1. അതിന്നു ശൂഹ്യനായ ബില്ദാദ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. Then answered Baldad the Suhite, and sayde:

2. എത്രത്തോളം നീ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിക്കും? നിന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകള് വങ്കാറ്റുപോലെ ഇരിക്കും?

2. How longe wilt thou talke of soch thinges? how longe shal yi mouth speake so proude wordes?

3. ദൈവം ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുമോ? സര്വ്വശക്തന് നീതിയെ മറിച്ചുകളയുമോ?

3. Doth God peruerte the thinge that is laufull? Or, doth the Allmightie destroye the thynge that is right?

4. നിന്റെ മക്കള് അവനോടു പാപം ചെയ്തെങ്കില് അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങള്ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

4. Whe thy sonnes synned agaynst him, dyd not he punysh the for their wickednesse?

5. നീ ദൈവത്തെ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കയും സര്വ്വശക്തനോടപേക്ഷിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്,

5. Yff thou woldest now resorte vnto God by tymes, and make thine humble prayer to ye Allmightie:

6. നീ നിര്മ്മലനും നേരുള്ളവനുമെങ്കില് അവന് ഇപ്പോള് നിനക്കു വേണ്ടി ഉണര്ന്നുവരും; നിന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വാസസ്ഥലത്തെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും.

6. yf thou woldest lyue a pure and a godly life: shulde he not wake vp vnto the immediatly, & geue the the bewtie of rightuousnesse agayne?

7. നിന്റെ പൂര്വ്വസ്ഥിതി അല്പമായ്തോന്നും; നിന്റെ അന്ത്യസ്ഥിതി അതിമഹത്തായിരിക്കും.

7. In so moch, that where i so euer thou haddest litle afore, thou shuldest now haue greate abundaunce.

8. നീ പണ്ടത്തെ തലമുറയോടു ചോദിക്ക; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അന്വേഷണ ഫലം ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്ക.

8. Enquere of them that haue bene before the, search diligently amonge thy forefathers:

9. നാം ഇന്നലെ ഉണ്ടായവരും ഒന്നുമറിയാത്തവരുമല്ലോ; ഭൂമിയില് നമ്മുടെ ജീവകാലം ഒരു നിഴലത്രെ.

9. Namely, yt we are but of yesterdaye, and considre not, that oure dayes vpon earth are buth a very shadow.

10. അവര് നിനക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞുതരും; തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില്നിന്നു വാക്കുകളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കും.

10. They shall shewe the, they shall tell the, yee they will gladly confesse the same.

11. ചെളിയില്ലാതെ ഞാങ്ങണ വളരുമോ? വെള്ളമില്ലാതെ പോട്ടപ്പുല്ലു വളരുമോ?

11. Maye a resshe be grene without moystnesse? maye the grasse growe without water?

12. അതു അരിയാതെ പച്ചയായിരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ മറ്റു എല്ലാ പുല്ലിന്നും മുമ്പെ വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

12. No: but (or euer it be shot forth, and or euer it be gathered) it wythereth, before eny other herbe.

13. ദൈവത്തെ മറക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരുടെയും പാത അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; വഷളന്റെ ആശ നശിച്ചുപോകും;

13. Euen so goeth it with all them, that forget God: and euen thus also shal the ypocrytes hope come to naught.

14. അവന്റെ ആശ്രയം അറ്റുപോകും; അവന്റെ ശരണം ചിലന്തിവലയത്രെ.

14. His confidence shalbe destroyed, for he trusteth in a spyders webbe.

15. അവന് തന്റെ വീട്ടിനെ ആശ്രയിക്കും; അതോ നില്ക്കയില്ല; അവന് അതിനെ മുറുകെ പിടിക്കും; അതോ നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല.

15. He leeneth him vpo his house, but he shal not stonde: he holdeth him fast by it, yet shal he not endure.

16. വെയിലത്തു അവന് പച്ചയായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ചില്ലികള് അവന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില് പടരുന്നു.

16. Oft tymes a thinge doth florish, and men thynke that it maye abyde the Sonneshyne: it shuteth forth the braunches in his garden,

17. അവന്റെ വേര് കല്ക്കുന്നില് പിണയുന്നു; അതു കല്ലടുക്കില് ചെന്നു പിടിക്കുന്നു.

17. it taketh many rotes, in so moch that it is like an house off stones.

18. അവന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അവനെ നശിപ്പിച്ചാല് ഞാന് നിന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു അതു അവനെ നിഷേധിക്കും.

18. But yf it be taken out off his place, euery man denyeth it, sayenge: I knowe the not.

19. ഇതാ, ഇതു അവന്റെ വഴിയുടെ സന്തോഷം; പൊടിയില്നിന്നു മറ്റൊന്നു മുളെച്ചുവരും.

19. Lo, thus is it wt him, that reioyseth in his owne doinges: and as for other, they growe out of the earth.

20. ദൈവം നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ നിരസിക്കയില്ല; ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരെ താങ്ങുകയുമില്ല.

20. Beholde, God will not cast awaye a vertuous man, nether wil he helpe the vngodly.

21. അവന് ഇനിയും നിന്റെ വായില് ചിരിയും നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളില് ഉല്ലാസഘോഷവും നിറെക്കും.

21. Thy mouth shall he fyll with laughynge, ad thy lyppes with gladnesse.

22. നിന്നെ പകക്കുന്നവര് ലജ്ജ ധരിക്കും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരം ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.

22. They that hate the, shalbe confounded, & ye dwellinges of ye vngodly shal come to naught.
