye vnto you: I am the dore of the shepe.

7. യേശു പിന്നെയും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നുആടുകളുടെ വാതില് ഞാന് ആകുന്നു.

7. All even as many as came before me are theves and robbers: but the shepe dyd not heare them.

8. എനിക്കു മുമ്പെ വന്നവര് ഒക്കെയും കള്ളന്മാരും കവര്ച്ചക്കാരും അത്രേ; ആടുകളോ അവരുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടില്ല.

8. I am the dore: by me yf eny man enter in he shalbe safe and shall goo in and out and fynde pasture.

9. ഞാന് വാതില് ആകുന്നു; എന്നിലൂടെ കടക്കുന്നവന് രക്ഷപ്പെടും; അവന് അകത്തു വരികയും പുറത്തുപോകയും മേച്ചല് കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും.

9. The thefe cometh not but forto steale kyll and destroye. I am come that they myght have lyfe and have it more aboundantly.

10. മോഷ്ടിപ്പാനും അറുപ്പാനും മുടിപ്പാനും അല്ലാതെ കള്ളന് വരുന്നില്ല; അവര്ക്കും ജീവന് ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും സമൃദ്ധിയായിട്ടു ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും അത്രേ ഞാന് വന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

10. I am ye good shepeheerd. The good shepeheerd geveth his lyfe for ye shepe.

11. ഞാന് നല്ല ഇടയന് ആകുന്നു; നല്ല ഇടയന് ആടുകള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്റെ ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

11. An heyred servaut which is not ye shepeherd nether ye shepe are his awne seith the wolfe comynge and leveth the shepe and flyeth and the wolfe catcheth them and scattereth ye shepe.

12. ഇടയനും ആടുകളുടെ ഉടമസ്ഥനുമല്ലാത്ത കൂലിക്കാരന് ചെന്നായ് വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു ആടുകളെ വിട്ടു ഔടിക്കളയുന്നു; ചെന്നായ് അവയെ പിടിക്കയും ചിന്നിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

12. The heyred servaut flyeth because he is an heyred servaunt and careth not for the shepe.

13. അവന് കൂലിക്കാരനും ആടുകളെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരമില്ലാത്തവനുമല്ലോ.

13. I am that good shepeheerd and knowe myne and am knowe of myne.

14. ഞാന് നല്ല ഇടയന് ; പിതാവു എന്നെ അറികയും ഞാന് പിതാവിനെ അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാന് എനിക്കുള്ളവയെ അറികയും എനിക്കുള്ളവ എന്നെ അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

14. As my father knoweth me: even so knowe I my father. And I geve my lyfe for the shepe:

15. ആടുകള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഞാന് എന്റെ ജീവനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

15. and other shepe I have which are not of this folde. Them also must I bringe that they maye heare my voyce and that ther maye be one flocke and one shepeherde.

16. ഈ തൊഴുത്തില് ഉള്പ്പെടാത്ത വേറെ ആടുകള് എനിക്കു ഉണ്ടു; അവയെയും ഞാന് നടത്തേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കും; ഒരാട്ടിന് കൂട്ടവും ഒരിടയനും ആകും.

16. Therfore doth my father love me because I put my lyfe from me that I myght take it agayne.

17. എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടും പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അതിനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പിതാവു എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

17. No man taketh it from me: but I put it awaye of my selfe. I have power to put it from me and have power to take it agayne: This comaundment have I receaved of my father.

18. ആരും അതിനെ എന്നോടു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നില്ല; ഞാന് തന്നേ അതിനെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അതിനെ കൊടുപ്പാന് എനിക്കു അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു; വീണ്ടും പ്രാപിപ്പാനും അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു; ഈ കല്പന എന്റെ പിതാവിങ്കല് നിന്നു എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. And ther was a dissencion agayne amoge the Iewes for these sayinges

19. ഈ വചനം നിമിത്തം യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് പിന്നെയും ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.

19. and many of them sayd. He hath the devyll and is mad: why heare ye him?

20. അവരില് പലരും; അവന്നു ഭൂതം ഉണ്ടു; അവന് ഭ്രാന്തന് ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

20. Other sayde these are not the wordes of him that hath the devyll. Can the devyll open the eyes of the blynde?

21. മറ്റു ചിലര്ഇതു ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തന്റെ വാക്കല്ല; ഭൂതത്തിന്നു കുരുടന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറപ്പാന് കഴിയുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

21. And it was at Ierusalem ye feaste of the dedicacion and it was wynter:

22. അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമില് പ്രതിഷ്ഠോത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു; അന്നു ശീതകാലമായിരുന്നു.

22. and Iesus walked in Salomons porche.

23. യേശു ദൈവലായത്തില് ശലോമോന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തില് നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

23. Then came the Iewes rounde aboute him and sayde vnto him: How longe dost thou make vs doute? Yf thou be Christ tell vs playnly.

24. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെ വളഞ്ഞുനീ എത്രത്തോളം ഞങ്ങളെ ആശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു? നീ ക്രിസ്തു എങ്കില് സ്പഷ്ടമായി പറക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Iesus answered them: I tolde you and ye beleve not. The workes yt I do in my fathers name they beare witnes of me.

25. യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങള് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഞാന് ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികള് എനിക്കു സാക്ഷ്യം ആകുന്നു.

25. But ye beleve not because ye are not of my shepe. As I sayde vnto you:

26. നിങ്ങളോ എന്റെ ആടുകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലുള്ളവരല്ലായ്കയാല് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്റെ ആടുകള് എന്റെ ശബ്ദം കേള്ക്കുന്നു;

26. my shepe heare my voyce and I knowe them and they folowe me

27. ഞാന് അവയെ അറികയും അവ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

27. and I geve vnto the eternall lyfe and they shall never perisshe nether shall eny man plucke the oute of my honde.

28. ഞാന് അവേക്കു നിത്യജീവന് കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവ ഒരുനാളും നശിച്ചു പോകയില്ല; ആരും അവയെ എന്റെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കയും ഇല്ല.

28. My father which gave the me is greatter then all and no man is able to take them out of my fathers honde.

29. അവയെ തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ പിതാവു എല്ലാവരിലും വലിയവന് ; പിതാവിന്റെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു പിടിച്ചുപറിപ്പാന് ആര്ക്കും കഴികയില്ല

29. And I and my father are one.

30. ഞാനും പിതാവും ഒന്നാകുന്നു.”

30. Then the Iewes agayne toke up stones to stone him with all.

31. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനെ എറിവാന് പിന്നെയും കല്ലു എടുത്തു.

31. Iesus answered them: many good workes have I shewed you from my father: for which of them will ye stone me?

32. യേശു അവരോടു“പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പനയാല് ഞാന് പല നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തികള് നിങ്ങളെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവയില് ഏതു പ്രവൃത്തിനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങള് എന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നു?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

32. The Iewes answered him sayinge. For thy good workes sake we stone ye not: but for thy blasphemy and because that thou beinge a man makest thy selfe God.

33. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അവനോടുനല്ല പ്രവൃത്തി നിമിത്തമല്ല, ദൈവദൂഷണം നിമിത്തവും നീ മനുഷ്യനായിരിക്കെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ ദൈവം ആക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടുമത്രേ ഞങ്ങള് നിന്നെ കല്ലെറിയുന്നതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

33. Iesus answered them: Is it not written in youre lawe: I saye ye are goddes?

34. യേശു അവരോടുനിങ്ങള് ദേവന്മാര് ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

34. If he called the goddes vnto whom the worde of God was spoken (and the scripture can not be broken)

35. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുള്ളവരെ ദേവന്മാര് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കില്-തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു നീക്കം വന്നുകൂടായല്ലോ-

35. saye ye then to him whom the father hath sainctified and sent into the worlde thou blasphemest because I sayd I am the sonne of God?

36. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടുനീ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു എന്നു പിതാവു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു ലോകത്തില് അയച്ചവനോടു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നുവോ?

36. If I do not the workes of my father beleve me not.

37. ഞാന് എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലെങ്കില് എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കേണ്ടാ;

37. But if I do though ye beleve not me yet beleve the workes that ye maye knowe and beleve that the father is in me and I in him.

38. ചെയ്യുന്നു എങ്കിലോ എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരുന്നാലും പിതാവു എന്നിലും ഞാന് പിതാവിലും എന്നു നിങ്ങള് ഗ്രഹിച്ചു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രവൃത്തിയെ വിശ്വസിപ്പിന് .

38. Agayne they went aboute to take him: but he escaped out of their hondes

39. അവര് അവനെ പിന്നെയും പിടിപ്പാന് നോക്കി; അവനോ അവരുടെ കയ്യില് നിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി.

39. and went awaye agayne beyonde Iordan into the place where Iohn before had baptised and there aboode.

40. അവന് യോര്ദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ യോഹന്നാന് ആദിയില് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു പിന്നെയും ചെന്നു അവിടെ പാര്ത്തു.

40. And many resorted vnto him and sayd. Iohn dyd no miracle: but all thinges that Iohn spake of this man are true.

41. പലരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുയോഹന്നാന് അടയാളം ഒന്നും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല; എന്നാല് ഇവനെക്കുറിച്ചു യോഹന്നാന് പറഞ്ഞതു ഒക്കെയും സത്യമായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവിടെ പലരും അവനില് വിശ്വസിച്ചു.

41. And many beleved on him theare.
