1. സംശയവിചാരങ്ങളെ വിധിക്കാതെ വിശ്വാസത്തില് ബലഹീനനായവനെ ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് .

1. Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, {but} not to doubtful disputations.

2. ഒരുവന് എല്ലാം തിന്നാമെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; ബലഹീനനോ സസ്യാദികളെ തിന്നുന്നു.

2. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

3. തിന്നുന്നവന് തിന്നാത്തവനെ ധിക്കരിക്കരുതു; തിന്നാത്തവന് തിന്നുന്നവനെ വിധിക്കരുതു; ദൈവം അവനെ കൈക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

3. Let not him that eateth, despise him that eateth not; and let not him who eateth not, judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

4. മറ്റൊരുത്തന്റെ ദാസനെ വിധിപ്പാന് നീ ആര്? അവന് നിലക്കുന്നതോ വീഴുന്നതോ സ്വന്തയജമാനന്നത്രേ; അവന് നിലക്കുംതാനും; അവന് നിലക്കുമാറാക്കുവാന് കര്ത്താവിന്നു കഴിയുമല്ലോ.

4. Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth: and he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.

5. ഒരുവന് ഒരു ദിവസത്തെക്കാള് മറ്റൊരു ദിവസത്തെ മാനിക്കുന്നു; വേറൊരുവന് സകലദിവസങ്ങളെയും മാനിക്കുന്നു; ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ മനസ്സില് ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കട്ടെ.

5. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day {alike}. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

6. ദിവസത്തെ ആദരിക്കുന്നവന് കര്ത്താവിന്നായി ആദരിക്കുന്നു; തിന്നുന്നവന് കര്ത്താവിന്നായി തിന്നുന്നു; അവന് ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; തിന്നാത്തവന് കര്ത്താവിന്നായി തിന്നാതിരിക്കുന്നു; അവനും ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.

6. He that regardeth the day, regardeth {it} to the Lord: and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard {it}. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

7. നമ്മില് ആരും തനിക്കായി തന്നേ ജീവിക്കുന്നില്ല. ആരും തനിക്കായി തന്നേ മരിക്കുന്നുമില്ല.

7. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

8. ജീവിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് നാം കര്ത്താവിന്നായി ജീവിക്കുന്നു; മരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കില് കര്ത്താവിന്നായി മരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ജീവിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും മരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും നാം കര്ത്താവിന്നുള്ളവര് തന്നേ.

8. For whether we live, we live to the Lord; and whether we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

9. മരിച്ചവര്ക്കും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും കര്ത്താവു ആകേണ്ടതിന്നല്ലോ ക്രിസ്തു മരിക്കയും ഉയിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു.

9. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.

10. എന്നാല് നീ സഹോദരനെ വിധിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? അല്ല നീ സഹോദരനെ ധിക്കരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നാം എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായാസനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കേണ്ടിവരും.

10. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at naught thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of Christ.

11. “എന്നാണ എന്റെ മുമ്പില് എല്ലാമുഴങ്കാലും മടങ്ങും, എല്ലാനാവും ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കും എന്നു കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

11. For it is written, {As} I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12. ആകയാല് നമ്മില് ഔരോരുത്തന് ദൈവത്തൊടു കണകൂ ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടിവരും.

12. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

13. അതുകൊണ്ടു നാം ഇനി അന്യോന്യം വിധിക്കരുതു; സഹോദരന്നു ഇടര്ച്ചയോ തടങ്ങലോ വെക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് മാത്രം ഉറെച്ചുകൊള്വിന്

13. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling-block, or an occasion to fall in {his} brother's way.

14. യാതൊന്നും സ്വതവെ മലിനമല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് കര്ത്താവായ യേശുവില് അറിഞ്ഞും ഉറെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു. വല്ലതും മലിനം എന്നു എണ്ണുന്നവന്നു മാത്രം അതു മലിനം ആകുന്നു.

14. I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that {there is} nothing unclean by itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him {it is} unclean.

15. നിന്റെ ഭക്ഷണംനിമിത്തം സഹോദരനെ വ്യസനിപ്പിച്ചാല് നീ സ്നേഹപ്രകാരം നടക്കുന്നില്ല. ആര്ക്കുംവേണ്ടി ക്രിസ്തു മരിച്ചുവോ അവനെ നിന്റെ ഭക്ഷണംകൊണ്ടു നശിപ്പിക്കരുതു.

15. But if thy brother is grieved with {thy} food, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy food, for whom Christ died.

16. നിങ്ങളുടെ നന്മെക്കു ദൂഷണം വരുത്തരുതു.

16. Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

17. ദൈവരാജ്യം ഭക്ഷണവും പാനീയവുമല്ല, നീതിയും സമാധാനവും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവില് സന്തോഷവും അത്രേ.

17. For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

18. അതില് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ സേവിക്കുന്നവന് ദൈവത്തെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനും മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും കൊള്ളാകുന്നവനും തന്നേ.

18. For he that in these things serveth Christ, {is} acceptable to God, and approved by men.

19. ആകയാല് നാം സമാധാനത്തിന്നും അന്യോന്യം ആത്മികവദ്ധനെക്കും ഉള്ളതിന്നു ശ്രമിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

19. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things with which one may edify another.

20. ഭക്ഷണംനിമിത്തം ദൈവനിര്മ്മാണത്തെ അഴിക്കരുതു. എല്ലാം ശുദ്ധം തന്നേ; എങ്കിലും ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തുമാറു തിന്നുന്ന മനുഷ്യനു അതു ദോഷമത്രേ.

20. For the sake of food, destroy not the work of God. All things indeed {are} pure; but {it is} evil for that man who eateth with offense.

21. മാംസം തിന്നാതെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കാതെയും സഹോദരന്നു ഇടര്ച്ച വരുത്തുന്ന യാതൊന്നും ചെയ്യാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

21. {It is} good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor {any thing} by which thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

22. നിനക്കുള്ള വിശ്വാസം ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് നിനക്കു തന്നേ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; താന് സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നതില് തന്നെത്താന് വിധിക്കാത്തവന് ഭാഗ്യവാന് .

22. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy {is} he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

23. എന്നാല് സംശയിക്കുന്നവന് തിന്നുന്നു എങ്കില് അതു വിശ്വാസത്തില് നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് കുറ്റക്കാരനായിരിക്കുന്നു. വിശ്വാസത്തില് നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിക്കാത്തതൊക്കെയും പാപമത്രേ.

23. And he that doubteth is damned if he eateth, because {he eateth} not from faith: for whatever {is} not from faith is sin.
