1. യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്

1. The worde of the Lord came againe vnto me, saying,

2. മനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, ഒരമ്മയുടെ മക്കളായ രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകള് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

2. Sonne of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother.

3. അവര് മിസ്രയീമില്വെച്ചു പരസംഗംചെയ്തു; യൌവനത്തില് തന്നേ അവര് പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു; അവിടെ അവരുടെ മുല പിടിച്ചു അവരുടെ കന്യാകുചാഗ്രം ഞെക്കി.

3. And they committed fornication in Egypt, they committed fornication in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teates of their virginitie.

4. അവരില് മൂത്തവള്ക്കു ഒഹൊലാ എന്നും ഇളയവര്ക്കും ഒഹൊലീബാ എന്നു പേരായിരുന്നു; അവര് എനിക്കുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ പേരോ ഒഹൊലാ എന്നതു ശമര്യ്യയും ഒഹൊലീബാ എന്നതു യെരൂശലേമും ആകുന്നു.

4. And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sonnes and daughters: thus were their names. Samaria is Aholah, and Ierusalem Aholibah.

5. എന്നാല് ഒഹൊലാ എന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു;

5. And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine, and she was set on fire with her louers, to wit, with the Assyrians her neighbours,

6. അവള് ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ മനോഹരയുവാക്കളും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഔടിക്കുന്നവരുമായ സമീപസ്ഥരായ അശ്ശൂര്യ്യജാരന്മാരെ മോഹിച്ചു.

6. Which were clothed with blewe silke, both captaines and princes: they were all pleasant yong men, and horsemen riding vpon horses.

7. അശ്ശൂര്യ്യശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരായവരോടു ഒക്കെയും തന്റെ വേശ്യാവിദ്യകളെ ചെലവഴിച്ചു, താന് മോഹിച്ചുപോന്ന ഏവരുടെയും സകലവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടും തന്നെത്താന് മലിനയാക്കി.

7. Thus she committed her whoredome with them, euen with all them that were the chosen men of Asshur, and with all on whome she doted, and defiled her selfe with all their idoles.

8. മിസ്രയീമില്നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയും അവള് വിട്ടില്ല; അവര് അവളുടെ യൌവനത്തില് അവളോടുകൂടെ ശയിച്ചു, അവളുടെ കന്യാകുചാഗ്രം ഞെക്കി തങ്ങളുടെ പരസംഗം അവളുടെമേല് ചൊരിഞ്ഞു.

8. Neither left she her fornications, learned of the Egyptians: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginitie, and powred their whoredome vpon her.

9. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളെ അവളുടെ ജാരന്മാരുടെ കയ്യില്, അവള് മോഹിച്ചിരുന്ന അശ്ശൂര്യ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്തന്നേ, ഏല്പിച്ചു.

9. Wherefore I deliuered her into the hands of her louers, euen into the hands of the Assyrians, vpon whome she doted.

10. അവര് അവളുടെ നഗ്നത അനാവൃതമാക്കി, അവളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പിടിക്കയും അവളെ വാള്കൊണ്ടു കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു; അവര് അവളുടെമേല് വിധി നടത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവള് സ്ത്രീകളുടെ ഇടയില് ഒരു നിന്ദാപാത്രമായിത്തീര്ന്നു.

10. These discouered her shame: they tooke away her sonnes and her daughters, and slewe her with the sworde, and she had an euill name among women: for they had executed iudgement vpon her.

11. എന്നാല് അവളുടെ സഹോദരിയായ ഒഹൊലീബാ ഇതു കണ്ടിട്ടും തന്റെ കാമവികാരത്തില് അവളെക്കാളും തന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയില് സഹോദരിയുടെ വേശ്യവൃത്തിയെക്കാളും അധികം വഷളത്വം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു.

11. And when her sister Aholibah sawe this, she marred her selfe with inordinate loue, more then she, and with her fornications more then her sister with her fornications.

12. മോടിയായി ഉടുത്തുചമഞ്ഞ ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഔടിക്കുന്നവരും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ മനോഹരയുവാക്കളുമായ സമീപസ്ഥരായ അശ്ശൂര്യ്യരെ മോഹിച്ചു,

12. She doted vpon the Assyrians her neighbours, both captaines and princes clothed with diuers sutes, horsemen ryding vpon horses: they were all pleasant yong men.

13. അവളും തന്നെത്താന് മലിനയാക്കി എന്നു ഞാന് കണ്ടു; ഇരുവരും ഒരു വഴിയില് തന്നേ നടന്നു.

13. Then I sawe that she was defiled, and that they were both after one sort,

14. അവള് പിന്നെയും പരസംഗം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ചായില്യംകൊണ്ടു എഴുതിയ കല്ദയരുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളെ,

14. And that she encreased her fornications: for when she sawe men painted vpon the wall, the images of the Caldeans painted with vermelon,

15. കല്ദയദേശം ജന്മഭൂമിയായുള്ള ബാബേല്ക്കാരുടെ രൂപത്തില് അരെക്കു കച്ചകെട്ടി തലയില് തലപ്പാവു ചുറ്റി കാഴ്ചെക്കു ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളെ തന്നേ ചുവരിന്മേല് വരെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു അവള് കണ്ടു.

15. And girded with girdles vpon their loynes, and with dyed attyre vpon their heads (looking all like princes after the maner of the Babylonians in Caldea, the land of their natiuitie)

16. കണ്ട ഉടനെ അവള് അവരെ മോഹിച്ചു, കല്ദയദേശത്തിലേക്കു അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു.

16. Assoone, I say, as she sawe them, she doted vpon them, and sent messengers vnto them into Caldea.

17. അങ്ങനെ ബാബേല്ക്കാര് പ്രേമശയനത്തിന്നായി അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നു പരസംഗംകൊണ്ടു അവളെ മലിനയാക്കി; അവള് അവരാല് മലിനയായ്തീര്ന്നു; പിന്നെ അവള്ക്കു അവരോടു വെറുപ്പുതോന്നി.

17. Nowe when the Babylonians came to her into the bed of loue, they defiled her with their fornication, and she was polluted with them, and her lust departed from them.

18. ഇങ്ങനെ അവള് തന്റെ പരസംഗം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി തന്റെ നഗ്നത അനാവൃതമാക്കിയപ്പോള് എനിക്കു അവളുടെ സഹോദരിയോടു വെറുപ്പു തോന്നിയതുപോലെ അവളോടും വെറുപ്പു തോന്നി.

18. So she discouered her fornication, and disclosed her shame: then mine heart forsooke her, like as mine heart had forsaken her sister.

19. എന്നിട്ടും അവള് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു പരസംഗം ചെയ്ത തന്റെ യൌവനകാലം ഔര്ത്തു പരസംഗം വര്ദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു.

19. Yet she encreased her whoredome more, and called to remembrance ye dayes of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

20. കഴുതകളുടെ ലിംഗംപോലെ ലിംഗവും കുതിരകളുടെ ബീജസ്രവണംപോലെ ബീജസ്രവണവും ഉള്ള ജാരന്മാരെ അവള് മോഹിച്ചു.

20. For she doted vpon their seruants whose members are as the members of asses, and whose yssue is like the yssue of horses.

21. ഇങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ യൌവനസ്തനങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം മിസ്രയീമ്യര് നിന്റെ കുജാഗ്രങ്ങളെ ഞെക്കിയതായ നിന്റെ യൌവനത്തിലെ ദുഷ്കര്മ്മം നീ തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കി.

21. Thou calledst to remembrance the wickednes of thy youth, when thy teates were bruised by ye Egyptians: therefore ye paps of thy youth are thus.

22. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒഹൊലീബയേ, യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുബാബേല്ക്കാര്, കല്ദയര് ഒക്കെയും, പെക്കോദ്യര്, ശോവ്യര്,

22. Therefore, O Aholibah, thus sayeth the Lord God, Beholde, I will raise vp thy louers against thee, from whome thine heart is departed, and I will bring them against thee on euery side,

23. കോവ്യര്, അശ്ശൂര്യ്യര് ഒക്കെയും എന്നിങ്ങനെ മനോഹരയുവാക്കളും ദേശാധിപതികളും സ്ഥാനാപതികളും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വിശ്രുതന്മാരും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഔടിക്കുന്നവരുമായി, നിനക്കു വെറുപ്പു തോന്നിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജാരന്മാരെ ഞാന് നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി ഉണര്ത്തി ചുറ്റും നിന്റെ നേരെ വരുത്തും.

23. To wit, the Babylonians, and all the Caldeans, Peked, and Shoah, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: they were all pleasant yong men, captaines and princes: all they were valiant and renoumed, riding vpon horses.

24. അവര് അനവധി രഥങ്ങളും വണ്ടികളും ഒരു ജനസമൂഹവുമായി നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും; അവര് പരിചയും പലകയും പിടിച്ചു തലക്കോരിക ഇട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ വന്നു വളയും; ഞാന് ന്യായവിധി അവര്ക്കും ഭരമേല്പിക്കും; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായങ്ങള്ക്കു അനുസാരമായി നിന്നെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും.

24. Euen these shall come against thee with charets, waggons, and wheeles, and with a multitude of people, which shall set against thee, buckler and shield, and helmet round about: and I will leaue the punishment vnto them, and they shall iudge thee according to their iudgements.

25. ഞാന് എന്റെ തീക്ഷണത നിന്റെ നേരെ പ്രയോഗിക്കും; അവര് ക്രോധത്തോടെ നിന്നോടു പെരുമാറും; അവര് നിന്റെ മൂക്കും ചെവിയും ചെത്തിക്കളയും; നിനക്കു ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവര് വാള്കൊണ്ടു വീഴും; അവര് നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; നിനക്കു ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവര് തീക്കിരയാകും.

25. And I wil lay mine indignation vpon thee, and they shall deale cruelly with thee: they shall cut off thy nose and thine eares, and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall cary away thy sonnes and thy daughters, and thy residue shall be deuoured by the fire.

26. അവര് നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രം ഉരിഞ്ഞു ആഭരണങ്ങളെ എടുത്തുകളയും.

26. They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take away thy fayre iewels.

27. ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് നിന്റെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദയും, മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയും നിര്ത്തലാക്കും; നീ ഇനി അവരെ തലപൊക്കി നോക്കുകയില്ല, മിസ്രയീമിനെ ഔര്ക്കുംകയുമില്ല.

27. Thus wil I make thy wickednes to cease from thee and thy fornication out of the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift vp thine eyes vnto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

28. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിന്നെ നീ പകെക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യില്, നിനക്കു വെറുപ്പു തോന്നുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യില് തന്നേ ഏല്പിക്കും.

28. For thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I wil deliuer thee into the hand of them, whome thou hatest: euen into the hands of them from whome thine heart is departed.

29. അവര് പകയോടെ നിന്നോടു പെരുമാറി നിന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം ഒക്കെയും എടുത്തു, നിന്നെ നഗ്നയും അനാവൃതയും ആക്കിവിടും; അങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയുടെ നഗ്നതയും നിന്റെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദയും പരസംഗങ്ങളും വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരും.

29. And they shall handle thee despitefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leaue thee naked and bare, and the shame of thy fornications shalbe discouered, both thy wickednes, and thy whoredome.

30. നീ ജാതികളോടു ചേന്നു പരസംഗം ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടും അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാല് നിന്നെത്തന്നേ മലിനയാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടും ഇതു നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കും.

30. I wil doe these things vnto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idoles.

31. നീ സഹോദരിയുടെ വഴിയില് നടന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന് അവളുടെ പാനപാത്രം നിന്റെ കയ്യില് തരും.

31. Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister: therefore wil I giue her cup into thine hand.

32. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനീ സഹോദരിയുടെ കുഴിയും വട്ടവും ഉള്ള പാനപാത്രത്തില്നിന്നു കുടിച്ചു നിന്ദെക്കും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും വിഷയമായ്തീരും; അതില് വളരെ കൊള്ളുമല്ലോ.

32. Thus saith ye Lord God, Thou shalt drinke of thy sisters cup, deepe and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorne and had in derision, because it containeth much.

33. സ്തംഭനവും ശൂന്യതയുമുള്ള പാനപാത്രമായി നിന്റെ സഹോദരി ശമര്യ്യരുടെ പാനപാത്രമായ ലഹരിയും ദുഃഖവുംകൊണ്ടു നീ നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

33. Thou shalt be filled with drunkennes and sorow, euen with the cup of destruction, and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.

34. നീ അതു കുടിച്ചു വറ്റിച്ചു ഉടെച്ചു കഷണങ്ങളെ നക്കി നിന്റെ മുലകളെ കീറിക്കളയും; ഞാന് അതു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

34. Thou shalt euen drinke it, and wring it out to the dregges, and thou shalt breake the sheards thereof, and teare thine owne breasts: for I haue spoken it, sayth the Lord God.

35. ആകയാല് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുനീ എന്നെ മറന്നു എന്നെ നിന്റെ പിറകില് എറിഞ്ഞുകളകകൊണ്ടു നീ നിന്റെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദയും പരസംഗവും വഹിക്ക.

35. Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behinde thy backe, therefore thou shalt also beare thy wickednes and thy whoredome.

36. പിന്നെയും യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുമനുഷ്യപുത്രാ, നീ ഒഹൊലയെയും ഒഹൊലീബയെയും ന്യായംവിധിക്കുമോ? എന്നാല് അവരുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെ അവരോടു അറിയിക്ക.

36. The Lord sayd moreouer vnto me, Sonne of man, wilt thou iudge Aholah and Aholibah? and wilt thou declare to them their abominations?

37. അവര് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു, അവരുടെ കയ്യില് രക്തം ഉണ്ടു; തങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളോടു അവര് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു; അവര് എനിക്കു പ്രസവിച്ച മക്കളെ അവേക്കു ഭോജനമായി അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

37. For they haue played the whores, and blood is in their hands, and with their idoles haue they committed adulterie, and haue also caused their sonnes, whome they bare vnto me, to passe by the fire to be their meate.

38. ഒന്നുകൂടെ അവര് എന്നോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നുഅന്നാളില് തന്നേ അവര് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ തീണ്ടിച്ചു എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി.

38. Moreouer, thus haue they done vnto me: they haue defiled my Sanctuarie in the same day, and haue prophaned my Sabbaths.

39. അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്ക്കു വേണ്ടി കൊന്ന ശേഷം അന്നു തന്നേ അവര് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിലേക്കു വന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെയത്രേ അവര് എന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവില് ചെയ്തതു.

39. For when they had slaine their children to their idoles, they came the same day into my Sanctuarie to defile it: and loe, thus haue they done in the middes of mine house.

40. ഇതുകൂടാതെ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വന്ന പുരുഷന്മാര്ക്കും അവര് ആളയച്ചു; ഒരു ദൂതന് അവരുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്ന ഉടനെ അവര് വന്നു; അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി നീ കുളിച്ചു, കണ്ണില് മഷി എഴുതി, ആഭരണം അണിഞ്ഞു,

40. And howe much more is it that they sent for men to come from farre vnto whom a messenger was sent, and loe, they came? for whome thou diddest wash thy selfe, and paintedst thine eyes, and deckedst thee with ornaments,

41. ഭംഗിയുള്ളോരു കട്ടിലിന്മേല് ഇരുന്നു, അതിന്റെ മുമ്പില് ഒരു മേശ ഒരുക്കി, അതിന്മേല് എന്റെ കുന്തുരുക്കവും എണ്ണയും വെച്ചു;

41. And satest vpon a costly bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oyle.

42. നിര്ഭയമായിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ ഘോഷം അവളോടു കൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ജനസമൂഹത്തിലെ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് അവര് ആളയച്ചു, മരുഭൂമിയില്നിന്നു കുടിയന്മാരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവര് അവരുടെ കൈകൂ വളയിടുകയും തലയില് ഭംഗിയുള്ള കിരീടങ്ങള് വെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

42. And a voyce of a multitude being at ease, was with her: and with the men to make the company great were brought men of Saba from the wildernes, which put bracelets vpon their hands, and beautifull crownes vpon their heads.

43. അപ്പോള് ഞാന് കിഴവിയായവള് വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യും; ഇപ്പോള് അവര് അവളോടും അവള് അവരോടും പരസംഗം ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

43. Then I sayd vnto her, that was olde in adulteries, Now shall she and her fornications come to an end.

44. അങ്ങനെ വേശ്യയുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് അവളുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നു; അതെ അവര് കാമുകികളായ ഒഹൊലയുടെ അടുക്കലും ഒഹൊലീബയുടെ അടുക്കലും ചെന്നു.

44. And they went in vnto her as they goe to a common harlot: so went they to Aholah and Aholibah the wicked women.

45. എന്നാല് നീതിമാന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാര് വ്യഭിചാരിണികള്ക്കു തക്ക ന്യായപ്രകാരവും രക്തപാതകികള്ക്കു തക്ക ന്യായപ്രകാരവും അവരെ ന്യായം വിധിക്കും; അവര് വ്യഭിചാരിണികളല്ലോ; അവരുകട കയ്യില് രക്തവും ഉണ്ടു.

45. And ye righteous men they shall iudge them, after the maner of harlots, and after the maner of murtherers: for they are harlots, and blood is in their hands.

46. യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് അവരുടെ നേരെ ഒരു സഭ കൂട്ടി അവരെ പരിഭ്രമത്തിന്നും കവര്ച്ചെക്കും ഏല്പിക്കും.

46. Wherefore thus sayth the Lord God, I will bring a multitude vpon them, and will giue them vnto the tumult, and to the spoyle,

47. ആ സഭ അവരെ കല്ലെറിഞ്ഞു വാള്കൊണ്ടു വെട്ടിക്കളയും; അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവര് കൊന്നു അവരുടെ വീടുകളെ തീവെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയും.

47. And the multitude shall stone them with stones, and cut them with their swordes: they shall slay their sonnes, and their daughters, and burne vp their houses with fire.

48. ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദപോലെ ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാന് സകലസ്ത്രീകളുടെ ഒരു പാഠം പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന് ദുര്മ്മര്യാദ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും.

48. Thus will I cause wickednesse to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to doe after your wickednesse.

49. അങ്ങനെ അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുര്മ്മര്യാദെക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ ചുമക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ഞാന് യഹോവയായ കര്ത്താവു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയും.
