1. അനന്തരം യഹോവ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റില് നിന്നു ഇയ്യോബിനോടു ഉത്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Then spake the LORD unto Job out of the storm, and said:

2. അറിവില്ലാത്ത വാക്കുകളാല് ആലോചനയെ ഇരുളാക്കുന്നോരിവനാര്?

2. What is he that hideth his mind with foolish words?

3. നീ പുരുഷനെപ്പോലെ അര മുറുക്കികൊള്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും; എന്നോടു ഉത്തരം പറക.
ലൂക്കോസ് 12:35

3. Gird up thy loins like a man, for I will question thee, see thou give me a direct answer.

4. ഞാന് ഭൂമിക്കു അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടപ്പോള് നീ എവിടെയായിരുന്നു? നിനക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കില് പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

4. Where wast thou, when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell plainly if thou hast understanding.

5. അതിന്റെ അളവു നിയമിച്ചവന് ആര്? നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ? അല്ല, അതിന്നു അളവുനൂല് പിടിച്ചവനാര്?

5. Who hath measured it, knowest thou? Or, who hath spread the line upon it?

6. പ്രഭാതനക്ഷത്രങ്ങള് ഒന്നിച്ചു ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കയും ദൈവപുത്രന്മാരെല്ലാം സന്തോഷിച്ചാര്ക്കുംകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള്

6. Where upon stand(stode) the pillars of it? Or, who laid the corner stone?

7. അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനം ഏതിന്മേല് ഉറപ്പിച്ചു? അല്ല, അതിന്റെ മൂലക്കല്ലിട്ടവന് ആര്?

7. Where wast thou, when the morning stars praised me together, and all the children(angels) of God rejoiced triumphantly?

8. ഗര്ഭത്തില്നിന്നു എന്നപോലെ സമുദ്രം ചാടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള് അതിനെ കതകുകളാല് അടെച്ചവന് ആര്?

8. Who shut the sea with doors, when it brake forth as a child out of his mother's womb?

9. അന്നു ഞാന് മേഘത്തെ അതിന്നു ഉടുപ്പും കൂരിരുളിനെ അതിന്നു ചുറ്റാടയും ആക്കി;

9. When I made the clouds to be a covering for it, and swaddled it with the dark?

10. ഞാന് അതിന്നു അതിര് നിയമിച്ചു കതകും ഔടാമ്പലും വെച്ചു.

10. When I gave it my commandment, making doors and bars for it,

11. ഇത്രത്തോളം നിനക്കുവരാം; ഇതു കടക്കരുതു; ഇവിടെ നിന്റെ തിരമാലകളുടെ ഗര്വ്വം നിലെക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

11. saying: Hither to shalt thou come, but no further, and here shalt thou lay down thy proud and high waves.

12. ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ അതില്നിന്നു കുടഞ്ഞുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നും

12. Hast thou given the morning his charge (as soon as thou wast born) and shewed the day spring his place,

13. നിന്റെ ജീവകാലത്തൊരിക്കലെങ്കിലും നീ പ്രഭാതത്തിന്നു കല്പന കൊടുക്കയും അരുണോദയത്തിന്നു സ്ഥലം ആദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

13. that it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and that the ungodly might be shaken out?

14. അതു മുദ്രെക്കു കീഴിലെ അരകൂപോലെ മാറുന്നു; വസ്ത്രംപോലെ ആസകലം വിളങ്ങിനിലക്കുന്നു.

14. Their tokens and weapons hast thou turned like clay, and set them up again as the changing of a garment.

15. ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കും വെളിച്ചം മുടങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; ഔങ്ങിയ ഭുജവും ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

15. Yea thou hast spoiled the ungodly of their light, and broken the arm of the proud.

16. നീ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുകളോളം ചെന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ആഴിയുടെ ആഴത്തില് സഞ്ചരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

16. Camest thou ever into the ground of the sea: or hast thou walked in the low corners of the deep?

17. മരണത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകള് നിനക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? അന്ധതമസ്സിന്റെ വാതിലുകളെ നീ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

17. Have the gates of death been open unto thee, or hast thou seen the door of everlasting treasure?

18. ഭൂമിയുടെ വിശാലത നീ ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ? ഇതൊക്കെയും അറിയുന്നുവെങ്കില് പ്രസ്താവിക്ക.

18. Hast thou also perceived how broad the earth is? Now if thou hast knowledge of all,

19. വെളിച്ചം വസിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കുള്ള വഴി ഏതു? ഇരുളിന്റെ പാര്പ്പിടവും എവിടെ?

19. then shew me where light dwelleth, and where darkness is:

20. നിനക്കു അവയെ അവയുടെ അതിരോളം കൊണ്ടുപോകാമോ? അവയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കുള്ള പാത അറിയാമോ?

20. that thou mayest bring us unto their quarters, if thou canst tell the way to their houses.

21. നീ അന്നേ ജനിച്ചിരുന്നുവല്ലോ; നിനക്കു ആയുസ്സു ഒട്ടും കുറവല്ലല്ലോ; നീ അതു അറിയാതിരിക്കുമോ?

21. Knowest thou (when thou wast born) how old thou shouldest be?

22. നീ ഹിമത്തിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തോളം ചെന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ? കന്മഴയുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരം നീ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

22. Wentest thou ever into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the secret places of the hail,

23. ഞാന് അവയെ കഷ്ടകാലത്തേക്കും പോരും പടയുമുള്ള നാളിലേക്കും സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

23. which I have prepared against the time of trouble, against the time of battle and war?(warre)

24. വെളിച്ചം പിരിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതും കിഴക്കന് കാറ്റു ഭൂമിമേല് വ്യാപിക്കുന്നതും ആയ വഴി ഏതു?

24. By what way is the light parted, and the heat dealt out upon the earth?

25. നിര്ജ്ജനദേശത്തും ആള് പാര്പ്പില്ലാത്ത മരുഭൂമിയിലും മഴ പെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

25. Who divideth the abundance of waters into rivers, or who maketh a way for the stormy weather,

26. തരിശും ശൂന്യവുമായ നിലത്തിന്റെ ദാഹം തീര്ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഇളമ്പുല്ലു മുളെപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

26. that it watereth and moistureth the dry and barren ground:

27. ജലപ്രവാഹത്തിന്നു ചാലും ഇടിമിന്നലിന്നു പാതയും വെട്ടിക്കൊടുത്തതാര്?

27. to make the grass grow in places where no body dwelleth, and in the wilderness where no man remaineth?

28. മഴെക്കു അപ്പനുണ്ടോ? അല്ല, മഞ്ഞുതുള്ളികളെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചതാര്?

28. Who is the father of rain? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

29. ആരുടെ ഗര്ഭത്തില്നിന്നു ഹിമം പുറപ്പെടുന്നു? ആകാശത്തിലെ നീഹാരത്തെ ആര് പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു?

29. Out of whose womb came the ice? Who hath gendered the coldness of the air?

30. വെള്ളം കല്ലുപോലെ ഉറെച്ചുപോകുന്നു. ആഴിയുടെ മുഖം കട്ടിയായിത്തീരുന്നു.

30. That the waters are as hard as stones, and lie congealed above the deep.

31. കാര്ത്തികയുടെ ചങ്ങല നിനക്കു ബന്ധിക്കാമോ? മകയിരത്തിന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങള് അഴിക്കാമോ?

31. Hast thou brought the seven stars together? Or art thou able to break the Circle of heaven?

32. നിനക്കു രാശിചക്രത്തെ അതിന്റെ കാലത്തു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കാമോ? സപ്തര്ഷികളെയും മക്കളെയും നിനക്കു നടത്താമോ?

32. Canst thou bring forth the morning star or the evening star at convenient time, and convey them home again?

33. ആകാശത്തിലെ നിയമങ്ങളെ നീ അറിയുന്നുവോ? അതിന്നു ഭൂമിമേലുള്ള സ്വാധീനത നിര്ണ്ണയിക്കാമോ?

33. Knewest thou the course of heaven, that thou mayest set up the ordinance thereof upon the earth?

34. ജലപ്രവാഹം നിന്നെ മൂടേണ്ടതിന്നു നിനക്കു മേഘങ്ങളോളം ശബ്ദം ഉയര്ത്താമോ?

34. Moreover, canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that they may pour down a great rain upon thee?

35. അടിയങ്ങള് വിടകൊള്ളുന്നു എന്നു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു പുറപ്പെടുവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം നിനക്കു മിന്നലുകളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കാമോ?

35. Canst thou thunder also that they may go their way, and be obedient unto thee, saying: Lo here are we.

36. അന്തരംഗത്തില് ജ്ഞാനത്തെ വെച്ചവനാര്? മനസ്സിന്നു വിവേകം കൊടുത്തവന് ആര്?

36. Who giveth sure wisdom or steadfast understanding?

37. ഉരുക്കിവാര്ത്തതുപോലെ പൊടിതമ്മില് കൂടുമ്പോഴും മണ്കട്ട ഒന്നോടൊന്നു പറ്റിപ്പോകുമ്പോഴും

37. Who numbereth the clouds in wisdom? Who stilleth the vehement waters of heaven?

38. ജ്ഞാനത്താല് മേഘങ്ങളെ എണ്ണുന്നതാര്? ആകാശത്തിലെ തുരുത്തികളെ ചരിക്കുന്നതാര്?

38. Who turneth the clots to dust, and then to be clots again?

39. സിംഹങ്ങള് ഗുഹകളില് പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുമ്പോഴും അവ മുറ്റുകാട്ടില് പതിയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും

39. Huntest thou the prey from the lion,

40. നീ സിംഹിക്കു ഇര വേട്ടയാടിക്കൊടുക്കുമോ? ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ വിശപ്പടക്കുമോ?

40. or feedest thou his whelps living in their dens, and lurking in their couches?

41. കാക്കകൂഞ്ഞുങ്ങള് ഇരകിട്ടാതെ ഉഴന്നു ദൈവത്തോടു നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോള് അതിന്നു തീന് എത്തിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നതാര്?

41. Who provideth meat for the raven, when his young ones cry unto God, and fly about for want of meat?
