1. ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താല് ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനായ പൌലോസും സഹോദരനായ തിമൊഥെയോസും കൊലൊസ്സ്യയിലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധന്മാരും ക്രിസ്തുവില് വിശ്വസ്ത സഹോദരന്മാരുമായവര്ക്കും എഴുതുന്നതു

1. Paul an Apostle of Iesus Christ, by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,

2. നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കല് നിന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

2. To them which are at Colosse, Saintes and faithfull brethren in Christ: Grace bee with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.

3. സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ സത്യവചനത്തില് നിങ്ങള് മുമ്പു കേട്ടതായി സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു സംഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രത്യാശനിമിത്തം,

3. We giue thankes to God euen ye Father of our Lord Iesus Christ, alway praying for you:

4. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവില് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തെയും സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാരോടും നിങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ള സ്നേഹത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ഞങ്ങള് കേട്ടിട്ടു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കയില് എപ്പോഴും

4. Since wee heard of your faith in Christ Iesus, and of your loue toward all Saintes,

5. നമ്മുടെ കര്ത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

5. For the hopes sake, which is laide vp for you in heauen, whereof yee haue heard before by the word of trueth, which is the Gospel,

6. ആ സുവിശേഷം സര്വലോകത്തിലും എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങുടെ അടുക്കലും എത്തി; നിങ്ങള് ദൈവകൃപയെ യഥാര്ത്ഥമായി കേട്ടറിഞ്ഞ നാള്മുതല് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് എന്നപോലെ സര്വ്വലോകത്തിലും ഫലം കായിച്ചും വര്ദ്ധിച്ചും വരുന്നു.

6. Which is come vnto you, eue as it is vnto al the world, and is fruitful, as it is also amog you, from ye day that ye heard and truely knew ye grace of God,

7. ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങള് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയ സഹഭൃത്യനായ എപ്പഫ്രാസിനോടു പഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; അവന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്ത ശുശ്രൂഷകനും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ആത്മാവിനാലുള്ള സ്നേഹം ഞങ്ങളോടു അറിയിച്ചവനും ആകുന്നു.

7. As yee also learned of Epaphras our deare fellowe seruaunt, which is for you a faithfull minister of Christ:

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള് അതു കേട്ട നാള് മുതല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ഇടവിടാതെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

8. Who hath also declared vnto vs your loue in the Spirit.

9. നിങ്ങള് പൂര്ണ്ണപ്രസാദത്തിന്നായി കര്ത്താവിന്നു യോഗ്യമാകുംവണ്ണം നടന്നു, ആത്മികമായ സകല ജ്ഞാനത്തിലും വിവേകത്തിലും അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടത്തിന്റെ പരിജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞുവരേണം എന്നും സകല സല്പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും ഫലം കായിച്ചു ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തില് വളരേണമെന്നും

9. For this cause wee also, since the day wee heard of it, cease not to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be fulfilled with knowledge of his will in all wisdome, and spirituall vnderstanding,

10. സകല സഹിഷ്ണുതെക്കും ദീര്ഘക്ഷമെക്കുമായി അവന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ വല്ലഭത്വത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം പൂര്ണ്ണശക്തിയോടെ ബലപ്പെടേണമെന്നും

10. That ye might walke worthy of the Lord, and please him in all things, being fruitefull in all good workes, and increasing in the knowledge of God,

11. വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും വെളിച്ചത്തിലുള്ള അവകാശത്തിന്നായി നമ്മെ പ്രാപ്തന്മാരാക്കുകയും

11. Strengthened with all might through his glorious power, vnto all patience, and long suffering with ioyfulnesse,

12. നമ്മെ ഇരുട്ടിന്റെ അധികാരത്തില് നിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു തന്റെ സ്നേഹസ്വരൂപനായ പുത്രന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിലാക്കിവെക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത പിതാവിന്നു സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നവരാകേണം എന്നും അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

12. Giuing thankes vnto the Father, which hath made vs meete to be partakers of the inheritance of the Saintes in light,

13. അവനില് നമുക്കു പാപമോചനമെന്ന വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു ഉണ്ടു.

13. Who hath deliuered vs from the power of darkenesse, and hath translated vs into the kingdome of his deare Sonne,

14. അവന് അദൃശ്യനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമയും സര്വ്വസൃഷ്ടിക്കും ആദ്യജാതനും ആകുന്നു. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ളതും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളതും ദൃശ്യമായതും അദൃശ്യമായതും സിംഹാസനങ്ങള് ആകട്ടെ കര്ത്തൃത്വങ്ങള് ആകട്ടെ വാഴ്ചകള് ആകട്ടെ അധികാരങ്ങള്ആകട്ടെ സകലവും അവന് മുഖാന്തരം സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; അവന് മുഖന്തരവും അവന്നായിട്ടും സകലവും സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. In whome we haue redemption through his blood, that is, the forgiuenesse of sinnes,

15. അവന് സര്വ്വത്തിന്നും മുമ്പെയുള്ളവന് ; അവന് സകലത്തിന്നും ആധാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. Who is the image of the inuisible God, the first begotten of euery creature.

16. അവന് സഭ എന്ന ശരീരത്തിന്റെ തലയും ആകുന്നു; സകലത്തിലും താന് മുമ്പനാകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ആരംഭവും മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയില് നിന്നു ആദ്യനായി എഴുന്നേറ്റവനും ആകുന്നു.
സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങൾ 16:4

16. For by him were all things created, which are in heauen, and which are in earth, thinges visible and inuisible: whether they be Thrones or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers, all things were created by him, and for him,

17. അവനില് സര്വ്വസമ്പൂര്ണ്ണതയും വസിപ്പാനും
സദൃശ്യവാക്യങ്ങൾ 8:22-25

17. And hee is before all things, and in him all things consist.

18. അവന് ക്രൂശില് ചൊരിഞ്ഞ രക്തം കൊണ്ടു അവന് മുഖാന്തരം സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളതോ സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ളതോ സകലത്തെയും അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നോടു നിരപ്പിപ്പാനും പിതാവിന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി.

18. And hee is the head of the body of the Church: he is the beginning, and the first begotten of the dead, that in all thinges hee might haue the preeminence.

19. മുമ്പെ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികളാല് മനസ്സുകൊണ്ടു അകന്നവരും ശത്രുക്കളുമായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങളെ

19. For it pleased the Father, that in him should all fulnesse dwell,

20. അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് വിശുദ്ധരും നിഷ്കളങ്കരും കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരുമായി നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന് ഇപ്പോള് തന്റെ ജഡശരീരത്തില് തന്റെ മരണത്താല് നിരപ്പിച്ചു.

20. And through peace made by that blood of that his crosse, to reconcile to himselfe through him, through him, I say, all thinges, both which are in earth, and which are in heauen.

21. ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴെ സകല സൃഷ്ടികളുടെയും ഇടയില് ഘോഷിച്ചും പൌലോസ് എന്ന ഞാന് ശുശ്രൂഷകനായിത്തീര്ന്നും നിങ്ങള് കേട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്ന സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയില്നിന്നു നിങ്ങള് ഇളകാതെ അടിസ്ഥാനപ്പെട്ടവരും സ്ഥിരതയുള്ളവരുമായി വിശ്വാസത്തില് നിലനിന്നുകൊണ്ടാല് അങ്ങനെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പില് നിലക്കും.

21. And you which were in times past strangers and enemies, because your mindes were set in euill workes, hath he nowe also reconciled,

22. ഇപ്പോള് ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള കഷ്ടാനുഭവങ്ങളില് സന്തോഷിച്ചു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കഷ്ടങ്ങളില് കുറവായുള്ളതു എന്റെ ജഡത്തില് സഭയായ അവന്റെ ശരീരത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി പൂരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

22. In that body of his flesh through death, to make you holy, and vnblameable and without fault in his sight,

23. നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി ദൈവം എനിക്കു നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗപ്രകാരം ദൈവവചനഘോഷണം നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് സഭയുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷകനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. If ye continue, grounded and stablished in the faith, and be not moued away from the hope of the Gospel, whereof ye haue heard, and which hath bene preached to euery creature which is vnder heauen, whereof I Paul am a minister.

24. അതു പൂര്വ്വകാലങ്ങള്ക്കും തലമുറകള്ക്കും മറഞ്ഞുകിടന്ന മര്മ്മം എങ്കിലും ഇപ്പോള് അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാര്ക്കും വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. Now reioyce I in my suffrings for you, and fulfill the rest of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh, for his bodies sake, which is the Church,

25. അവരോടു ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ഈ മര്മ്മത്തിന്റെ മഹിമാധനം എന്തെന്നു അറിയിപ്പാന് ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഇഷ്ടമായി; ആ മര്മ്മം മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയായ ക്രിസ്തു നിങ്ങളില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു തന്നേ.

25. Whereof I am a minister, according to the dispensation of God, which is giuen mee vnto you ward, to fulfill the word of God,

26. അവനെ ഞങ്ങള് അറിയിക്കുന്നതില് ഏതു മനുഷ്യനെയും ക്രിസ്തുവില് തികഞ്ഞവനായി നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ഏതു മനുഷ്യനെയും പ്രബോധിപ്പിക്കയും ഏതു മനുഷ്യനോടും സകല ജ്ഞാനത്തോടും കൂടെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

26. Which is the mysterie hid since the world began, and from all ages, but nowe is made manifest to his Saintes,

27. അതിന്നായി ഞാന് എന്നില് ബലത്തോടെ വ്യാപരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ വ്യാപാരശക്തിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം പോരാടിക്കൊണ്ടു അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കുന്നു.

27. To whome God woulde make knowen what is the riches of his glorious mysterie among the Gentiles, which riches is Christ in you, the hope of glory,
