1. ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താല് യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട പൌലൊസും സഹോദരനായ സോസ്തെനേസും കൊരിന്തിലുള്ള ദൈവസഭെക്കു,

1. Paul by vocation(called to be) an apostle of Jesus Christ thorow the will of God, and brother Sostenes.

2. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരും അവിടെയും ഇവിടെയും എവിടെയും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ഏവരോടുംകൂടെ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായവര്ക്കും തന്നേ, എഴുതുന്നതു;

2. Unto the congregation of God which is at Corinthum. To them that are sanctified in Jesus(Iesu) Christ, saints by calling, with all that call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both of theirs and of ours.

3. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നും കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കല് നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

3. Grace be with you and peace from God our father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

4. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് നല്കപ്പെട്ട ദൈവകൃപനിമിത്തം ഞാന് എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു എപ്പോഴും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. I thank my God always on your behalf for the favour(grace) of God which is given you by Jesus Christ,

5. ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം നിങ്ങളില് ഉറപ്പായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ

5. that in all things(points) ye are made rich by him, in all speech(learning)(every word) and in all knowledge(manner of knowledge)

6. അവനില് നിങ്ങള് സകലത്തിലും വിശേഷാല് സകല വചനത്തിലും സകല പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സമ്പന്നരായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

6. (even as the testimony of Jesus Christ was confirmed in you,)

7. ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് ഒരു കൃപാവരത്തിലും കുറവില്ലാത്തവരായി നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷത കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

7. so that ye are behind in no gift,(want nothing in any gift) and wait for the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ

8. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളില് കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് നിങ്ങളെ അവസാനത്തോളം ഉറപ്പിക്കും.

8. which shall strength you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day (of the coming) of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9. തന്റെ പുത്രനും നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കൂട്ടായ്മയിലേക്കു നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം വിശ്വസ്തന് .
ആവർത്തനം 7:9

9. (For) God is faithful, by whom ye are called unto the fellowship of his son Jesus Christ our Lord.

10. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള് എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നു തന്നേ സംസാരിക്കയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഭിന്നത ഭവിക്കാതെ ഏകമനസ്സിലും ഏകാഭിപ്രായത്തിലും യോജിച്ചിരിക്കയും വേണം എന്നു ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമം ചൊല്ലി പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

10. I beseech you brethren in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak one thing, and that there be no dissension among you: but be ye perfect(knit together) in one mind, and one meaning:

11. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പിണക്കം ഉണ്ടെന്നു ക്ളോവയുടെ ആളുകളാല് എനിക്കു അറിവു കിട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. It is shewed unto me (my brethren) of you by them that are of the house of Cloe, that there is strife among you;

12. നിങ്ങളില് ഔരോരുത്തന് ഞാന് പൌലൊസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് , ഞാന് അപ്പൊല്ലോസിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് , ഞാന് കേഫാവിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് , ഞാന് ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പക്ഷക്കാരന് എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു പോല്.

12. I speak of that which everyone of you sayth:(And this is it that I mean: how that commonly among you, one sayeth:) I hold of Paul; Another sayth: I hold of Apollo: Another(the third) saith: I hold of Cephas: and another saith(the fourth that) I hold of Christ.

13. ക്രിസ്തു വിഭാഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? പൌലൊസ് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവോ? അല്ല, പൌലൊസിന്റെ നാമത്തില് നിങ്ങള് സ്നാനം ഏറ്റുവോ?

13. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? other(either) were ye baptised in the name of Paul?

14. എന്റെ നാമത്തില് ഞാന് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു ആരും പറയാതവണ്ണം

14. I thank God that I christened(have baptised) none of you, but Crispus and Gaius,

15. ക്രിസ്പൊസിനെയും ഗായൊസിനെയും ഒഴികെ നിങ്ങളില് ആരെയും ഞാന് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിക്കായ്കയാല് ഞാന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

15. lest any should say that I in mine own name had baptised.

16. സ്തെഫനാസിന്റെ ഭവനക്കാരെയും ഞാന് സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു; അതല്ലാതെ മറ്റു വല്ലവരെയും സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചുവോ എന്നു ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കുംന്നില്ല.

16. I baptised also the house of Stephana. Furthermore know I not whether I baptised any man (of you) or no.

17. സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിപ്പാന് അല്ല സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാനത്രെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നെ അയച്ചതു; ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ക്രൂശു വ്യര്ത്ഥമാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വാക്ചാതുര്യത്തോടെ അല്ലതാനും.

17. For Christ sent me not to baptise, but to preach the gospel,(gospell) not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should have been made of none effect.

18. ക്രൂശിന്റെ വചനം നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നവര്ക്കും ഭോഷത്വവും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന നമുക്കോ ദൈവശക്തിയും ആകുന്നു.

18. For the preaching(word) of the cross is to them that perish foolishness: but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.

19. “ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനം ഞാന് നശിപ്പിക്കയും ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരുടെ ബുദ്ധി ദുര്ബ്ബലമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
യെശയ്യാ 29:14

19. For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will cast away the understanding of the prudent.

20. ജ്ഞാനി എവിടെ? ശാസ്ത്രി എവിടെ? ഈ ലോകത്തിലെ താര്ക്കികന് എവിടെ? ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം ദൈവം ഭോഷത്വമാക്കിയില്ലയോ?

20. Where is the wise man? where is the scribe? where is the searcher(disputers) of this world? Hath not God made the wisdom of this world foolishness?

21. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തില് ലോകം ജ്ഞാനത്താല് ദൈവത്തെ അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരെ പ്രസംഗത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്വത്താല് രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി.

21. For when the world thorow wisdom knew not God, in the wisdom of God: it pleased God thorow foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22. യെഹൂദന്മാര് അടയാളം ചോദിക്കയും യവനന്മാര് ജ്ഞാനം അന്വേഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു;

22. For the jews require a sign,(tokens) and the greeks seek(ask) after wisdom.

23. ഞങ്ങളോ ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു; യെഹൂദന്മാര്ക്കും ഇടര്ച്ചയും

23. But we preach Christ crucified, unto the jews an occasion of falling and unto the greeks foolishness:

24. ജാതികള്ക്കു ഭോഷത്വവുമെങ്കിലും യെഹൂദന്മാരാകട്ടെ യവനന്മാരാകട്ടെ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഏവര്ക്കും ദൈവശക്തിയും ദൈവജ്ഞാനവുമായ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ തന്നേ.

24. but unto them which are called both of jews and greeks we preach Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോഷത്വം മനുഷ്യരെക്കാള് ജ്ഞാനമേറിയതും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ബലഹീനത മനുഷ്യരെക്കാള് ബലമേറിയതും ആകുന്നു.

25. For Godly foolishness(the foolishness of God) is wiser than men: And Godly weakness(the weakness of God) is stronger than are men.

26. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ വിളിയെ നോക്കുവിന് ലോകാഭിപ്രായപ്രകാരം ജ്ഞാനികള് ഏറെയില്ല, ബലവാന്മാര് ഏറെയില്ല, കുലീനന്മാരും ഏറെയില്ല.

26. Brethren look on your calling how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many of high degree are called:

27. ജ്ഞാനികളെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിപ്പാന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് ഭോഷത്വമായതു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു; ബലമുള്ളതിനെ ലജ്ജിപ്പിപ്പാന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് ബലഹീനമായതു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise. And (God) hath chosen the weak things of the world, to confound things which are mighty.

28. ഉള്ളതിനെ ഇല്ലായ്മയാക്കുവാന് ദൈവം ലോകത്തില് കുലഹീനവും നികൃഷ്ടവുമായതും ഏതുമില്ലാത്തതും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു;

28. And vile things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen yea and things of no reputation, for to bring to nought things of reputation,

29. ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് ഒരു ജഡവും പ്രശംസിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

29. that no flesh should rejoice in his presence.

30. നിങ്ങളോ അവനാല് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. അവന് നമുക്കു ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നു ജ്ഞാനവും നീതിയും ശുദ്ധീകരണവും വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.
യിരേമ്യാവു 23:5-6

30. And unto him pertain ye, in Christ Jesu, which of God is made unto us wisdom, and also righteousness, and sanctifying, and redemption.

31. “പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നവന് കര്ത്താവില് പ്രശംസിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

31. That according as it is written: he which rejoiceth, should rejoice in the Lord.
