1. മിസ്രയീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകംയഹോവ വേഗതയുള്ളോരു മേഘത്തെ വാഹനമാക്കി മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു വരുന്നു; അപ്പോള് മിസ്രയീമിലെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികള് അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിങ്കല് നടുങ്ങുകയും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ ഹൃദയം അതിന്റെ ഉള്ളില് ഉരുകുകയും ചെയ്യും.

1. THE MOURNFUL, inspired prediction (a burden to be lifted up) concerning Egypt: Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud and comes to Egypt; and the idols of Egypt will tremble at His presence, and the hearts of the Egyptians will melt within them.

2. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ മിസ്രയീമ്യരോടു കലഹിപ്പിക്കും; അവര് ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും ഔരോരുത്തന് താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടും പട്ടണം പട്ടണത്തോടും രാജ്യം രാജ്യത്തോടും യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യും.

2. And I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians, and they will fight, every one against his brother and every one against his neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.

3. മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ ചൈതന്യം അതിന്റെ ഉള്ളില് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; ഞാന് അതിന്റെ ആലോചനയെ നശിപ്പിക്കും; അപ്പോള് അവര് മിത്ഥ്യാമൂര്ത്തികളോടും മന്ത്രവാദികളോടും വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരോടും ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നവരോടും അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കും.

3. And the spirit of the Egyptians within them will become exhausted and emptied out and will fail, and I will destroy their counsel and confound their plans; and they will seek counsel from the idols and the sorcerers, and from those having familiar spirits (the mediums) and the wizards.

4. ഞാന് മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ഒരു ക്രൂരയജമാനന്റെ കയ്യില് ഏല്പിക്കും; ഉഗ്രനായ ഒരു രാജാവു അവരെ ഭരിക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. And I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a hard and cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them, says the Lord, the Lord of hosts.

5. സമുദ്രത്തില് വെള്ളം ഇല്ലാതെയാകും; നദി വറ്റി ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോകും.

5. And the waters shall fail from the Nile, and the river shall be wasted and become dry.

6. നദികള്ക്കു നാറ്റം പിടിക്കും; മിസ്രയീമിലെ തോടുകള് വറ്റി ഉണങ്ങും; ഞാങ്ങണയും വേഴവും വാടിപ്പോകും.

6. And the rivers shall become foul, the streams and canals of Egypt shall be diminished and dried up, the reeds and the rushes shall wither and rot away.

7. നദിക്കരികെയും നദീതീരത്തും ഉള്ള പുല്പുറങ്ങളും നദീതീരത്തു വിതെച്ചതൊക്കെയും ഉണങ്ങി പറന്നു ഇല്ലാതെപോകും.

7. The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all the sown fields of the Nile shall become dry, be blown away, and be no more.

8. മീന് പിടിക്കുന്നവര് വിലപിക്കും; നദിയില് ചൂണ്ടല് ഇടുന്നവരൊക്കെയും ദുഃഖിക്കും; വെള്ളത്തില് വല വീശുന്നവര് വിഷാദിക്കും.

8. The fishermen will lament, and all who cast a hook into the Nile will mourn; and they who spread nets upon the waters will languish.

9. ചീകി വെടിപ്പാക്കിയ ചണംകൊണ്ടു വേല ചെയ്യുന്നവരും വെള്ളത്തുണി നെയ്യുന്നവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകും.

9. Moreover, they who work with combed flax and they who weave white [cotton] cloth will be confounded and in despair.

10. രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ തൂണുകളായിരിക്കുന്നവര് തകര്ന്നുപോകും; കൂലിവേലക്കാര് മനോവ്യസനത്തോടെയിരിക്കും.

10. [Those who are] the pillars and foundations of Egypt will be crushed, and all those who work for hire or who build dams will be grieved.

11. സോവനിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് കേവലം ഭോഷന്മാരത്രേ; ഫറവോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനമേറിയ മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ ആലോചന ഭോഷത്വമായി തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ മകന് , പുരാതനരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ മകന് എന്നിപ്രകാരം നിങ്ങള് ഫറവോനോടു പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങിനെ?

11. The princes of Zoan [ancient capital of the Pharaohs] are utterly foolish; the counsel of the wisest counselors of Pharaoh has become witless (stupid). How can you say to Pharaoh, I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings?

12. നിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനികള് എവിടെ? അവര് ഇപ്പോള് നിനക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതരട്ടെ; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചതു അവര് എന്തെന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ.

12. Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you now [if they are so wise], and let them make known what the Lord of hosts has purposed against Egypt [if they can].

13. സോവനിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ഭോഷന്മാരായ്തീര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നോഫിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മിസ്രയീമിലെ ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ മൂലക്കല്ലായിരിക്കുന്നവര് അതിനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

13. The princes of Zoan have become fools, and the princes of Memphis are confused and deceived; those who are the cornerstones of her tribes have led Egypt astray.

14. യഹോവ അതിന്റെ നടുവില് മനോവിഭ്രമം പകര്ന്നു; ലഹരിപിടിച്ചവന് തന്റെ ഛര്ദ്ദിയില് ചാഞ്ചാടിനടക്കുന്നതു പോലെ അവര് മിസ്രയീമിനെ അതിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും തെറ്റിനടക്കുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. The Lord has mingled a spirit of perverseness, error, and confusion within her; [her leaders] have caused Egypt to stagger in all her doings, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit.

15. തലയോ വാലോ പനമ്പട്ടയോ പോട്ടപ്പുല്ലോ നിര്വ്വഹിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തിയും മിസ്രയീമിന്നുണ്ടായിരിക്കയില്ല.

15. Neither can any work [done singly or by concerted action] accomplish anything for Egypt, whether by head or tail, palm branch or rush [high or low].

16. അന്നാളില് മിസ്രയീമ്യര് സ്ത്രീകള്ക്കു തുല്യരായിരിക്കും; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവരുടെ നേരെ കൈ ഔങ്ങുന്നതുനിമിത്തം അവര് പേടിച്ചു വിറെക്കും.

16. In that day will the Egyptians be like women [timid and helpless]; and they will tremble and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts which He shakes over them.

17. യെഹൂദാദേശം മിസ്രയീമിന്നു ഭയങ്കരമായിരിക്കും; അതിന്റെ പേര് പറഞ്ഞുകേള്ക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അതിന്നു വിരോധമായി നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ച നിര്ണ്ണയംനിമിത്തം ഭയപ്പെടും.

17. And the land of Judah [allied to Assyria] shall become a terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom mention of it is made will be afraid and everyone who mentions it--to him will they turn in fear, because of the purpose of the Lord of hosts which He purposes against Egypt.

18. അന്നാളില് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുള്ള അഞ്ചു പട്ടണങ്ങള് കനാന് ഭാഷ സംസാരിച്ചു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയോടു സത്യംചെയ്യും; ഒന്നിന്നു സൂര്യനഗരം (ഈര് ഹഹേരെസ്) എന്നു പേര് വിളിക്കപ്പെടും.

18. In that day there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of [the Hebrews of] Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord of hosts. One of them will be called the City of the Sun or Destruction.

19. അന്നാളില് മിസ്രയീം ദേശത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠവും അതിന്റെ അതൃത്തിയില് യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു തൂണും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും.

19. In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border.

20. അതു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു അടയാളവും ഒരു സാക്ഷ്യവും ആയിരിക്കും; പീഡകന്മാര് നിമിത്തം അവര് യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിക്കും; അവന് അവര്ക്കും ഒരു രക്ഷകനെ അയക്കും; അവന് പെരുതു അവരെ വിടുവിക്കും.

20. And it will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to the Lord because of oppressors, and He will send them a savior, even a mighty one, and he will deliver them. [Judg. 2:18; 3:9, 15.]

21. അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമിന്നു തന്നെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അന്നു യഹോവയെ അറിഞ്ഞു യാഗവും വഴിപാടും കഴിക്കയും യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു നേര്ച്ച നേര്ന്നു അതിനെ നിവര്ത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

21. And the Lord will make Himself known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know (have knowledge of, be acquainted with, give heed to, and cherish) the Lord in that day and will worship with sacrifices of animal and vegetable offerings; they will vow a vow to the Lord and perform it.

22. യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമിനെ അടിക്കും; അടിച്ചിട്ടു അവന് വീണ്ടും അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കും; അവര് യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു തിരികയും അവന് അവരുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേട്ടു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

22. And the Lord shall smite Egypt, smiting and healing it; and they will return to the Lord, and He will listen to their entreaties and heal them.

23. അന്നാളില് മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു അശ്ശൂരിലേക്കു ഒരു പെരുവഴി ഉണ്ടാകും; അശ്ശൂര്യ്യര് മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കും മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അശ്ശൂരിലേക്കും ചെല്ലും; മിസ്രയീമ്യര് അശ്ശൂര്യ്യരോടുകൂടെ ആരാധന കഴിക്കും.

23. In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship [the Lord] with the Assyrians.

24. അന്നാളില് യിസ്രായേല് ഭൂമിയുടെ മദധ്യേ ഒരു അനുഗ്രഹമായി മിസ്രയീമിനോടും അശ്ശൂരിനോടുംകൂടെ മൂന്നാമതായിരിക്കും.

24. In that day Israel shall be the third, with Egypt and with Assyria [in a Messianic league], a blessing in the midst of the earth,

25. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു; എന്റെ ജനമായ മിസ്രയീമും എന്റെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയായ അശ്ശൂരും എന്റെ അവകാശമായ യിസ്രായേലും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യും.

25. Whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, Blessed be Egypt My people and Assyria the work of My hands and Israel My heritage.
