1. എന്നാല് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്നുള്ളതൊക്കെയും യാക്കോബ് എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ വകകൊണ്ടു അവന് ഈ ധനം ഒക്കെയും സമ്പാദിച്ചു എന്നു ലാബാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര് പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകളെ അവന് കേട്ടു.

1. And he heard the words of the sons of Laban, saying, Jacob has taken away all that was to our father, and from that which was to our father he has gotten all this wealth.

2. യാക്കോബ് ലാബാന്റെ മുഖത്തു നോക്കിയാറെ അതു തന്റെ നേരെ മുമ്പെ ഇരുന്നതു പോലെ അല്ല എന്നു കണ്ടു.

2. And Jacob saw the face of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.

3. അപ്പോള് യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനോടുനിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കും നിന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കും മടങ്ങിപ്പോക; ഞാന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

3. And Jehovah said to Jacob, Go back to the land of your fathers and to your kindred. And I will be with you.

4. യാക്കോബ് ആളയച്ചു റാഹേലിനേയും ലേയയെയും വയലില് തന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വിളിപ്പിച്ചു.

4. And Jacob sent and called for Rachel and for Leah to come to the field, to his flocks.

5. അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ മുഖം എന്റെ നേരെ മുമ്പെപ്പോലെ അല്ല എന്നു ഞാന് കാണുന്നു; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവം എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

5. And he said to them, I see your father's face, that it is not toward me as before. But the God of my father has been with me.

6. നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനെ ഞാന് എന്റെ സര്വ്വബലത്തോടും കൂടെ സേവിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നെ അറിയാമല്ലോ.

6. And you know that with all my power I have served your father.

7. നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനോ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു എന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം പത്തു പ്രാവശ്യം മാറ്റി; എങ്കിലും എന്നോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്വാന് ദൈവം അവനെ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല.

7. And your father has cheated me and has changed my wages ten times. And God has not let him do evil to me.

8. പുള്ളിയുള്ളവ നിന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കില് കൂട്ടമൊക്കെയും പുള്ളിയുള്ള കുട്ടികളെ പെറ്റു; വരയുള്ളവ നിന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു എങ്കില് കൂട്ടമൊക്കെയും വരയുള്ള കുട്ടികളെ പെറ്റു.

8. And if he said this: The speckled shall be your wages, then all the flocks bore speckled. And if he said this, The striped shall be your wages, then all the flocks bore striped.

9. ഇങ്ങനെ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെ എടുത്തു എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. And God has taken away the livestock of your father and has given to me.

10. ആടുകള് ചനയേലക്കുന്ന കാലത്തു ഞാന് സ്വപ്നത്തില് ആടുകളിന്മേല് കയറുന്ന മുട്ടാടുകള് വരയും പുള്ളിയും മറുവും ഉള്ളവ എന്നു കണ്ടു.

10. And it happened at the time the flock was in heat, I lifted up my eyes and saw in a dream: And behold! The rams leaping on the flock were striped, speckled, and spotted.

11. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദൂതന് സ്വപ്നത്തില് എന്നോടുയാക്കോബേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു; ഞാന് ഇതാ, എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു.

11. And the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, Jacob! And I said, Behold me.

12. അപ്പോള് അവന് നീ തലപൊക്കി നോക്കുക; ആടുകളുടെ മേല് കയറുന്ന മുട്ടാടുകള് ഒക്കെയും വരയും പുള്ളിയും മറുവുമുള്ളവയല്ലോ; ലാബാന് നിന്നോടു ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

12. And He said, Lift up your eyes and see all the rams leaping on the flock; they are striped, speckled and spotted. For I have seen all that Laban is doing to you.

13. നീ തൂണിനെ അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്കയും എന്നോടു നേര്ച്ചനേരുകയും ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ബേഥേലിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു ഞാന് ; ആകയാല് നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റ, ഈ ദേശംവിട്ടു നിന്റെ ജന്മദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. I am the God of Bethel, there where you anointed the pillar, where you vowed a vow to Me. Now rise up; go out of this land and go back to the land of your kindred.

14. റാഹേലും ലേയയും അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുഅപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില് ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇനി ഔഹരിയും അവകാശവും ഉണ്ടോ?

14. And Rachel and Leah answered and said to him, Is there yet to us a portion and an inheritance in the house of our father?

15. അവന് ഞങ്ങളെ അന്യരായിട്ടല്ലയോ വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു? ഞങ്ങളെ വിറ്റു വിലയും എല്ലാം തിന്നു കളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

15. Are we not counted strangers by him. For he has sold us, and selling he has sold us for silver.

16. ദൈവം ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞ സമ്പത്തൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങള്ക്കും ഞങ്ങളുടെ മക്കള്ക്കും ഉള്ളതല്ലോ; ആകയാല് ദൈവം നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തുകൊള്ക.

16. For all the wealth which God has taken from our father, it is for us and for our sons. And now all that which God has said to you, do.

17. അങ്ങനെ യാക്കോബ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു തന്റെ ഭാര്യമാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി.

17. And Jacob arose and set his sons and his wives on camels.

18. തന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളെ ഒക്കെയും താന് സമ്പാദിച്ച സമ്പത്തു ഒക്കെയും താന് പദ്ദന് -അരാമില് സമ്പാദിച്ച മൃഗസമ്പത്തു ഒക്കെയും ചേര്ത്തുകൊണ്ടു കനാന് ദേശത്തു തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പോകുവാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

18. And he drove all the livestock, and he took all his goods which he had gotten, livestock of his property which he had gotten in Padan-aram, to come to his father Isaac, to the land of Canaan.

19. ലാബാന് തന്റെ ആടുകളെ രോമം കത്രിപ്പാന് പോയിരുന്നു; റാഹേല് തന്റെ അപ്പന്നുള്ള ഗൃഹവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു.

19. And Laban went to shear his sheep. And Rachel stole the household idols which were her father's.

20. താന് ഔടിപ്പോകുന്നതു യാക്കോബ് അരാമ്യനായ ലാബാനോടു അറിയിക്കായ്കയാല് അവനെ തോല്പിച്ചായിരുന്നു പോയതു.

20. And Jacob deceived the heart of Laban the Syrian, for he did not tell him that he was about to flee.

21. ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് തനിക്കുള്ള സകലവുമായി ഔടിപ്പോയി; അവന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു നദി കടന്നു. ഗിലെയാദ് പര്വ്വതത്തിന്നു നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞു.

21. And he and all that was to him fled. And he rose up and crossed the River and set his face to Mount Gilead.

22. യാക്കോബ് ഔടിപ്പോയി എന്നു ലാബാന്നു മൂന്നാം ദിവസം അറിവു കിട്ടി.

22. And on the third day Laban was told that Jacob had fled.

23. ഉടനെ അവന് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ഏഴു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി അവനെ പിന്തുടര്ന്നു ഗിലെയാദ് പര്വ്വതത്തില് അവനോടു ഒപ്പം എത്തി.

23. And he took his brothers with him and pursued him, seven days journey. And he overtook him in Mount Gilead.

24. എന്നാല് ദൈവം രാത്രി സ്വപ്നത്തില് അരാമ്യനായ ലാബാന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു അവനോടുനീ യാക്കോബിനോടു ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും പറയാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

24. And God came to Laban the Syrian in a dream of the night, and said to him, Watch out for yourself, that you not speak with Jacob from good to evil.

25. ലാബാന് യാക്കോബിനോടു ഒപ്പം എത്തി; യാക്കോബ് പര്വ്വതത്തില് കൂടാരം അടിച്ചിരുന്നു; ലാബാനും തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുമായി ഗിലെയാദ് പര്വ്വതത്തില് കൂടാരം അടിച്ചു.

25. And Laban overtook Jacob. And Jacob had pitched his tent at the Mount. And Laban with his brothers had pitched at Mount Gilead.

26. ലാബാന് യാക്കോബിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതുനീ എന്നെ ഒളിച്ചു പോയ്ക്കളകയും എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ വാളാല് പിടിച്ചവരെപ്പോലെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്തതു എന്തു?

26. And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done? And you have deceived my heart and have taken my daughters like captives of the sword.

27. നീ എന്നെ തോല്പിച്ചു രഹസ്യമായിട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോകയും ഞാന് സന്തോഷത്തോടും സംഗീതത്തോടും മുരജത്തോടും വീണയോടുംകൂടെ നിന്നെ അയപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ അറിയിക്കാതിരിക്കയും

27. Why did you hide so as to flee, and have deceived me and have not told me. And I would have sent you away with rejoicing and with music, with tabret and with harp.

28. എന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ചുംബിപ്പാന് എനിക്കു ഇടതരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? ഭോഷത്വമാകുന്നു നീ ചെയ്തതു.

28. And you have not let me kiss my sons and my daughters. Now you have been foolish to do this.

29. നിങ്ങളോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്വാന് എന്റെ പക്കല് ശക്തിയുണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും നീ യാക്കോബിനോടു ഗുണമെങ്കിലും ദോഷമെങ്കിലും ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ക എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവം കഴിഞ്ഞ രാത്രി എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

29. It is in the power of my hand to do you harm. But the God of your fathers spoke to me last night, saying, Watch out for yourself that you do not speak with Jacob from good to evil.

30. ആകട്ടെ, നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്നായുള്ള അതിവാഞ്ഛയാല് നീ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോന്നു; എന്നാല് എന്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചതു എന്തിന്നു?

30. And now surely you have gone because you have longed after your father's house. Why have you stolen my gods?

31. യാക്കോബ് ലാബാനോടുപക്ഷെ നിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ നീ എന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു അപഹരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന് ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.

31. And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid. For I said, Lest by force you take your daughters from me.

32. എന്നാല് നീ ആരുടെ പക്കല് എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ദേവന്മാരെ കണ്ടാല് അവന് ജീവനോടിരിക്കരുതു; എന്റെ പക്കല് നിന്റെ വക വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു നീ നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരന്മാര് കാണ്കെ നോക്കി എടുക്ക എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. റാഹേല് അവയെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചതു യാക്കോബ് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

32. With whomever you find your gods, he shall not live before our brothers here. See for yourself what is with me, and take it to you. For Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen them.

33. അങ്ങനെ ലാബാന് യാക്കോബിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിലും ലേയയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിലും രണ്ടു ദാസിമാരുടെ കൂടാരത്തിലും ചെന്നു നോക്കി, ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല താനും; അവന് ലേയയുടെ കൂടാരത്തില് നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി റാഹേലിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില് ചെന്നു.

33. And Laban went into Jacob's tent and into Leah's tent, and into the tent of the two slave-girls; and he did not find. And he went out of Leah's tent and came into Rachel's tent.

34. എന്നാല് റാഹേല് വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ എടുത്തു ഒട്ടകക്കോപ്പിനകത്തു ഇട്ടു അതിന്മേല് ഇരിക്കയായിരുന്നു. ലാബാന് കൂടാരത്തില് ഒക്കെയും തിരഞ്ഞു നോക്കി, കണ്ടില്ല താനും.

34. And Rachel had taken the household idols and put them into the camel's saddle; and she sat on them. And Laban felt around all the tent, but did not find.

35. അവള് അപ്പനോടുയജമാനന് കോപിക്കരുതേ; നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എഴുന്നേല്പാന് എനിക്കു കഴിവില്ല; സ്ത്രീകള്ക്കുള്ള മുറ എനിക്കു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവന് ശോധന കഴിച്ചു; ഗൃഹവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ കണ്ടില്ല താനും.

35. And she said to her father, Let no anger be in the eyes of my lord, for I am not able to rise before your face, for the way of women is to me. And he searched for and did not find the household idols.

36. അപ്പോള് യാക്കോബിന്നു കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു, അവന് ലാബാനോടു വാദിച്ചു. യാക്കോബ് ലാബാനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാല്എന്റെ കുറ്റം എന്തു? നീ ഇത്ര ഉഗ്രതയോടെ എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഔടി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ തെറ്റു എന്തു?

36. And Jacob was angry, and he argued with Laban. And Jacob answered and said to Laban, What is my transgression; what my sin that you have hotly pursued me?

37. നീ എന്റെ സാമാനം ഒക്കെയും ശോധന കഴിച്ചുവല്ലോ; നിന്റെ വീട്ടിലെ സാമാനം വല്ലതും കണ്ടുവോ? എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര്ക്കും മുമ്പാകെ ഇവിടെ വെക്കുക; അവര് നമുക്കിരുവര്ക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ വിധിക്കട്ടെ.

37. For you have felt around all my articles; what have you found from all the articles of your house? Set it here before my brothers and your brothers and let them decide between the two of us.

38. ഈ ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം ഞാന് നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് പാര്ത്തു; നിന്റെ ചെമ്മരിയാടുകള്ക്കും കോലാടുകള്ക്കും ചനനാശം വന്നിട്ടില്ല. നിന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ആട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരെ ഞാന് തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ല.

38. Now I was with you twenty years. Your ewes and your she-goats have not failed to bear, and I have not eaten the rams of your flock.

39. ദുഷ്ടമൃഗം കടിച്ചുകീറിയതിനെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരാതെ ഞാന് അതിന്നു ഉത്തരവാദിയായിരുന്നു; പകല് കളവു പോയതിനെയും രാത്രി കളവുപോയതിനെയും നീ എന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

39. I did not bring to you the mangled; I replaced it. From my hand you exacted it, that stolen by day and that stolen by night.

40. ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു എന്റെ വസ്തുത; പകല് വെയില്കൊണ്ടും രാത്രി ശീതംകൊണ്ടും ഞാന് ക്ഷയിച്ചു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു ഉറക്കമില്ലാതെയായി.

40. I was there; by day the heat consumed me, and the cold by night. And my sleep fled from my eyes.

41. ഈ ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം ഞാന് നിന്റെ വീട്ടില് പാര്ത്തു; പതിന്നാലു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രിമാര്ക്കായിട്ടും ആറു സംവത്സരം നിന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തിന്നായിട്ടും നിന്നെ സേവിച്ചു; പത്തു പ്രാവശ്യം നീ എന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം മാറ്റി.

41. Now I have been twenty years in your house; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flock. And you have changed my wages ten times.

42. എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവമായി അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ഭയവുമായവന് എനിക്കു ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നു എങ്കില് നീ ഇപ്പോള് എന്നെ വെറുതെ അയച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രയത്നവും കണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞ രാത്രി ന്യായം വിധിച്ചു.

42. Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been for me, truly now you would have sent me away empty. God has seen my affliction and the toil of my hand, and last night He judged.

43. ലാബാന് യാക്കോബിനോടുപുത്രിമാര് എന്റെ പുത്രിമാര്, മക്കള് എന്റെ മക്കള്, ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടം എന്റെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടം; നീ കാണുന്നതൊക്കെയും എനിക്കുള്ളതു തന്നേ; ഈ എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരോടോ അവര് പ്രസവിച്ച മക്കളോടോ ഞാന് ഇന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യും?

43. And Laban answered and said to Jacob, The daughters are my daughters and the sons my sons. And the flocks are my flocks; yea, all which you see, it is mine and my daughters'. What can I do to these today, or to their sons whom they have borne?

44. ആകയാല് വരിക, ഞാനും നീയും തമ്മില് ഒരു ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്ക; അതു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

44. And now come, let us cut a covenant, you and me; and let it be a witness between you and me.

45. അപ്പോള് യാക്കോബ് ഒരു കല്ലു എടുത്തു തൂണായി നിര്ത്തി.

45. And Jacob took a stone and set it up as a memorial.

46. കല്ലു കൂട്ടുവിന് എന്നു യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് കല്ലു എടുത്തു ഒരു കൂമ്പാരമുണ്ടാക്കി; കൂമ്പാരത്തിന്മേല് വെച്ചു അവര് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു.

46. And Jacob said to his brothers, Gather stones. And they took stones and they made a memorial pillar.

47. ലാബാന് അതിന്നു യെഗര്-സഹദൂഥാ (സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ കൂമ്പാരം) എന്നു പേരിട്ടു; യാക്കോബ് അതിന്നു ഗലേദ് (സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്റെ കൂമ്പാരം) എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

47. And Laban called it, Heap of the Testimony. And Jacob called it in Hebrew, Heap of Testimony.

48. ഈ കൂമ്പാരം ഇന്നു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ സാക്ഷി എന്നു ലാബാന് പറഞ്ഞു. അതുകൊണ്ടു അതിന്നു ഗലേദ് എന്നും മിസ്പാ (കാവല് മാടം) എന്നും പോരായി

48. And Laban said, This heap is a witness between you and between me today; so he called its name Heap of Testimony;

49. നാം തമ്മില് അകന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോള് യഹോവ എനിക്കും നിനക്കും നടുവെ കാവലായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

49. also, Watchtower; for he said, May Jehovah watch between you and me, for we are hidden, when we are out of sight, each from his neighbor.

50. നീ എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കയോ എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെയല്ലാതെ വേറെ സ്ത്രീകളെ പരിഗ്രഹിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുമെങ്കില് നമ്മോടുകൂടെ ആരും ഇല്ല; നോക്കുക, ദൈവം തന്നേ എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ സാക്ഷി എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

50. If you will not afflict my daughters, and if you will not take wives above my daughters, no man is with us. Behold! God is a witness between you and me.

51. ലാബാന് പിന്നെയും യാക്കോബിനോടുഇതാ, ഈ കൂമ്പാരം; ഇതാ, എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ നിര്ത്തിയ തൂണ്.

51. And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold the pillar which I have set between you and me.

52. ദോഷത്തിന്നായി ഞാന് ഈ കൂമ്പാരം കടന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരാതെയും നീ ഈ കൂമ്പാരവും ഈ തൂണും കടന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കല് വരാതെയും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ കൂമ്പാരവും സാക്ഷി, ഈ തൂണും സാക്ഷി.

52. This heap is a witness, and the pillar is a testimony. As for me, I will not pass over this heap to you; and as for you, you will not pass over this heap and this pillar for evil to me.

53. അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും നാഹോരിന്റെ ദൈവവും അവരുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവവുമായവന് നമുക്കു മദ്ധ്യേ വിധിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യാക്കോബ് തന്റെ പിതാവായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ഭയമായവനെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്തു.

53. The God of Abraham, the God of Nahor, the God of their father, let judge between us. And Jacob swore by the Fear of his father Isaac.

54. പിന്നെ യാക്കോബ് പര്വ്വതത്തില് യാഗം അര്പ്പിച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാന് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു; അവര് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു പര്വ്വതത്തില് രാപാര്ത്തു.

54. And Jacob sacrificed a sacrifice on the mountain, and called his brothers to eat bread. And they ate bread and lodged on the mountain.

55. ലാബാന് അതി കാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ചുംബിക്കയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്തശേഷം അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു സ്വദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

55. And Laban rose up early in the morning and kissed his sons and his daughters and blessed them. And Laban went away and returned to his own place.
