1. യഹോവ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും അടക്കി രാജാവിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയശേഷം രാജാവു തന്റെ അരമനയില് വസിക്കുംകാലത്തു

1. And it came to pass when the king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him an inheritance on every side [free] from all his enemies round about him;

2. ഒരിക്കല് രാജാവു നാഥാന് പ്രവാചകനോടുഇതാ, ഞാന് ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള അരമനയില് വസിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകമോ തിരശ്ശീലെക്കകത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2. that the king said to Nathan the prophet, Behold now, I live in a house of cedar, and the ark of the Lord dwells in the midst of a tent.

3. നാഥാന് രാജാവിനോടുനീ ചെന്നു നിന്റെ മനസ്സിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുകൊള്ക; യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3. And Nathan said to the king, Go and do all that [is] in your heart, for the Lord [is] with you.

4. എന്നാല് അന്നു രാത്രി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു നാഥാന്നു ഉണ്ടായതു എന്തെന്നാല്

4. And it came to pass in that night, that the word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying,

5. എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ ചെന്നു പറകയഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അധിവസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എനിക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയുമോ?

5. Go, and say to My servant David, Thus says the Lord, You shall not build Me a house to dwell in.

6. ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീമില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച നാള്മുതല് ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാന് ഒരു ആലയത്തില് അധിവസിക്കാതെ കൂടാരത്തിലും നിവാസത്തിലുമല്ലോ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവരുന്നതു.

6. For I have not dwelt in a house from the day that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt to this day, but I have been walking in a lodge and in a tent,

7. എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ മേയ്പാന് ഞാന് കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ യിസ്രായേല് ഗോത്രങ്ങളില് ഒന്നിനോടു എനിക്കു ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയാതിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടുംകൂടെ ഞാന് സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളില് എവിടെ വെച്ചെങ്കിലും ഒരു വാക്കു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

7. wheresoever I went with all Israel. Have I ever spoken to any of the tribes of Israel, which I commanded to tend My people Israel, saying, Why have you not built Me a house of Cedar?

8. ആകയാല് നീ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാല്സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഎന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്മേല് പ്രഭുവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് നിന്നെ പുല്പുറത്തു നിന്നു ആടുകളെ നോക്കിനടക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ എടുത്തു.
2 കൊരിന്ത്യർ 6:18

8. And now thus shall you say to My servant David: Thus says the Lord Almighty, I took you from the sheepfold, that you should be a prince over My people, over Israel.

9. നീ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന എല്ലായിടത്തും ഞാന് നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള മഹാന്മാരുടെ പേര് പോലെ ഞാന് നിന്റെ പേര് വലുതാക്കും.

9. And I was with you wherever you went, and I destroyed all your enemies before you, and I made you renowned according to the renown of the great ones on the earth.

10. ഞാന് എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഒരു സ്ഥലം കല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവര് സ്വന്തസ്ഥലത്തു പാര്ത്തു അവിടെനിന്നു ഇളകാതിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ നടുകയും ചെയ്യും. പണ്ടത്തെപ്പോലെയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഞാന് ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ കാലത്തെപ്പോലെയും ഇനി ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

10. And I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and I will plant them, and they shall dwell by themselves, and shall be distressed no longer; and the son of iniquity shall afflict them no longer, as he [has done] from the beginning,

11. ഞാന് നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും അടക്കി നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത നലകും. അത്രയുമല്ല, യഹോവ നിനക്കു ഒരു ഗൃഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

11. from the days when I appointed judges over My people Israel: and I will give you rest from all your enemies, and the Lord declares to you, that He shall build you a house.

12. നിന്റെ ഉദരത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന സന്തതിയെ നിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം തികഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ നീ നിദ്രകൊള്ളുമ്പോള് ഞാന് നിനക്കു പിന്തുടര്ച്ചയായി സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുകയും അവന്റെ രാജത്വം ഉറപ്പാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

12. And it shall come to pass when your days have been fulfilled, and you sleep with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, even from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom.

13. അവന് എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയും; ഞാന് അവന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

13. He shall build for Me a house for My name, and I will set up his throne, even forever.

14. ഞാന് അവന്നു പിതാവും അവന് എനിക്കു പുത്രനും ആയിരിക്കും; അവന് കുറ്റം ചെയ്താല് ഞാന് അവനെ മനുഷ്യരുടെ വടികൊണ്ടും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അടികൊണ്ടും ശിക്ഷിക്കും.

14. I will be to him a father, and he shall be to Me a son. And when he happens to transgress, then will I chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the sons of men.

15. എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഞാന് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ ശൌലിങ്കല്നിന്നു ഞാന് എന്റെ ദയ നീക്കിയതുപോലെ അതു അവങ്കല്നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല.

15. But My mercy I will not take from him, as I took it from those whom I removed from My presence.

16. നിന്റെ ഗൃഹവും നിന്റെ രാജത്വവും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും; നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനവും എന്നേക്കും ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കും.
ലൂക്കോസ് 1:32-33

16. And his house shall be made sure, and his kingdom forever before Me, and his throne shall be established forever.

17. ഈ സകലവാക്കുകള്ക്കും ദര്ശനത്തിന്നും ഒത്തവണ്ണം നാഥാന് ദാവീദിനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു.

17. According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

18. അപ്പോള് ദാവീദ്രാജാവു അകത്തു ചെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് ഇരുന്നു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്നെ ഇത്രത്തോളം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന് ഞാന് ആര്? എന്റെ ഗൃഹവും എന്തുള്ളു?

18. Then King David came in, and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord, my Lord, and what [is] my house, that You have loved me [like] this?

19. കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, ഇതും പോരാ എന്നു നിനക്കു തോന്നീട്ടു വരുവാനുള്ള ദീര്ഘകാലത്തേക്കു അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, ഇതു മനുഷ്യര്ക്കും ഉപദേശമല്ലോ?

19. Whereas I was very little before You, O Lord, my Lord, yet You spoke concerning the house of Your servant for a long time [to come]. And [is] this the law of man, O Lord, my Lord?

20. ദാവീദ് ഇനി നിന്നോടു എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ അടിയനെ അറിയുന്നു.

20. And what shall David yet say to You? And now You know Your servant, O Lord, my Lord.

21. നിന്റെ വചനംനിമിത്തവും നിന്റെ പ്രസാദപ്രകാരവും അല്ലോ നീ ഈ വന് കാര്യം ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തു അടിയനെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു.

21. And You have wrought for Your servant's sake, and according to Your heart You have brought about all this greatness, to make it known to Your servant,

22. അതുകൊണ്ടു കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ വലിയവന് ആകുന്നു; നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല; ഞങ്ങള് സ്വന്തചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടതൊക്കെയും ഔര്ത്താല് നീ അല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

22. that he may magnify You, O my Lord; for there is none like You, and there is no God but You among all of whom we have heard with our ears.

23. നിനക്കു ജനമായി വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനും നിനക്കു ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിപ്പാനും നീ ചെന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു തുല്യമായി ഭൂമിയില് ഏതൊരു ജാതിയുള്ളു? ദൈവമേ, നീ മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നും ജാതികളുടെയും അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരുടെയും കൈവശത്തുനിന്നും നിനക്കായി വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജനം കാണ്കെ അവര്ക്കുംവേണ്ടി വന് കാര്യവും അവരുടെ ദേശത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി ഭയങ്കരകാര്യങ്ങളും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

23. And what other nation in the earth [is] like Your people Israel? Whereas God was his guide, to redeem for Himself a people, to make for Himself a name, to do mightily and nobly, so that You should cast out nations and [their] tabernacles from the presence of Your people, whom You redeemed for Yourself out of Egypt?

24. നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും ജനമായിരിപ്പാന് നീ നിനക്കായി സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തി, യഹോവേ, നീ അവര്ക്കും ദൈവമായ്തീര്ന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

24. And You have prepared for Yourself Your people Israel, to be a people forever, and You, O Lord, have become their God.

25. ഇപ്പോഴും കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ അടിയനെയും അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനത്തെ എന്നേക്കും ഉറപ്പാക്കി അരുളപ്പാടുപോലെ ചെയ്യേണമേ.

25. And now, O my Lord, the Almighty Lord God of Israel, confirm the word forever which You have spoken concerning Your servant and his house: and now as You have said,

26. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ദൈവം എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും മഹത്വീകരിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഗൃഹം നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ സ്ഥരിമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

26. Let Your name be magnified forever.

27. ഞാന് നിനക്കു ഒരു ഗൃഹം പണിയുമെന്നു നീ അടിയന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, നിന്നോടു ഈ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കഴിപ്പാന് അടിയന് ധൈര്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

27. Almighty Lord God of Israel, You have uncovered the ear of Your servant, saying, I will build you a house: therefore Your servant has found [in] his heart to pray this prayer to You.

28. കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ തന്നേ ദൈവം; നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങള് സത്യം ആകുന്നു; അടിയന്നു ഈ നന്മയെ നീ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

28. And now, O Lord my Lord, You are God; and Your words will be true, and You have spoken these good things concerning Your servant.

29. ആകയാല് അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹം തിരുമുമ്പില് എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ; കര്ത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ അങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; നിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താല് അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹം എന്നേക്കും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

29. And now begin and bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You; for You, O Lord, my Lord, have spoken, and the house of Your servant shall be blessed with Your blessing, so as to continue forever.
