1. ഇതിനാല് എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വിറെച്ചു തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു പാളിപ്പോകുന്നു.

1. At this also my heart is troubled, and moved out of its place.

2. അവന്റെ നാദത്തിന്റെ മുഴക്കവും അവന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന ഗര്ജ്ജനവും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേള്പ്പിന് .

2. Hear a report by the anger of the Lord's wrath, and a discourse shall come out of His mouth.

3. അവന് അതു ആകാശത്തിന് കീഴിലൊക്കെയും അതിന്റെ മിന്നല് ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളവും അയക്കുന്നു.

3. His dominion is under the whole heaven, and His light is at the extremities of the earth.

4. അതിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ഒരു മുഴക്കം കേള്ക്കുന്നു; അവന് തന്റെ മഹിമാനാദംകൊണ്ടു ഇടമുഴക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാദം കേള്ക്കുമ്പോള് അവയെ തടുക്കുന്നില്ല.

4. After Him shall be a cry with a loud voice; He shall thunder with the voice of His excellency, yet He shall not cause men to pass away, for one shall hear His voice.

5. ദൈവം തന്റെ നാദം അതിശയമായി മുഴക്കുന്നു; നുമുകൂ ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത മഹാകാര്യങ്ങളെ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

5. The Mighty One shall thunder wonderfully with His voice: for He has done great things which we knew not;

6. അവന് ഹിമത്തോടുഭൂമിയില് പെയ്യുക എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; അവന് മഴയോടും വമ്പിച്ച പെരുമഴയോടും കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

6. for He says to the snow, Fall on the earth, and the stormy rain, and the storm of the showers of His might.

7. താന് സൃഷ്ടിച്ച മനുഷ്യരൊക്കെയും അറിവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം അവന് സകലമനുഷ്യരുടെയും കൈ മുദ്രയിടുന്നു.

7. He seals up the hand of every man, that every man may know his own weakness.

8. കാട്ടുമൃഗം ഒളിവിടത്തു ചെന്നു തന്റെ ഗുഹയില് കിടക്കുന്നു.

8. And the wild beasts come in under the covert, and rest in their lair.

9. ദക്ഷിണമണ്ഡലത്തില്നിന്നു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റും ഉത്തരദിക്കില്നിന്നു കുളിരും വരുന്നു.

9. Troubles come on out of the secret chambers, and cold from the mountain tops.

10. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശ്വാസംകൊണ്ടു നീര്ക്കട്ട ഉളവാകുന്നു; വെള്ളങ്ങളുടെ വിശാലത ഉറെച്ചു പോകുന്നു.

10. And from the breath of the Mighty One He will send frost; and He guides the water in whatever way He pleases.

11. അവന് കാര്മ്മേഘത്തെ ഈറംകൊണ്ടു കനപ്പിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ മിന്നലുള്ള മേഘത്തെ പരത്തുന്നു.

11. And if a cloud obscures what is precious to Him, His light will disperse the cloud.

12. അവന് അവയോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉപരിഭാഗത്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ ആദേശപ്രകാരം അവ ചുറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

12. And He will carry round the encircling clouds by His governance, to perform their works: whatsoever He shall command them,

13. ശിക്ഷെക്കായിട്ടോ ദേശത്തിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായിട്ടോ ദയെക്കായിട്ടോ അവന് അതു വരുത്തുന്നു.

13. this has been appointed by Him on the earth, whether for correction, or for His land, or if He shall find him [an object] for mercy.

14. ഇയ്യോബേ, ഇതു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊള്ക; മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

14. Listen to this, O Job: stand still, and be admonished of the power of the Lord.

15. ദൈവം അവേക്കു കല്പന കൊടുക്കുന്നതും തന്റെ മേഘത്തിലെ മിന്നല് പ്രകാശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും എങ്ങനെ എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ?

15. We know that God has disposed His works, having made light out of darkness.

16. മേഘങ്ങളുടെ ആക്കത്തൂക്കവും ജ്ഞാനസമ്പൂര്ണ്ണനായവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ?

16. And He knows the divisions of the clouds, and the signal overthrows of the ungodly.

17. തെന്നിക്കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു ഭൂമി അനങ്ങാതിരിക്കുമ്പോള് നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്നു ചൂടുണ്ടാകുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

17. But your robe is warm, and there is quiet upon the land.

18. ലോഹദര്പ്പണംപോലെ ഉറപ്പുള്ള ആകാശത്തെ നിനക്കു അവനോടുകൂടെ വിടര്ത്തു വെക്കുമോ?

18. Will you establish with Him foundations for the ancient heavens? They are [as] strong as a cast iron mirror.

19. അവനോടു എന്തു പറയേണമെന്നു ഞങ്ങള്ക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചു തരിക; അന്ധകാരംനിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങളള്ക്കു ഒന്നും പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് കഴിവില്ല.

19. Therefore teach me what shall we say to Him? And let us cease from saying much.

20. എനിക്കു സംസാരിക്കേണം എന്നു അവനോടു ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണമോ? നാശത്തിന്നിരയായ്തീരുവാന് ആരാനും ഇച്ഛിക്കുമോ?

20. Have I a book or a scribe by me, that I may stand and put man to silence?

21. ഇപ്പോള് ആകാശത്തില് വെളിച്ചം ശോഭിക്കുന്നതു കാണുന്നില്ല; എങ്കിലും കാറ്റു കടന്നു അതിനെ തെളിവാക്കുന്നു.

21. But the light is not visible to all: it shines afar off in the heavens, as that which is from Him in the clouds.

22. വടക്കുനിന്നു സ്വര്ണ്ണശോഭപോലെ വരുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും ഭയങ്കരതേജസ്സുണ്ടു.

22. From the north come the clouds shining like gold: in these are the glory and honor of the Almighty;

23. സര്വ്വശക്തനെയോ നാം കണ്ടെത്തുകയില്ല; അവന് ശക്തിയില് അത്യുന്നതനാകുന്നു; അവന് ന്യായത്തിന്നും പൂര്ണ്ണനീതിക്കും ഭംഗം വരുത്തുന്നില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര് അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; ജ്ഞാനികളെന്നു ഭാവിക്കുന്നവരെ അവന് കടാക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല.

23. and we do not find another His equal in strength: as for Him that judges justly, do you not think that He listens?
