1. അതിന്നു ശൂഹ്യനായ ബില്ദാദ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and sayd,

2. ആധിപത്യവും ഭയങ്കരത്വവും അവന്റെ പക്കല് ഉണ്ടു; തന്റെ ഉന്നതസ്ഥലങ്ങളില് അവന് സമാധാനം പാലിക്കുന്നു.

2. Power and feare is with him, that maketh peace in his hie places.

3. അവന്റെ സൈന്യങ്ങള്ക്കു സംഖ്യയുണ്ടോ? അവന്റെ പ്രകാശം ആര്ക്കും ഉദിക്കാതെയിരിക്കുന്നു?

3. Is there any nomber in his armies? and vpon whom shall not his light arise?

4. മര്ത്യന് ദൈവസന്നിധിയില് എങ്ങനെ നീതിമാനാകും? സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിച്ചവന് എങ്ങനെ നിര്മ്മലനാകും?

4. And howe may a man be iustified with God? or how can he be cleane, that is borne of woman?

5. ചന്ദ്രന്നുപോലും ശോഭയില്ലല്ലോ; നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും തൃക്കണ്ണിന്നു ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവയല്ല.

5. Behold, he wil giue no light to the moone, and the starres are vncleane in his sight.

6. പിന്നെ പുഴുവായിരിക്കുന്ന മര്ത്യനും കൃമിയായിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനും എങ്ങനെ?

6. How much more man, a worme, euen the sonne of man, which is but a worme?
