1. അനന്തരം ഒരു ദൂതന് അഗാധത്തിന്റെ താക്കോലും ഒരു വലിയ ചങ്ങലയും കയ്യില് പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു.

1. And I saw a messenger, coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain upon his hand;

2. അവന് പിശാചും സാത്താനും എന്നുള്ള പഴയ പാമ്പായ മഹാസര്പ്പത്തെ പിടിച്ചു ആയിരം ആണ്ടേക്കു ചങ്ങലയിട്ടു.

2. and he laid hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is Adversary and the Accuser, and bound him for a thousand years,

3. ആയിരം ആണ്ടു കഴിയുവോളം ജാതികളെ വഞ്ചിക്കാതിരിപ്പാന് അവനെ അഗാധത്തില് തള്ളിയിട്ടു അടെച്ചുപൂട്ടുകയും മീതെ മുദ്രയിടുകയും ചെയ്തു. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവനെ അല്പകാലത്തേക്കു അഴിച്ചു വിടേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

3. and cast him into the abyss, and fastened and sealed it over him, that he might not deceive the nations any more, until the thousand years, should be ended: after these, must he be loosed for a short time.

4. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and sentence of judgment was given unto them; and I saw the souls of them who had been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus and because of the word of God, and such as had not done homage unto the wild-beast or unto his image, nor had received the mark upon their forehead or upon their hand; and they lived and reigned with the Christ, for a thousand years.

5. The rest of the dead, lived not, until the thousand years, were ended. This, is the first resurrection.

6. ഇതു ഒന്നാമത്തെ പുനരുത്ഥാനം. ഒന്നാമത്തെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തില് പങ്കുള്ളവന് ഭാഗ്യവാനും വിശുദ്ധനും ആകുന്നു; അവരുടെ മേല് രണ്ടാം മരണത്തിന്നു അധികാരം ഇല്ല; അവര് ദൈവത്തിന്നും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നും പുരോഹിതന്മാരായി ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരം ആണ്ടു വാഴും.

6. Happy and holy, is he that hath part in the first resurrection: upon these, the second death, hath no authority; but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him for the thousand years.

7. And, as soon as the thousand years, shall be ended, the Accuser shall be loosed out of his prison,

8. and will go forth to deceive the nations that are in the four corners of the earth, the Gog and Magog, to gather them together unto the battle the number of whom, is as the sand of the sea.
