1. Go to now ye rich men. Weep, and howl on your wretchedness that shall come upon you.

9. Grudge not one against another brethren, lest ye be dampned. Behold the judge standeth before the door.

10. Take (my brethren) the prophets for an ensample of suffering adversity, and of long patience, which spake in the name of the Lord.

12. But above all things my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by earth, neither by any other oath. Let your saying be yea yea, and nay nay:(Let your yea be yea, and your nay nay) lest ye fall(faule) into hypocrisy.

13. നിങ്ങളില് കഷ്ടമനുഭവിക്കുന്നവന് പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കട്ടെ; സുഖം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവന് പാട്ടു പാടട്ടെ.

13. Is there any among of you that is evil vexed? let him pray. Is there any among you that is merry? let him sing psalms.(If any of you be evil vexed, let him pray. If any of you be merry, let him sing Psalms.)

14. നിങ്ങളില് ദീനമായി കിടക്കുന്നവന് സഭയിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ വരുത്തട്ടെ. അവര് കര്ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില് അവനെ എണ്ണ പൂശി അവന്നു വേണ്ടി പ്രാര്ത്ഥിക്കട്ടെ.

14. Is there any man(If any be) diseased among you? Let him call for the seniors(elders) of the congregation, and let them pray over him, and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15. and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up: and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
