1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു

1. The Lord said to Moses,

2. നീ അഹരോനോടും പുത്രന്മാരോടും എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടും പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്യഹോവ കല്പിച്ച കാര്യം ആവിതു

2. 'Say to Aaron and his sons and to all the people of Israel, 'This is what the Lord has told us to do.

3. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തില് ആരെങ്കിലും കാളയെയോ ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയെയോ കോലാടിനെയോ പാളയത്തില്വെച്ചെങ്കിലും പാളയത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുവെച്ചെങ്കിലും അറുക്കയും

3. If any man of the house of Israel kills a bull, lamb or goat, among the tents or away from the tents,

4. അതിനെ യഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പില് യഹോവേക്കു വഴിപാടായി അര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അതു അവന്നു രക്തപാതകമായി എണ്ണേണം; അവന് രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചു; ആ മനുഷ്യനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

4. and has not brought it to the door of the meeting tent to give it to the Lord, he will be guilty for that blood, and will not be among God's people.

5. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള് വെളിന് പ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അര്പ്പിച്ചു വരുന്ന യാഗങ്ങളെ യഹോവേക്കു സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളായി അര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയില് കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

5. The reason is so that the people of Israel may bring their gifts which were killed in the open field to the Lord, to the religious leader at the door of the meeting tent. Then they can be given as peace gifts to the Lord.

6. പുരോഹിതന് അവയുടെ രക്തം സമാഗമന കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് തളിച്ചു മേദസ്സു യഹോവേക്കു സൌരഭ്യവാസനയായി ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണം.

6. The religious leader will put the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the meeting tent. And he will burn the fat for a pleasing smell to the Lord.

7. അവര് പരസംഗമായി പിന്തുടരുന്ന ഭൂതങ്ങള്ക്കു ഇനി തങ്ങളുടെ ബലികള് അര്പ്പിക്കരുതു; ഇതു തലമുറതലമുറയായി അവര്ക്കും എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള ചട്ടം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

7. So they will no longer give their gifts to the goat-like gods to whom they sell themselves. This will be a Law to them for all their people forever.'

8. നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും ഹോമയാഗമോ ഹനനയാഗമോ അര്പ്പിക്കയും

8. 'Then say to them, 'Any man of the house of Israel, or visiting from another land, who gives a burnt gift or other gift,

9. അതു യഹോവേക്കു അര്പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതില്ക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

9. and does not bring it to the door of the meeting tent to give it to the Lord, will be cut off from his people.

10. യിസ്രായേല്ഗൃഹത്തിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും വല്ല രക്തവും ഭക്ഷിച്ചാല് രക്തം ഭക്ഷിച്ചവന്റെ നേരെ ഞാന് ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു അവനെ അവന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.

10. 'If any man of the house of Israel, or visiting from another land, eats any blood, I will turn against that person who eats blood, and he will not be among God's people.

11. മാംസത്തിന്റെ ജീവന് രക്തത്തില് അല്ലോ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു; യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിപ്പാന് ഞാന് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; രക്തമല്ലോ ജീവന് മൂലമായി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം ആകുന്നതു.

11. For the life of the flesh is in the blood. I have given it to you on the altar to make your souls free from sin. For the blood makes you free from sin because of the life in it.'

12. അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ നിങ്ങളില് യാതൊരുത്തനും രക്തം ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശിയും രക്തം ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല് മക്കളോടു കല്പിച്ചതു.

12. So I have said to the people of Israel, 'None of you should eat blood. And the man who visits you from another land should not eat blood.'

13. യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളിലോ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് പാര്ക്കുംന്ന പരദേശികളിലോ ആരെങ്കിലും തിന്നാകുന്ന ഒരു മൃഗത്തെയോ പക്ഷിയെയോ വേട്ടയാടി പിടിച്ചാല് അവന് അതിന്റെ രക്തം കളഞ്ഞു മണ്ണിട്ടു മൂടേണം.

13. If any man from the people of Israel, or from other people living among them, catches an animal or bird which may be eaten, he should pour out its blood and cover it with dust.

14. സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ജീവന് അതിന്റെ ജീവാധാരമായ രക്തം തന്നേ. അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ ഞാന് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടുയാതൊരു ജഡത്തിന്റെ രക്തവും നിങ്ങള് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചതു; സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ജീവന് അതിന്റെ രക്തമല്ലോ; അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനെയെല്ലാം ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

14. 'For blood is the life of every living thing. So I said to the people of Israel, 'Do not eat the blood of any living thing. For the life of every living thing is its blood. Whoever eats it will be cut off.'

15. താനേ ചത്തതിനെയോ പറിച്ചുകീറിപ്പോയതിനെയോ തിന്നുന്നവനൊക്കെയും സ്വദേശിയായാലും പരദേശിയായാലും വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി വെള്ളത്തില് കുളിക്കയും സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കയും വേണം; പിന്നെ അവന് ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളവനാകും.

15. Every person, both living in the land or one who has come from another land, who eats an animal that dies or is killed by wild animals, must wash his clothes and wash himself in water. He will be unclean until evening. Then he will be clean.

16. വസ്ത്രം അലക്കാതെയും ദേഹം കഴുകാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് അവന് കുറ്റം വഹിക്കേണം.

16. But if he does not wash them or wash his body, he will suffer for his own sin.'
