1. I hate my own life, so I will complain freely. I am very bitter, so now I will speak.

2. ഞാന് ദൈവത്തോടു പറയുംഎന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കരുതേ; എന്നോടു വ്യവഹരിപ്പാന് സംഗതി എന്തു? എന്നെ അറിയിക്കേണമേ.

2. I will say to God: 'Don't just say I am guilty! Tell me what you have against me.

3. പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ കൈപ്പണിയെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കുന്നതും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ആലോചനയില് പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നതും നിനക്കു യോഗ്യമോ?

9. Remember, you molded me like clay. Will you turn me into clay again?

10. നീ എന്നെ പാലുപോലെ പകര്ന്നു തൈര്പോലെ ഉറകൂടുമാറാക്കിയല്ലോ.

10. You poured me out like milk. You spun me around and squeezed me like someone making cheese.

11. ത്വക്കും മാംസവും നീ എന്നെ ധരിപ്പിച്ചു; അസ്ഥിയും ഞരമ്പുംകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ മടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. You put me together with bones and muscles, and then you clothed me with skin and flesh.

12. ജീവനും കൃപയും നീ എനിക്കു നല്കി; നിന്റെ കടാക്ഷം എന്റെ ശ്വാസത്തെ പരിപാലിക്കുന്നു.

12. You gave me life and were very kind to me. You cared for me and watched over my spirit.

13. എന്നാല് നീ ഇതു നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചു; ഇതായിരുന്നു നിന്റെ താല്പര്യം എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.

13. But this is what you hid in your heart. Now I know what you were planning for me.

14. ഞാന് പാപം ചെയ്താല് നീ കണ്ടു വെക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അകൃത്യം നീ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുന്നതുമില്ല.

14. If I sinned, you would be watching me so that you could punish me for doing wrong.

15. ഞാന് ദുഷ്ടനെങ്കില് എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; നീതിമാനായിരുന്നാലും ഞാന് തല ഉയര്ത്തേണ്ടതല്ല; ലജ്ജാപൂര്ണ്ണനായി ഞാന് എന്റെ കഷ്ടത കാണുന്നു.

15. If I sin, I am guilty and should be cursed. But even when I am innocent, I cannot lift up my head. I am so ashamed because of all the troubles I have.

16. തല ഉയര്ത്തിയാല് നീ ഒരു സിംഹംപോലെ എന്നെ നായാടും. പിന്നെയും എങ്കല് നിന്റെ അത്ഭുതശക്തി കാണിക്കുന്നു.

16. If I have any success and feel proud, you hunt me down like a lion and show your power over me.

17. നിന്റെ സാക്ഷികളെ നീ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും എന്റെ നേരെ നിര്ത്തുന്നു; നിന്റെ ക്രോധം എന്റെമേല് വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവ ഗണംഗണമായി വന്നു പൊരുതുന്നു.

17. You bring witness after witness to prove that I am wrong. Again and again you show your anger as you send army after army against me.

18. നീ എന്നെ ഗര്ഭപാത്രത്തില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചതെന്തിന്നു? ഒരു കണ്ണും എന്നെ കാണാതെ എന്റെ പ്രാണന് പോകുമായിരുന്നു.

18. So why did you let me be born? I wish I had died before anyone saw me.

19. ഞാന് ജനിക്കാത്തതുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; ഗര്ഭപാത്രത്തില്നിന്നു എന്നെ ശവകൂഴിയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകുമായിരുന്നു;
