1. ഇപ്പോഴോ, എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യിസ്രായേലേ, കേള്ക്ക.

1. 'Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, And Israel whom I have chosen.

2. നിന്നെ ഉരുവാക്കിയവനും ഗര്ഭത്തില് നിന്നെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചവനും നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഎന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യെശുരൂനേ, നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

2. Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, [who] will help you: 'Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

3. ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നെടത്തു ഞാന് വെള്ളവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തു നീരൊഴുക്കുകളും പകരും; നിന്റെ സന്തതിമേല് എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും നിന്റെ സന്താനത്തിന്മേല് എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തെയും പകരും.

3. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;

4. അവര് പുല്ലിന്റെ ഇടയില് നീര്ത്തോടുകള്ക്കരികെയുള്ള അലരികള്പോലെ മുളെച്ചുവരും.

4. They will spring up among the grass Like willows by the watercourses.'

5. ഞാന് യഹോവേക്കുള്ളവന് എന്നു ഒരുത്തന് പറയും; മറ്റൊരുത്തന് തനിക്കു യാക്കോബിന്റെ പേരെടുക്കും; വേറൊരുത്തന് തന്റെ കൈമേല്യഹോവേക്കുള്ളവന് എന്നു എഴുതി, യിസ്രായേല് എന്നു മറുപേര് എടുക്കും.

5. One will say, 'I [am] the LORD's'; Another will call [himself] by the name of Jacob; Another will write [with] his hand, 'The LORD's,' And name [himself] by the name of Israel.

6. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായ യഹോവ, അവന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ആദ്യനും അന്ത്യനും ആകുന്നു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല.

6. ' Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I [am] the First and I [am] the Last; Besides Me [there is] no God.

7. ഞാന് പുരാതനമായോരു ജനത്തെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതുമുതല് ഞാന് എന്നപോലെ വിളിച്ചുപറകയും പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരുക്കിവെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ആര്? സംഭവിക്കുന്നതും സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതും അവര് പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ.

7. And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, Since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, Let them show these to them.

8. നിങ്ങള് ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; പേടിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ; പണ്ടുതന്നേ ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു കേള്പ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ സാക്ഷികള് ആകുന്നു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവം ഉണ്ടോ? ഒരു പാറയും ഇല്ല; ഞാന് ഒരുത്തനെയും അറിയുന്നില്ല.

8. Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared [it?] You [are] My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed [there is] no other Rock; I know not [one.'] '

9. വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നിര്മ്മിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ശൂന്യം; അവരുടെ മനോഹരബിംബങ്ങള് ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവയുടെ സാക്ഷികളോ ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല, ഒന്നും അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല; ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നതേയുള്ള.

9. Those who make an image, all of them [are] useless, And their precious things shall not profit; They [are] their own witnesses; They neither see nor know, that they may be ashamed.

10. ഒരു ദേവനെ നിര്മ്മിക്കയോ ഒന്നിന്നും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ വാര്ക്കുംകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ആര്?

10. Who would form a god or mold an image [That] profits him nothing?

11. ഇതാ അവന്റെ കൂട്ടക്കാര് എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരോ മനുഷ്യരത്രേ; അവര് എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി നില്ക്കട്ടെ; അവര് ഒരുപോലെ വിറെച്ചു ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.

11. Surely all his companions would be ashamed; And the workmen, they [are] mere men. Let them all be gathered together, Let them stand up; Yet they shall fear, They shall be ashamed together.

12. കൊല്ലന് ഉളിയെ മൂര്ച്ചയാക്കി തീക്കനലില് വേല ചെയ്തു ചുറ്റികകൊണ്ടു അടിച്ചു രൂപമാക്കി ബലമുള്ള ഭുജംകൊണ്ടു പണിതീര്ക്കുംന്നു; അവന് വിശന്നു ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം കുടിക്കാതെ തളര്ന്നുപോകുന്നു.

12. The blacksmith with the tongs works one in the coals, Fashions it with hammers, And works it with the strength of his arms. Even so, he is hungry, and his strength fails; He drinks no water and is faint.

13. ആശാരി തോതുപിടിച്ചു ഈയക്കോല്കൊണ്ടു അടയാളമിട്ടു ചീകുളികൊണ്ടു രൂപമാക്കുകയും വൃത്തയന്ത്രംകൊണ്ടു വരെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവന് അതിനെ മനുഷ്യാകൃതിയിലും പുരുഷകോമളത്വത്തിലും തീര്ത്തു ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് വെക്കുന്നു.

13. The craftsman stretches out [his] rule, He marks one out with chalk; He fashions it with a plane, He marks it out with the compass, And makes it like the figure of a man, According to the beauty of a man, that it may remain in the house.

14. ഒരുവന് ദേവദാരുക്കളെ വെട്ടുകയും തേക്കും കരിവേലവും എടുക്കയും കാട്ടിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളില് അവയെ കണ്ടു ഉറപ്പിക്കയും ഒരു അശോകം നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിക്കയും, മഴ അതിനെ വളര്ത്തുകയു ചെയ്യുന്നു.

14. He cuts down cedars for himself, And takes the cypress and the oak; He secures [it] for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a pine, and the rain nourishes [it.]

15. പിന്നെ അതു മനുഷ്യന്നു തീ കത്തിപ്പാന് ഉതകുന്നു; അവന് അതില് കുറെ എടുത്തു തീ കായുകയും അതു കത്തിച്ചു അപ്പം ചുടുകയും അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ദേവനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയും ഒരു വിഗ്രഹം തീര്ത്തു അതിന്റെ മുമ്പില് സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

15. Then it shall be for a man to burn, For he will take some of it and warm himself; Yes, he kindles [it] and bakes bread; Indeed he makes a god and worships [it;] He makes it a carved image, and falls down to it.

16. അതില് ഒരംശംകൊണ്ടു അവന് തീ കത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഒരംശം കൊണ്ടു ഇറച്ചി ചുട്ടുതിന്നുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അവന് ചുട്ടുതിന്നു തൃപ്തനാകുന്നു; അവന് തീ കാഞ്ഞു; നല്ല തീ, കുളിര് മാറി എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

16. He burns half of it in the fire; With this half he eats meat; He roasts a roast, and is satisfied. He even warms [himself] and says, 'Ah! I am warm, I have seen the fire.'

17. അതിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു അവന് ഒരു ദേവനെ, ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ തന്നേ, ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്റെ മുമ്പില് സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിക്കയും അതിനോടു പ്രാര്ത്ഥിച്ചുഎന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; നീ എന്റെ ദേവനല്ലോ എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

17. And the rest of it he makes into a god, His carved image. He falls down before it and worships [it,] Prays to it and says, 'Deliver me, for you [are] my god!'

18. അവര് അറിയുന്നില്ല, ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; കാണാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകളെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും അവന് അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. They do not know nor understand; For He has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, [And] their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

19. ഒരുത്തനും ഹൃദയത്തില് വിചാരിക്കുന്നില്ലഒരംശം ഞാന് കത്തിച്ചു കനലില് അപ്പം ചുട്ടു ഇറച്ചിയും ചുട്ടുതിന്നു; ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് ഒരു മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമോ? ഒരു മരമുട്ടിയുടെ മുമ്പില് സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുമോ! എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറവാന് തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരുത്തന്നും അറിവും ഇല്ല, ബോധവുമില്ല.

19. And no one considers in his heart, Nor [is there] knowledge nor understanding to say, 'I have burned half of it in the fire, Yes, I have also baked bread on its coals; I have roasted meat and eaten [it;] And shall I make the rest of it an abomination? Shall I fall down before a block of wood?'

20. അവന് വെണ്ണീര് തിന്നുന്നു; വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെട്ട അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; അവന് തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യില് ഭോഷ്കില്ലയോ? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

20. He feeds on ashes; A deceived heart has turned him aside; And he cannot deliver his soul, Nor say, '[Is there] not a lie in my right hand?'

21. യാക്കോബേ, ഇതു ഔര്ത്തുകൊള്ക; യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ എന്റെ ദാസനല്ലോ; ഞാന് നിന്നെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചു; നീ എന്റെ ദാസന് തന്നേ; യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാന് നിന്നെ മറന്നുകളകയില്ല.

21. ' Remember these, O Jacob, And Israel, for you [are] My servant; I have formed you, you [are] My servant; O Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me!

22. ഞാന് കാര്മുകിലിനെപ്പോലെ നിന്റെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെയും മേഘത്തെപോലെ നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെയും മായിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ക; ഞാന് നിന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

22. I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, And like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.'

23. ആകശമേ, ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്ക; യഹോവ ഇതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളേ, ആര്ത്തുകൊള്വിന് ; പര്വ്വതങ്ങളും വനവും സകലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ആയുള്ളോവേ, പൊട്ടിയാര്ക്കുംവിന് ; യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു യിസ്രായേലില് തന്നെത്താന് മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.

23. Sing, O heavens, for the LORD has done [it!] Shout, you lower parts of the earth; Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, And glorified Himself in Israel.

24. നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും ഗര്ഭത്തില് നിന്നെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുയഹോവയായ ഞാന് സകലവും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് തന്നേ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കയും ഭൂമിയെ പരത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ആര് എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു?

24. Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, And He who formed you from the womb: 'I [am] the LORD, who makes all [things,] Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;

25. ഞാന് ജല്പകന്മാരുടെ ശകുനങ്ങളെ വ്യര്ത്ഥമാക്കുകയും പ്രശ്നക്കാരെ ഭ്രാന്തന്മാരാക്കുകയും ജ്ഞാനികളെ മടക്കി അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ ഭോഷത്വമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

25. Who frustrates the signs of the babblers, And drives diviners mad; Who turns wise men backward, And makes their knowledge foolishness;

26. ഞാന് എന്റെ ദാസന്റെ വചനം നിവര്ത്തിച്ചു എന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ആലോചന അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമില് നിവാസികള് ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നും യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങള് പണിയപ്പെടും ഞാന് അവയുടെ ഇടിവുകളെ നന്നാക്കും എന്നും കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

26. Who confirms the word of His servant, And performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem, 'You shall be inhabited,' To the cities of Judah, 'You shall be built,' And I will raise up her waste places;

27. ഞാന് ആഴിയോടു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോക; നിന്റെ നദികളെ ഞാന് വറ്റിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

27. Who says to the deep, 'Be dry! And I will dry up your rivers';

28. കോരെശ് എന്റെ ഇടയന് അവന് എന്റെ ഹിതമൊക്കെയും നിവര്ത്തിക്കും എന്നും യെരൂശലേം പണിയപ്പെടും, മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടും എന്നും ഞാന് കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

28. Who says of Cyrus, '[He is] My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem, 'You shall be built,' And to the temple, 'Your foundation shall be laid.' '
