1. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു നീ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ടു, ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ സകല കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാല് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സര്വ്വജാതികള്ക്കും മീതെ ഉന്നതമാക്കും.

1. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to take heed to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that Jehovah thy God will set thee supreme above all nations of the earth;

2. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചാല് ഈ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെല്ലാം നിനക്കു സിദ്ധിക്കുംപട്ടണത്തില് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും;

2. and all these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God.

3. വയലില് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

3. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4. നിന്റെ ഗര്ഭഫലവും കൃഷിഫലവും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ ഫലവും നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറും ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

4. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the offspring of thy kine, and the increase of thy sheep.

5. നിന്റെ കൊട്ടയും മാവു കുഴെക്കുന്ന തൊട്ടിയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

5. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

6. അകത്തു വരുമ്പോള് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും. പുറത്തു പോകുമ്പോള് നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

6. Blessed shalt thou be in thy coming in, and blessed shalt thou be in thy going out.

7. നിന്നോടു എതിര്ക്കുംന്ന ശത്രുക്കളെ യഹോവ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് തോലക്കുമാറാക്കും; അവര് ഒരു വഴിയായി നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും; ഏഴു വഴിയായി നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു ഔടിപ്പോകും.

7. Jehovah will give up, smitten before thee, thine enemies that rise up against thee; they shall come out against thee one way, and by seven ways shall they flee before thee.

8. യഹോവ നിന്റെ കളപ്പുരകളിലും നീ തൊടുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിനക്കു അനുഗ്രഹം കല്പിക്കും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു അവന് നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

8. Jehovah will command blessing on thee in thy granaries, and in all the business of thy hand; and he will bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

9. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകള് പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വഴികളില് നടന്നാല് യഹോവ നിന്നോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നെ തനിക്കു വിശുദ്ധജനമാക്കും.

9. Jehovah will establish thee unto himself a holy people as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God, and walk in his ways.

10. യഹോവയുടെ നാമം നിന്റെ മേല് വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളും കണ്ടു നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടും.

10. And all peoples of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of Jehovah, and they shall be afraid of thee.

11. നിനക്കു തരുമെന്നു യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു യഹോവ നിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായി ഗര്ഭഫലത്തിലും കന്നുകാലികളുടെ ഫലത്തിലും നിന്റെ നിലത്തിലെ ഫലത്തിലും നിനക്കു സമൃദ്ധി നലകും.

11. And Jehovah will give thee abundance of good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land that Jehovah swore unto thy fathers to give thee.

12. തക്കസമയത്തു നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്നു മഴ തരുവാനും നിന്റെ വേല ഒക്കെയും അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്റെ നല്ല ഭണ്ഡാരമായ ആകാശം തുറക്കും; നീ അനേകം ജാതികള്ക്കു വായിപ്പ കൊടുക്കും; എന്നാല് നീ വായിപ്പ വാങ്ങുകയില്ല.

12. Jehovah will open to thee his good treasure, the heavens, to give rain unto thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow.

13. ഞാന് എന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകള് കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാല് യഹോവ നിന്നെ വാലല്ല, തല ആക്കും; നീ ഉയര്ച്ച തന്നേ പ്രാപിക്കും; താഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്കയില്ല.

13. And Jehovah will make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah thy God, which I command thee this day, to keep and to do them,

14. ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളില് യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും വിട്ടു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ പിന് തുടര്ന്നു സേവിപ്പാന് നീ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ മാറരുതു.

14. and if thou turn not aside from any of the words that I command thee this day, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15. എന്നാല് നീ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു, ഞാന് ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്കാഞ്ഞാല് ഈ ശാപം ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു വന്നു ഭവിക്കും

15. But it shall come to pass if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to take heed to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day, that all these curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee.

16. പട്ടണത്തില് നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും. വയലിലും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

16. Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17. നിന്റെ കൊട്ടയും മാവുകുഴെക്കുന്ന തൊട്ടിയും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

17. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

18. നിന്റെ ഗര്ഭഫലവും കൃഷിഫലവും കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറും ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും;

18. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, the offspring of thy kine, and the increase of thy sheep.

19. അകത്തു വരുമ്പോള് നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; പുറത്തുപോകുമ്പോള് നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

19. Cursed shalt thou be in thy coming in, and cursed shalt thou be in thy going out.

20. എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികള് നിമിത്തം നീ വേഗത്തില് മുടിഞ്ഞുപേകുംവരെ നിന്റെ കൈ തൊടുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും യഹോവ ശാപവും പരിഭ്രമവും പ്രാക്കും അയക്കും.

20. Jehovah will send upon thee cursing, confusion, and rebuke, in all the business of thy hand which thou doest, until thou be destroyed and until thou perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

21. നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്നു നിന്നെ മുടിച്ചുകളയുംവരെ യഹോവ നിനക്കു മഹാമാരി പിടിപ്പിക്കും.

21. Jehovah will make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

22. ക്ഷയരോഗം, ജ്വരം, പുകച്ചല്, അത്യുഷ്ണം, വരള്ച്ച, വെണ്കതിര്, വിഷമഞ്ഞു എന്നിവയാല് യഹോവ നിന്നെ ബാധിക്കും; നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അവ നിന്നെ പിന്തുടരും.

22. Jehovah will smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with burning ague, and with drought, and with blight, and with mildew, and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

23. നിന്റെ തലെക്കു മീതെയുള്ള ആകാശം ചെമ്പും നിനക്കു കീഴുള്ള ഭൂമി ഇരിമ്പും ആകും.

23. And thy heavens which are over thy head shall be brass, and the earth which is under thee, iron.

24. യഹോവ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിലെ മഴയെ പൊടിയും പൂഴിയും ആക്കും; നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അതു ആകാശത്തില്നിന്നു നിന്റെമേല് പെയ്യും.

24. Jehovah will give as the rain of thy land powder and dust; from the heavens shall it come down upon thee until thou be destroyed.

25. ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില് യഹോവ നിന്നെ തോലക്കുമാറാക്കും. നീ ഒരു വഴിയായി അവരുടെ നേരെ ചെല്ലും; ഏഴു വഴിയായി അവരുടെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു ഔടിപ്പോകും; നീ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങള്ക്കും ഒരു ബാധയായ്തീരും.

25. Jehovah will give thee up smitten before thine enemies; thou shalt go out against them one way, and by seven ways shalt thou flee before them; and thou shalt be driven hither and thither into all the kingdoms of the earth.

26. നിന്റെ ശവം ആകാശത്തിലെ സകലപക്ഷികള്ക്കും ഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങള്ക്കും ഇര ആകും; അവയെ ആട്ടികളവാന് ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല. യഹോവ നിന്നെ മിസ്രയീമിലെ

26. And thy carcase shall be meat unto all the fowl of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and there shall be no man to scare them away.

27. പരുക്കള്, മൂലവ്യാധി, ചൊറി, ചിരങ്ങു എന്നിവയാല് ബാധിക്കും; അവ സൌഖ്യമാകുകയുമില്ല.

27. Jehovah will smite thee with the ulcers of Egypt, and with boils, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

28. ഭ്രാന്തും അന്ധതയും ചിത്തഭ്രമവുംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിന്നെ ബാധിക്കും.

28. Jehovah will smite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart;

29. കുരുടന് അന്ധതമസ്സില് തപ്പിനടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ ഉച്ചസമയത്തു തപ്പിനടക്കും. നീ പേകുന്നേടത്തെങ്ങും നിനക്കു ഗുണംവരികയില്ല; നീ എപ്പോഴും പീഡിതനും അപഹാരഗതനും ആയിരിക്കും; നിന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാന് ആരുമുണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

29. and thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways; and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled continually, and there shall be none to save.

30. നീ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹത്തിന്നു നിയമിക്കും; മറ്റൊരുത്തന് അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിക്കും. നീ ഒരു വിടു പണിയിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അതില് പാര്ക്കയില്ല. നീ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കും; ഫലം അനുഭവിക്കയില്ല.

30. Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her; thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell therein; thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not eat of it.

31. നിന്റെ കാളയെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്വെച്ചു അറുക്കും; എന്നാല് നീ അതിന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ കഴുതയെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിന്നു പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; തിരികെ കിട്ടുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ ആടുകള് ശത്രുക്കള്ക്കു കൈവശമാകും; അവയെ വിടുവിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

31. Thine ox shall be slaughtered before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof; thine ass shall be snatched away from before thy face, and shall not return to thee; thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to recover them.

32. നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരരും പുത്രിമാരും അന്യജാതിക്കു അടിമകളാകും; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ നോക്കിയിരുന്നു ക്ഷീണിക്കും; എങ്കിലും നിന്നാല് ഒന്നും സാധിക്കയില്ല.

32. Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and languish for them all the day long; and there shall be no power in thy hand [to help it].

33. നിന്റെ കൃഷിഫലവും നിന്റെ അദ്ധ്വാനമൊക്കെയും നീ അറിയാത്ത ജാതിക്കാര് അനുഭവിക്കും; നീ എല്ലാനാളും ബാധിതനും പീഡിതനും ആകും.

33. The fruit of thy ground and all thy labour, shall a people that thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed continually.

34. നിന്റെ കാണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്ന കാഴ്ചയാല് നിനക്കു ഭ്രാന്തു പിടിക്കും.

34. And thou shalt be mad through the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

35. സൌഖ്യമാകാത്ത പരുക്കളാല് യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഉള്ളങ്കാല് തുടങ്ങി നെറുകവരെ ബാധിക്കും.

35. Jehovah will smite thee in the knees and in the legs with evil ulcers, whereof thou canst not be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

36. യഹോവ നിന്നെയും നീ നിന്റെ മേല് ആക്കിയ രാജാവിനെയും നീയാകട്ടെ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരാകട്ടെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കല് പോകുമാറാക്കും; അവിടെ നീ മരവും കല്ലുമായ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ സേവിക്കും.

36. Jehovah will bring thee, and thy king whom thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation that neither thou nor thy fathers have known, and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

37. യഹോവ നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് നീ സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലിന്നും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും വിഷയമായ്തീരും.

37. And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples whither Jehovah shall lead thee.

38. നീ വളരെ വിത്തു നിലത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; എന്നാല് വെട്ടുക്കിളി തിന്നുകളകകൊണ്ടു കുറെ മാത്രം കൊയ്യും.

38. Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather little in; for the locust shall devour it.

39. നീ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങള് നട്ടു രക്ഷ ചെയ്യും; എങ്കിലും പുഴു തിന്നു കളകകൊണ്ടു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയില്ല; പഴം ശേഖരിക്കയുമില്ല.

39. Thou shalt plant and till vineyards, but shalt drink no wine, nor gather [the fruit]; for the worms shall eat it.

40. ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷങ്ങള് നിന്റെ നാട്ടില് ഒക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാകും; എങ്കിലും നീ എണ്ണ തേക്കയില്ല; അതിന്റെ പിഞ്ചു പൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

40. Olive-trees shalt thou have throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with oil; for thine olive-tree shall cast its fruit.

41. നീ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അവര് നിനക്കു ഇരിക്കയില്ല; അവര് പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.

41. Sons and daughters shalt thou beget, but thou shalt not have them [to be with thee]; for they shall go into captivity.

42. നിന്റെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും നിന്റെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഫലവും എല്ലാം പുഴു തിന്നുകളയും.

42. All thy trees and the fruit of thy ground shall the locust possess.

43. നിന്റെ ഇടയിലുള്ള പരദേശി നിനക്കു മീതെ ഉയര്ന്നുയര്ന്നു വരും; നീയോ താണുതാണുപോകും.

43. The sojourner that is in thy midst shall rise above thee higher and higher, and thou shalt sink down lower and lower.

44. അവര് നിനക്കു വായിപ്പ തരും; അവന്നു വായിപ്പ കൊടുപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവന് തലയും നീ വാലുമായിരിക്കും.

44. He shall lend to thee, but thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

45. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു അവന് നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഈ ശാപം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മേല് വരികയും നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ നിന്നെ പിന്തുര്ന്നുപിടിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

45. And all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, until thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee.

46. അവ ഒരടയാളവും അത്ഭുതവുമായി നിന്നോടും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും എന്നേക്കും പറ്റിയിരിക്കും.

46. And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

47. സകല വസ്തുക്കളുടെയും സമൃദ്ധി ഹേതുവായിട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ ഉന്മേഷത്തോടും നല്ല ഹൃദയസന്തോഷത്തോടുംകൂടെ സേവിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു

47. Because thou servedst not Jehovah thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything,

48. യഹോവ നിന്റെ നേരെ അയക്കുന്ന ശത്രുക്കളെ നീ വിശപ്പോടും ദാഹത്തോടും നഗ്നതയോടും എല്ലാഞെരുക്കത്തോടുംകൂടെ സേവിക്കും; നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കുംവരെ അവന് നിന്റെ കഴുത്തില് ഒരു ഇരിമ്പുനുകം വേക്കും.

48. thou shalt serve thine enemies whom Jehovah will send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of everything; and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

49. യഹോവ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു, ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതിയില്നിന്നു, ഒരു ജാതിയെ കഴുകന് പറന്നു വരുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെമേല് വരുത്തും. അവര് നീ അറിയാത്ത ഭാഷ പറയുന്ന ജാതി;

49. Jehovah will bring a nation against thee from afar, from the end of the earth, like as the eagle flieth, a nation whose tongue thou understandest not;

50. വൃദ്ധനെ ആദരിക്കയോ ബാലനോടു കനിവു തോന്നുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്ത ഉഗ്രമുഖമുള്ള ജാതി.

50. a nation of fierce countenance, which regardeth not the person of the old, nor is kind to the young;

51. നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അവര് നിന്റെ മൃഗഫലവും നിന്റെ കൃഷിഫലവും തിന്നും; അവര് നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കുംവരെ ധാന്യമോ വിഞ്ഞോ എണ്ണയോ നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറോ ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പോ ഒന്നും നിനക്കു ശേഷിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

51. and he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy ground, until thou be destroyed; for he shall not leave thee corn, new wine, or oil, offspring of thy kine, or increase of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.

52. നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും നീ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഉയരവും ഉറപ്പുമുള്ള മതിലുകള് വീഴുംവരെ അവര് നിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്ന നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടുവുമുള്ള നിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും അവര് നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കും.

52. And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and strong walls wherein thou trustedst come down, throughout all thy land; and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates in all thy land, which Jehovah thy God hath given thee.

53. ശത്രു നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ഗര്ഭഫലമായ പുത്രന്മാരുടെയും പുത്രിമാരുടെയും മാംസം നീ തിന്നും;

53. And in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee, thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters whom Jehovah thy God hath given thee.

54. നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ മൃദുശരീരയും മഹാസുഖഭോഗിയും ആയിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും തന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തിലെ ഭാര്യയോടും തനിക്കു ശേഷിക്കുന്ന മക്കളോടും

54. The eye of the man in thy midst that is tender and very luxurious shall be evil towards his brother, and the wife of his bosom, and the residue of his children which he hath left;

55. ലുബ്ധനായി അവരില് ആര്ക്കും താന് തിന്നുന്ന തന്റെ മക്കളുടെ മാംസത്തില് ഒട്ടും കൊടുക്കയില്ല; ശത്രു നിന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും അവന്നു ഒന്നും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല.

55. so that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children that he eateth, because he hath nothing left him in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.

56. ദേഹമാര്ദ്ദവംകൊണ്ടും കോമളത്വംകൊണ്ടും തന്റെ ഉള്ളങ്കാല് നിലത്തുവെപ്പാന് മടിക്കുന്ന തന്വംഗിയും സുഖഭോഗിനിയുമായ സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ മാര്വ്വിടത്തിലെ ഭര്ത്താവിന്നും തന്റെ മകന്നും മകള്ക്കും തന്റെ കാലുകളുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന മറുപ്പിള്ളയെയും താന് പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും കൊടുക്കാതവണ്ണം ലുബ്ധയായി

56. The eye of the tender and luxurious woman in thy midst who would not attempt to set the sole of her foot upon the ground from luxuriousness and from tenderness, shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and her son, and her daughter,

57. ശത്രു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളില് നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും സകലവസ്തുക്കളുടെയും ദുര്ല്ലഭത്വംനിമിത്തം അവള് അവരെ രഹസ്യമായി തിന്നും.

57. because of her afterbirth which hath come out between her feet, and her children whom she shall bear; for she shall secretly eat them for want of everything in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.

58. നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന മഹത്തും ഭയങ്കരവുമായ നാമത്തെ നീ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ഈ പുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ സകലവചനങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കാഞ്ഞാല്

58. If thou wilt not take heed to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, to fear this glorious and fearful name, JEHOVAH THY GOD;

59. യഹോവ നിന്റെ മേലും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെമേലും നീണ്ടുനിലക്കുന്ന അപൂര്വ്വമായ മഹാബാധകളും നീണ്ടുനിലക്കുന്ന വല്ലാത്ത രോഗങ്ങളും വരുത്തും

59. then Jehovah will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, great and persistent plagues and evil and persistent sicknesses;

60. നീ പേടിക്കുന്ന മിസ്രയീമിലെ വ്യാധികളൊക്കെയും അവന് നിന്റെമേല് വരുത്തും. അവ നിന്നെ പറ്റിപ്പിടിക്കും.

60. and he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt which thou art afraid of, and they shall cleave unto thee.

61. ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തില് എഴുതിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത

61. Also every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, them will Jehovah bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

62. സകല രോഗവും ബാധയുംകൂടെ നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ യഹോവ നിന്റെമേല് വരുത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രംപോലെ പെരുകിയിരുന്ന നിങ്ങള് നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ചുരുക്കംപേരായി ശേഷിക്കും.

62. And ye shall be left a small company, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou hast not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah thy God.

63. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ഗുണംചെയ്വാനും നിങ്ങളെ വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിപ്പാനും യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെമേല് പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കുവാനും യഹോവ പ്രസാദിച്ചു, നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാന് ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ പറിച്ചുകളയും.

63. And it shall come to pass, that as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so Jehovah will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whereunto thou goest to possess it.

64. യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഒരറ്റംമുതല് മറ്റെഅറ്റംവരെ സര്വ്വജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയില് ചിതറിക്കും; അവിടെ നീയും നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്തവയായി മരവും കല്ലുംകൊണ്ടുള്ള അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നീ സേവിക്കും.

64. And Jehovah will scatter thee among all peoples, from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and thou shalt there serve other gods, whom thou hast not known, neither thou nor thy fathers, wood and stone.

65. ആ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത കിട്ടുകയില്ല; നിന്റെ കാലിന്നു വിശ്രാമസ്ഥലം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവിടെ യഹോവ നിനക്കു വിറെക്കുന്ന ഹൃദയവും മങ്ങുന്ന കണ്ണും നിരാശയുള്ള മനസ്സും തരും.

65. And among these nations shalt thou have no rest, neither shall the sole of thy foot have a resting-place, and Jehovah shall give thee there a trembling heart, languishing of the eyes, and pining of the soul.

66. നിന്റെ ജീവന് നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് തൂങ്ങിയിരിക്കും; രാവും പകലും നീ പേടിച്ചു പാര്ക്കും; പ്രാണഭയം നിന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറുകയില്ല.

66. And thy life shall hang in suspense before thee; and thou shalt be in terror day and night and shalt be afraid of thy life.

67. നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് നീ പേടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പേടി നിമിത്തവും നീ കണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്ന കാഴ്ചനിമിത്തവും നേരം വെളുക്കുമ്പോള്സന്ധ്യ ആയെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നും സന്ധ്യാകാലത്തുനേരം വെളുത്തെങ്കില് കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നും നീ പറയും.

67. In the morning thou shalt say, Would that it were even! and in the evening thou shalt say, Would that it were morning! through the fright of thy heart wherewith thou shalt be in terror, and through the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

68. നീ ഇനി കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ വഴിയായി യഹോവ നിന്നെ കപ്പല് കയറ്റി മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവിടെ നിങ്ങളെ ശത്രുക്കള്ക്കു അടിയാരും അടിയാട്ടികളുമായി വില്പാന് നിര്ത്തും; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളെ വാങ്ങുവാന് ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

68. And Jehovah will bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt see it again no more; and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and there shall be no man to buy [you].
