1. എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞാന് രാവും പകലും തിരുസന്നിധിയില് നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു;

2. എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന നിന്റെ മുമ്പില് വരുമാറാകട്ടെ; എന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കു ചെവി ചായിക്കേണമേ.

2. My prayer cometh in before Thee, Incline Thine ear to my loud cry,

3. എന്റെ പ്രാണന് കഷ്ടതകൊണ്ടു നിറെഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജീവന് പാതാളത്തോടു സമീപിക്കുന്നു.

3. For my soul hath been full of evils, And my life hath come to Sheol.

4. കുഴിയില് ഇറങ്ങുന്നവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് എന്നെ എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് തുണയില്ലാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയാകുന്നു.

4. I have been reckoned with those going down [to] the pit, I have been as a man without strength.

5. ശവകൂഴിയില് കിടക്കുന്ന ഹതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരെ നീ പിന്നെ ഔര്ക്കുംന്നില്ല; അവര് നിന്റെ കയ്യില്നിന്നു അറ്റുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

5. Among the dead -- free, As pierced ones lying in the grave, Whom Thou hast not remembered any more, Yea, they by Thy hand have been cut off.

6. നീ എന്നെ ഏറ്റവും താണ കുഴിയിലും ഇരുട്ടിലും ആഴങ്ങളിലും ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. Thou hast put me in the lowest pit, In dark places, in depths.

7. നിന്റെ ക്രോധം എന്റെമേല് ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു. നിന്റെ എല്ലാതിരകളുംകൊണ്ടു നീ എന്നെ വലെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. സേലാ.

7. Upon me hath Thy fury lain, And [with] all Thy breakers Thou hast afflicted. Selah.

8. എന്റെ പരിചയക്കാരെ നീ എന്നോടു അകറ്റി, എന്നെ അവര്ക്കും വെറുപ്പാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; പുറത്തിറങ്ങുവാന് കഴിയാതവണ്ണം എന്നെ അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me, Thou hast made me an abomination to them, Shut up -- I go not forth.

9. എന്റെ കണ്ണു കഷ്ടതഹേതുവായി ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; യഹോവേ, ഞാന് ദിവസംപ്രതിയും നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കയും എന്റെ കൈകളെ നിങ്കലേക്കു മലര്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

9. Mine eye hath grieved because of affliction, I called Thee, O Jehovah, all the day, I have spread out unto Thee my hands.

10. നീ മരിച്ചവര്ക്കും അത്ഭുതങ്ങള് കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുമോ? മൃതന്മാര് എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കുമോ? സേലാ.

10. To the dead dost Thou do wonders? Do Rephaim rise? do they thank Thee? Selah.

11. ശവകൂഴിയില് നിന്റെ ദയയെയും വിനാശത്തില് നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയെയും വര്ണ്ണിക്കുമോ?

11. Is Thy kindness recounted in the grave? Thy faithfulness in destruction?

12. അന്ധകാരത്തില് നിന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും വിസ്മൃതിയുള്ള ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ നീതയും വെളിപ്പെടുമോ?

12. Are Thy wonders known in the darkness? And Thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

13. എന്നാല് യഹോവേ, ഞാന് നിന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; രാവിലെ എന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന തിരുസന്നിധിയില് വരുന്നു.

13. And I, unto Thee, O Jehovah, I have cried, And in the morning doth my prayer come before Thee.

14. യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തള്ളിക്കളയുന്നതെന്തിന്നു? നിന്റെ മുഖത്തെ എനിക്കു മറെച്ചുവെക്കുന്നതും എന്തിന്നു?

14. Why, O Jehovah, castest Thou off my soul? Thou hidest Thy face from me.

15. ബാല്യംമുതല് ഞാന് അരിഷ്ടനും മരിപ്പാറായവനും ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് നിന്റെ ഘോരത്വങ്ങളെ സഹിച്ചു വലഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. I [am] afflicted, and expiring from youth, I have borne Thy terrors -- I pine away.

16. നിന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം എന്റെ മീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ഘോരത്വങ്ങള് എന്നെ സംഹരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

16. Over me hath Thy wrath passed, Thy terrors have cut me off,

17. അവ ഇടവിടാതെ വെള്ളംപോലെ എന്നെ ചുറ്റുന്നു; അവ ഒരുപോലെ എന്നെ വളയുന്നു.

17. They have surrounded me as waters all the day, They have gone round against me together,

18. സ്നേഹിതനെയും കൂട്ടാളിയെയും നീ എന്നോടകറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പരിചയക്കാര് അന്ധകാരമത്രേ. (എസ്രാഹ്യനായ ഏഥാന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനം.)

18. Thou hast put far from me lover and friend, Mine acquaintance [is] the place of darkness!
