1. അനന്തരം സ്വര്ഗ്ഗത്തില് ഒരു വാതില് തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാന് കണ്ടു; കാഹളനാദംപോലെ എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചു കേട്ട ആദ്യത്തെ ശബ്ദം എന്നോടുഇവിടെ കയറിവരിക; മേലാല് സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതു ഞാന് നിനക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരാം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

1. After this I looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up here, and I will show thee things which must be after this.

2. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and [one] sat on the throne.

3. And he that sat was in appearance like a jasper and a sardius stone: and [there was] a rainbow around the throne, in sight like an emerald.

4. സിംഹാസനത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റിലും ഇരുപത്തുനാലു സിംഹാസനം; വെള്ളയുടുപ്പു ധരിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു സിംഹാസനങ്ങളില് ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഇരുപത്തുനാലു മൂപ്പന്മാര്; അവരുടെ തലയില് പൊന് കിരീടം;

4. And around the throne [were] four and twenty thrones: and upon the thrones I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6. And in front of the throne [there was] a sea of glass like crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, [were] four living beings full of eyes before and behind.

7. And the first living being [was] like a lion, and the second living being like a calf, and the third living being had a face as a man, and the fourth living being [was] like a flying eagle.

8. നാലു ജീവികളും ഒരോന്നിന്നു ആറാറു ചിറകുള്ളതായി ചുറ്റിലും അകത്തും കണ്ണു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇരിക്കുന്നവനും ഇരുന്നവനും വരുന്നവനുമായി സര്വ്വശക്തിയുള്ള കര്ത്താവായ ദൈവം പരിശുദ്ധന് , പരിശുദ്ധന് , പരിശുദ്ധന് എന്നു അവര് രാപ്പകല് വിശ്രമം കൂടാതെ പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. And the four living beings had each of them six wings about [him]; and [they were] full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.

9. And when those living beings give glory and honour and thanks to him that is seated on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10. The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11. കര്ത്താവേ, നീ സര്വ്വവും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനും എല്ലാം നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംഹേതുവാല് ഉണ്ടായതും സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടതും ആകയാല് മഹത്വവും ബഹുമാനവും ശക്തിയും കൈക്കൊള്വാന് യോഗ്യന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടു തങ്ങളുടെ കിരീടങ്ങളെ സിംഹാസനത്തിന് മുമ്പില് ഇടും.

11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
