1. ഇതു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടു യേശു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കി പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്പിതാവേ, നാഴിക വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ പുത്രന് നിന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു പുത്രനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ.

1. WHEN JESUS had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify and exalt and honor and magnify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify and extol and honor and magnify You.

2. നീ അവന്നു നല്കീട്ടുള്ളവര്ക്കെല്ലാവര്ക്കും അവന് നിത്യജീവനെ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ സകല ജഡത്തിന്മേലും അവന്നു അധികരാം നല്ക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

2. [Just as] You have granted Him power and authority over all flesh (all humankind), [now glorify Him] so that He may give eternal life to all whom You have given Him.

3. ഏകസത്യദൈവമായ നിന്നെയും നീ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും അറിയുന്നതു തന്നേ നിത്യജീവന് ആകുന്നു.

3. And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.

4. ഞാന് ഭൂമിയില് നിന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി, നീ എനിക്കു ചെയ്വാന് തന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി തികെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. I have glorified You down here on the earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do.

5. ഇപ്പോള് പിതാവേ, ലോകം ഉണ്ടാകുംമുമ്പെ എനിക്കു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മഹത്വത്തില് എന്നെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ.

5. And now, Father, glorify Me along with Yourself and restore Me to such majesty and honor in Your presence as I had with You before the world existed.

6. നീ ലോകത്തില്നിന്നു എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവര് നിനക്കുള്ളവര് ആയിരുന്നു; നീ അവരെ എനിക്കു തന്നു; അവര് നിന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. I have manifested Your Name [I have revealed Your very Self, Your real Self] to the people whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have obeyed and kept Your word.

7. നീ എനിക്കു തന്നതു എല്ലാം നിന്റെ പക്കല് നിന്നു ആകുന്നു എന്നു അവര് ഇപ്പോള് അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. Now [at last] they know and understand that all You have given Me belongs to You [is really and truly Yours].

8. നീ എനിക്കു തന്ന വചനം ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തു; അവര് അതു കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് നിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സത്യമായിട്ടു അറിഞ്ഞും നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചു എന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. For the [uttered] words that You gave Me I have given them; and they have received and accepted [them] and have come to know positively and in reality [to believe with absolute assurance] that I came forth from Your presence, and they have believed and are convinced that You did send Me.

9. ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; ലോകത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി അല്ല; നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ളവര് നിനക്കുള്ളവര് ആകകൊണ്ടു അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടിയത്രേ ഞാന് അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു.

9. I am praying for them. I am not praying (requesting) for the world, but for those You have given Me, for they belong to You.

10. എന്റേതു എല്ലാം നിന്റേതും നിന്റേതു എന്റേതും ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് അവരില് മഹത്വപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. All [things that are] Mine are Yours, and all [things that are] Yours belong to Me; and I am glorified in (through) them. [They have done Me honor; in them My glory is achieved.]

11. ഇനി ഞാന് ലോകത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഇവരോ ലോകത്തില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നു. പരിശുദ്ധപിതാവേ, അവര് നമ്മെപ്പോലെ ഒന്നാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ നാമത്തില് അവരെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ.

11. And [now] I am no more in the world, but these are [still] in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep in Your Name [in the knowledge of Yourself] those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We [are one].

12. അവരോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നപ്പോള് ഞാന് അവരെ നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ നാമത്തില് കാത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ഞാന് അവരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു; തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു നിവൃത്തി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു ആ നാശയോഗ്യനല്ലാതെ അവരില് ആരും നശിച്ചുപോയിട്ടില്ല.

12. While I was with them, I kept and preserved them in Your Name [in the knowledge and worship of You]. Those You have given Me I guarded and protected, and not one of them has perished or is lost except the son of perdition [Judas Iscariot--the one who is now doomed to destruction, destined to be lost], that the Scripture might be fulfilled. [Ps. 41:9; John 6:70.]

13. ഇപ്പോഴോ ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരുന്നു; എന്റെ സന്തോഷം അവര്ക്കും ഉള്ളില് പൂര്ണ്ണമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു ലോകത്തില്വെച്ചു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

13. And now I am coming to You; I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in them [that they may experience My delight fulfilled in them, that My enjoyment may be perfected in their own souls, that they may have My gladness within them, filling their hearts].

14. ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും നിന്റെ വചനം കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ലൌകികനല്ലാത്തതുപോലെ അവരും ലൌകികന്മാരല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ലോകം അവരെ പകെച്ചു.

14. I have given and delivered to them Your word (message) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world [do not belong to the world], just as I am not of the world.

15. അവരെ ലോകത്തില് നിന്നു എടുക്കേണം എന്നല്ല, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ കയ്യില് അകപ്പെടാതവണ്ണം അവരെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നത്രേ ഞാന് അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു.

15. I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.

16. ഞാന് ലൌകികനല്ലാത്തതുപോലെ അവരും ലൌകികന്മാരല്ല.

16. They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world.

17. സത്യത്താല് അവരെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണമേ, നിന്റെ വചനം സത്യം ആകുന്നു.

17. Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.

18. നീ എന്നെ ലോകത്തിലേക്കു അയച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാന് അവരെയും ലോകത്തിലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19. അവരും സാക്ഷാല് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവര് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി എന്നെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നു.

19. And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth.

20. ഇവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടിമാത്രമല്ല, ഇവരുടെ വചനത്താല് എന്നില് വിശ്വസിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടിയും ഞാന് അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

20. Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,

21. നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ലോകം വിശ്വസിപ്പാന് അവര് എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നാകേണ്ടതിന്നു, പിതാവേ, നീ എന്നിലും ഞാന് നിന്നിലും ആകുന്നതുപോലെ അവരും നമ്മില് ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

21. That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

22. നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള മഹത്വം ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

22. I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one:

23. നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരെയും സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നും ലോകം അറിവാന് , നാം ഒന്നായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരും ഒന്നാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് അവരിലും നീ എന്നിലുമായി അവര് ഐക്യത്തില് തികെഞ്ഞവരായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നെ.

23. I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.

24. പിതാവേ, നീ ലോകസ്ഥാപനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചരിക്കകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു നല്കിയ മഹത്വം നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ളവര് കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഇടത്തു അവരും എന്നോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.
സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങൾ 8:22-25

24. Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me [as Your gift to Me] may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory, which You have given Me [Your love gift to Me]; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

25. നീതിയുള്ള പിതാവേ, ലോകം നിന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല; ഞാനോ നിന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഇവരും അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

25. O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has failed to recognize You and has never acknowledged You, I have known You [continually]; and these men understand and know that You have sent Me.

26. നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന സ്നേഹം അവരില് ആകുവാനും ഞാന് അവരില് ആകുവാനും ഞാന് നിന്റെ നാമം അവര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും.

26. I have made Your Name known to them and revealed Your character and Your very Self, and I will continue to make [You] known, that the love which You have bestowed upon Me may be in them [felt in their hearts] and that I [Myself] may be in them.
