1. യഹോവേ, ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കരുതേ. ഉഗ്രനീരസത്തോടെ എന്നെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയുമരുതേ.

1. A Psalm of David; to bring to remembrance and make memorial. O LORD, rebuke me not in Your wrath, neither chasten me in Your hot displeasure.

2. നിന്റെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങള് എന്നില് തറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ മേല് ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. For Your arrows have sunk into me and stick fast, and Your hand has come down upon me and pressed me sorely.

3. നിന്റെ നീരസം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ ദേഹത്തില് സൌഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളില് സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.

3. There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your indignation; neither is there any health or rest in my bones because of my sin.

4. എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള് എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്കു അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

4. For my iniquities have gone over my head [like waves of a flood]; as a heavy burden they weigh too much for me.

5. എന്റെ ഭോഷത്വംഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങള് ചീഞ്ഞുനാറുന്നു.

5. My wounds are loathsome and corrupt because of my foolishness.

6. ഞാന് കുനിഞ്ഞു ഏറ്റവും കൂനിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു.

6. I am bent and bowed down greatly; I go about mourning all the day long.

7. എന്റെ അരയില് വരള്ച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തില് സൌഖ്യമില്ല.

7. For my loins are filled with burning; and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8. ഞാന് ക്ഷീണിച്ചു അത്യന്തം തകര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഞരക്കംനിമിത്തം ഞാന് അലറുന്നു. കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം നിനക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

8. I am faint and sorely bruised [deadly cold and quite worn out]; I groan by reason of the disquiet and moaning of my heart.

9. എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് വശംകെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എനിക്കില്ലാതെയായി.

9. Lord, all my desire is before You; and my sighing is not hidden from You.

10. എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും കൂട്ടുകാരും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ടു മാറിനിലക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരും അകന്നുനിലക്കുന്നു.

10. My heart throbs, my strength fails me; as for the light of my eyes, it also is gone from me.

11. എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാന് നോക്കുന്നവര് കണിവെക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു അനര്ത്ഥം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് വേണ്ടാതനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.

11. My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; and my neighbors and my near ones stand afar off. [Luke 23:49.]

12. എങ്കിലും ഞാന് ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേള്ക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ്തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

12. They also that seek and demand my life lay snares for me, and they that seek and require my hurt speak crafty and mischievous things; they meditate treachery and deceit all the day long.

13. ഞാന് , കേള്ക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായില് പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

13. But I, like a deaf man, hear not; and I am like a dumb man who opens not his mouth.

14. യഹോവേ, നിങ്കല് ഞാന് പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കര്ത്താവേ, നീ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.

14. Yes, I have become like a man who hears not, in whose mouth are no arguments or replies.

15. അവര് എന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാല് വഴുതുമ്പോള് അവര് എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പു പറയുമല്ലോ.

15. For in You, O Lord, do I hope; You will answer, O Lord my God.

16. ഞാന് ഇടറി വീഴുമാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

16. For I pray, Let them not rejoice over me, who when my foot slips boast against me.

17. ഞാന് എന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.

17. For I am ready to halt and fall; my pain and sorrow are continually before me.

18. എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോ ജീവനും ബലവുമുള്ളവര്. എന്നെ വെറുതെ പകെക്കുന്നവര് പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. For I do confess my guilt and iniquity; I am filled with sorrow for my sin. [II Cor. 7:9, 10.]

19. ഞാന് നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാല് അവര് എനിക്കു വിരോധികളായി നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

19. But my enemies are vigorous and strong, and those who hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

20. യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈവിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.

20. They also that render evil for good are adversaries to me, because I follow the thing that is good.

21. എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കര്ത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിന്നു വേഗം വരേണമേ.

21. Forsake me not, O Lord; O my God, be not far from me.
