1. യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ ഔഹരി തെക്കെദേശത്തിന്റെ തെക്കെ അറ്റത്തു എദോമിന്റെ അതിരായ സീന് മരുഭൂമിവരെ തന്നേ.

1. Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.

2. അവരുടെ തെക്കെ അതിര് ഉപ്പുകടലിന്റെ അറ്റംമുതല് തെക്കോട്ടു നീണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഇടക്കടല്മുതല്തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു.

2. Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:

3. അതു അക്രബ്ബീംകയറ്റത്തിന്നു തെക്കോട്ടു ചെന്നു സീനിലേക്കു കടന്നു കാദേശ് ബര്ന്നേയയുടെ തെക്കു കൂടി കയറി ഹെസ്രോന് കടന്നു ആദാരിലേക്കു കയറി കാര്ക്കയിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു

3. From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:

4. അസ്മോനിലേക്കു കടന്നു മിസ്രയീംതോടുവരെ ചെല്ലുന്നു; ആ അതിര് സമുദ്രത്തിങ്കല് അവസാനിക്കുന്നു; ഇതു നിങ്ങളുടെ തെക്കെ അതിര് ആയിരിക്കേണം.

4. Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.

5. കിഴക്കെ അതിര് യോര്ദ്ദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖംവരെ ഉപ്പുകടല് തന്നേ; വടക്കെ അതിര് യോര്ദ്ദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖമായ

5. And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:

6. ഇടക്കടല് തുടങ്ങി ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ളയിലേക്കു കയറി ബേത്ത്-അരാബയുടെ വടക്കുകൂടി കടന്നു, രൂബേന്റെ മകനായ ബോഹാന്റെ കല്ലുവരെ കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.

6. Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;

7. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് ആഖോര്താഴ്വരമുതല് ദെബീരിലേക്കു കയറി വടക്കോട്ടു തോട്ടിന്റെ തെക്കുവശത്തുള്ള അദുമ്മീംകയറ്റത്തിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള ഗില്ഗാലിന്നു ചെന്നു ഏന് -ശേമെശ് വെള്ളത്തിങ്കലേക്കു കടന്നു ഏന് -രോഗേലിങ്കല് അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

7. Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:

8. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് ബെന് -ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്വരയില്കൂടി കയറി യെരൂശലേം എന്ന യെബൂസ്യഗിരിയുടെ തെക്കോട്ടു കടന്നു ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയുടെ മുമ്പില് പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടും രെഫായീംതാഴ്വരയുടെ അറ്റത്തു വടക്കോട്ടും ഉള്ള മലയുടെ മുകളിലേക്കു കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.

8. Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:

9. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് മലയുടെ മുകളില്നിന്നു നെപ്തോഹയിലെ നീരുറവിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു എഫ്രോന് മലയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങള്വരെ ചെന്നു കിര്യ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്ന ബാലയിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നു.

9. And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):

10. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് ബാലാമുതല് പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു സേയീര്മലവരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു കെസാലോന് എന്ന യെയാരീംമലയുടെ പാര്ശ്വംവരെ വടക്കോട്ടു കടന്നു, ബേത്ത്-ശേമെശിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങി തിമ്നയിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുന്നു.

10. Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:

11. പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് വടക്കോട്ടു എക്രോന്റെ പാര്ശ്വംവരെ ചെന്നു ശിക്രോനിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു ബാലാമലയിലേക്കു കടന്നു യബ്നേലില് ചെന്നു സമുദ്രത്തിങ്കല് അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

11. And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.

12. പടിഞ്ഞാറെ അതിര് നെടുകെ മഹാസമുദ്രം തന്നേ; ഇതു യെഹൂദാമക്കള്ക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അതിര്.

12. And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.

13. യഹോവ യോശുവയോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവന് യെഫുന്നെയുടെ മകനായ കാലേബിന്നു യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ ഇടയില് ഔഹരിയായിട്ടു അനാക്കിന്റെ അപ്പനായ അര്ബ്ബയുടെ പട്ടണമായ ഹെബ്രോന് കൊടുത്തു.

13. And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.

14. അവിടെനിന്നു കാലേബ് അനാക്കിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ശേശായി, അഹീമാന് , തല്മായി എന്നീ മൂന്നു അനാക്യരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

14. And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.

15. അവിടെനിന്നു അവന് ദെബീര്നിവാസികളുടെ നേരെ ചെന്നു; ദെബീരിന്റെ പേര് മുമ്പെ കിര്യ്യത്ത്-സേഫെര് എന്നായിരുന്നു.

15. From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)

16. കിര്യ്യത്ത്-സേഫെര് ജയിക്കുന്നവന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ മകള് അക്സയെ ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുക്കും എന്നു കാലേബ് പറഞ്ഞു.

16. And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.

17. കാലേബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ കെനസിന്റെ മകന് ഒത്നീയേല് അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു; അവന് തന്റെ മകള് അക്സയെ അവന്നു ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുത്തു.

17. And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.

18. അവള് വന്നാറെ തന്റെ അപ്പനോടു ഒരു നിലം ചോദിപ്പാന് അവനെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ചു; അവള് കഴുതപ്പുറത്തുനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിയപ്പോള് കാലേബ് അവളോടുനിനക്കു എന്തു വേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

18. Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?

19. എനിക്കു ഒരു അനുഗ്രഹം തരേണം; നീ എന്നെ തെക്കെ ദേശത്തേക്കല്ലോ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു; നീരുറവുകളെയുംകൂടെ എനിക്കു തരേണം എന്നു അവള് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു അവന് അവള്ക്കു മലയിലും താഴ്വരയിലും നീരുറവുകളെ കൊടുത്തു.

19. And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.

20. യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം ഇതത്രേ.

20. This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.

21. എദോമിന്റെ അതിര്ക്കരികെ തെക്കെ അറ്റത്തു യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിന്നുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങള്

21. The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;

22. കെബ്സെയേല്, ഏദെര്, യാഗൂര്,

22. And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;

23. കീന, ദിമോന, അദാദ, കേദെശ്,

23. And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;

24. ഹാസോര്, യിത്നാന് , സീഫ്, തേലെം,

24. Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;

25. ബയാലോത്ത്, ഹാസോര്, ഹദത്ഥ, കെരീയോത്ത്-ഹാസോര്, എന്ന കെരീയോത്ത്--ഹെസ്രോന് ,

25. And Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (which is Hazor);

26. അമാം, ശെമ, മോലാദ,

26. Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;

27. ഹസര്-ഗദ്ദ, ഹെശ്മോന് , ബേത്ത്-പേലെത്,

27. And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;

28. ഹസര്-ശൂവാല്, ബേര്-ശേബ, ബിസോത്യ,

28. And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;

29. ബാല, ഇയ്യീം, ഏസെം,

29. Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;

30. എല്തോലദ്, കെസീല്, ഹോര്മ്മ,

30. And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;

31. സിക്ളാഗ്, മദ്മന്ന, സന് സന്ന,

31. And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;

32. ലെബായോത്ത, ശില്ഹീം, ആയിന് , രിമ്മോന് ; ഇങ്ങനെ ആകെ ഇരുപത്തൊമ്പതു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ.

32. And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.

33. താഴ്വീതിയില് എസ്തായോല്, സൊരാ,

33. In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;

34. അശ്ന, സനോഹ, ഏന് -ഗന്നീം, തപ്പൂഹ,

34. And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;

35. ഏനാം, യര്മ്മൂത്ത്, അദുല്ലാം, സോഖോ,

35. Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;

36. അസേക്ക, ശാരയീം, അദീഥയീം, ഗെദേരാ, ഗെദെരോഥയീം;

36. And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.

37. ഇങ്ങനെ പതിനാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും; സെനാന് ,

37. Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;

38. ഹദാശ, മിഗ്ദല്-ഗാദ്, ദിലാന് , മിസ്പെ, യൊക്തെയേല്,

38. And Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;

39. ലാഖിശ്, ബൊസ്കത്ത്,

39. Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;

40. എഗ്ളോന് , കബ്ബോന് , ലപ്മാസ്, കിത്ത്ളീശ്,

40. And Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;

41. ഗെദേരോത്ത്, ബേത്ത്-ദാഗോന് , നാമ, മക്കേദ; ഇങ്ങനെ പതിനാറു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാങ്ങളും;

41. And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.

42. ലിബ്ന, ഏഥെര്, ആശാന് ,

42. Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;

43. യിപ്താഹ്, അശ്ന, നെസീബ്,

43. And Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;

44. കെയില, അക്ളീബ്, മാരേശ; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒമ്പതു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

44. And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine towns with their unwalled places.

45. എക്രോനും അതിന്റെ അധീനനഗരങ്ങളും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

45. Ekron, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places;

46. എക്രോന് മുതല് സമുദ്രംവരെ അസ്തോദിന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ളവ ഒക്കെയും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

46. From Ekron to the sea, all the towns by the side of Ashdod, with their unwalled places.

47. അസ്തോദും അതിന്റെ അധീനനഗരങ്ങളും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഗസ്സയും മിസ്രയീംതോടുവരെയുള്ള അതിന്റെ അധീനനഗരങ്ങളും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും; മഹാസമുദ്രം അതിന്നു നെടുകെ അതിരായിരുന്നു.

47. Ashdod, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places; Gaza, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places, to the stream of Egypt, with the Great Sea as a limit.

48. മലനാട്ടില് ശാമീര്, യത്ഥീര്, സോഖോ,

48. And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;

49. ദന്ന, ദെബീര് എന്ന കിര്യ്യത്ത്-സന്ന,

49. And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (which is Debir);

50. അനാബ്, എസ്തെമോ, ആനീം, ഗോശെന് ,

50. And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;

51. ഹോലോന് , ഗീലോ; ഇങ്ങനെ പതിനൊന്നുപട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

51. And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven towns with their unwalled places.

52. അരാബ്, ദൂമ, എശാന് ,

52. Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan;

53. യാനീം, ബേത്ത്-തപ്പൂഹ, അഫേക്ക, ഹുമ്ത,

53. And Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;

54. ഹെബ്രോന് എന്ന കിര്യ്യത്ത്-അര്ബ്ബ, സീയോര് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒമ്പതു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും.

54. And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (which is Hebron), and Zior; nine towns with their unwalled places.

55. മാവോന് , കര്മ്മോല്, സീഫ്, യൂത,

55. Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah;

56. യിസ്രെയേല്, യോക്ക് ദെയാം, സാനോഹ,

56. And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;

57. കയീന് , ഗിബെയ, തിമ്ന; ഇങ്ങനെ പത്തു പട്ടണവും

57. Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten towns with their unwalled places.

58. അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും; ഹല്ഹൂല് ബേത്ത്--സൂര്

58. Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;

59. ഗെദോര്, മാരാത്ത്, ബേത്ത്-അനോത്ത്, എല്തെക്കോന് ; ഇങ്ങനെ ആറു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

59. And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six towns with their unwalled places.

60. കിര്യ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്ന കിര്യ്യത്ത്-ബാല്, രബ്ബ; ഇങ്ങനെ രണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

60. Kiriath-baal (which is Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two towns with their unwalled places.

61. മരുഭൂമിയില് ബേത്ത്-അരാബ,

61. In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;

62. മിദ്ദീന് , സെഖാഖ, നിബ്ശാന് , ഈര്-ഹമേലഹ്, ഏന് -ഗെദി; ഇങ്ങനെ ആറു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും.

62. And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.

63. യെരൂശലേമില് പാര്ത്തിരുന്ന യെബൂസ്യരെയോ യെഹൂദാമക്കള്ക്കു നീക്കിക്കളവാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അങ്ങനെ യെബൂസ്യര് ഇന്നുവരെ യെഹൂദാമക്കളോടുകൂടെ യെരൂശലേമില് പാര്ത്തുവരുന്നു.

63. And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.
