1. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുഅഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാല്പുരോഹിതന് തന്റെ ജനത്തില് ഒരുവന്റെ ശവത്താല് തന്നെത്താന് മലിനമാക്കരുതു.

1. And the Lord said vnto Moses, Speake vnto the Priestes the sonnes of Aaron, and say vnto them, Let none be defiled by the dead among his people,

2. എന്നാല് തന്റെ അമ്മ, അപ്പന് , മകന് , മകള്, സഹോദരന് ,

2. But by his kinseman that is neere vnto him: to wit, by his mother, or by his father, or by his sonne, or by his daughter, or by his brother,

3. തനിക്കടുത്തവളും ഭര്ത്താവില്ലാത്ത കന്യകയുമായ സഹോദരി എന്നിങ്ങിനെയുള്ള ഉററ ചാര്ച്ചക്കാരാല് അവന്നു മലിനനാകാം.

3. Or by his sister a maid, that is neere vnto him, which hath not had a husband: for her he may lament.

4. അവന് തന്റെ ജനത്തില് പ്രമാണിയായിരിക്കയാല് തന്നെത്താന് മലിനമാക്കി അശുദ്ധനാക്കരുതു.

4. He shall not lament for the Prince among his people, to pollute him selfe.

5. അവര് തലമുടി വടിക്കയും താടിയുടെ അറ്റം കത്രിക്കയും ശരീരത്തില് മുറിവുണ്ടാക്കുകയും അരുതു;

5. They shall not make balde partes vpon their head, nor shaue off the locks of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

6. തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനമായ യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങള് അര്പ്പിക്കുന്നു; ആകയാല് അവര് വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം.

6. They shalbe holy vnto their God, and not pollute the name of their God: for the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God they doe offer: therefore they shalbe holie.

7. വേശ്യയെയോ ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരത്തിയെയോ അവര് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കരുതു; ഭര്ത്താവു ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞവളെയും വിവാഹം കഴിക്കരുതു; അവന് തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിശുദ്ധന് ആകുന്നു.

7. They shall not take to wife an whore, or one polluted, neither shall they marrie a woman diuorced from her husband: for such one is holy vnto his God.

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണം; അവന് നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു ഭോജനം അര്പ്പിക്കുന്നവനാകയാല് നീ അവനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണം; അവന് നിനക്കു വിശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; നിങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയായ ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധന് ആകുന്നു.

8. Thou shalt sanctifie him therefore, for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy vnto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctifie you, am holy.

9. പുരോഹിതന്റെ മകള് ദുര്ന്നടപ്പു ചെയ്തു തന്നെത്താന് അശുദ്ധയാക്കിയാല് അവള് തന്റെ അപ്പനെ അശുദ്ധനാക്കുന്നു; അവളെ തീയില് ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയേണം.

9. If a Priestes daughter fall to play the whore, she polluteth her father: therefore shall she be burnt with fire.

10. അഭിഷേകതൈലം തലയില് ഒഴിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനും വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പാന് പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനുമായി തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരില് മഹാ പുരോഹിതനായവന് തന്റെ തലമുടി പിച്ചിപ്പറിക്കയും വസ്ത്രം കീറുകയും അരുതു.

10. Also ye hie Priest among his brethren, (vpon whose head the anointing oyle was powred, and hath consecrated his hand to put on the garments) shall not vncouer his head, nor rent his clothes,

11. അവന് യാതൊരു ശവത്തോടും അടുക്കുകയും തന്റെ അപ്പനാലോ അമ്മയാലോ അശുദ്ധനാകയും അരുതു.

11. Neither shall he goe to any dead bodie, nor make him selfe vncleane by his father or by his mother,

12. വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരം വിട്ടു അവന് പുറത്തിറങ്ങുകയും തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരം അശുദ്ധമാക്കുകയും അരുതു; അവന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അഭിഷേകതൈലമായ സംസ്കാരം അവന്റെ മേല് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

12. Neither shall he goe out of the Sanctuarie, nor pollute the holy place of his God: for the crowne of the anoynting oyle of his God is vpon him: I am the Lord.

13. കന്യകയായ സ്ത്രീയെ മാത്രമേ അവന് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കാവു.

13. Also he shall take a maide vnto his wife:

14. വിധവ, ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവള്, ദുര്ന്നടപ്പുകാരത്തി, വേശ്യ ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ അവന് വിവാഹം കഴിക്കരുതു; സ്വജനത്തിലുള്ള കന്യകയെ മാത്രമേ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കാവു.

14. But a widowe, or a diuorced woman, or a polluted, or an harlot, these shall he not marrie, but shall take a maide of his owne people to wife:

15. അവന് തന്റെ സന്തതിയെ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയില് അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു; ഞാന് അവനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

15. Neyther shall he defile his seede among his people: for I am the Lord which sanctifie him.

16. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുനീ അഹരോനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്

16. And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

17. നിന്റെ സന്തതിയില് അംഗഹീനനായവന് നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനം അര്പ്പിപ്പാന് ഒരിക്കലും അടുത്തുവരരുതു.

17. Speake vnto Aaron, and say, Whosoeuer of thy seede in their generations hath any blemishes, shall not prease to offer the bread of his God:

18. അംഗഹീനനായ യാതൊരുത്തനും അടുത്തുവരരുതു; കുരുടന് , മുടന്തന് ,

18. For whosoeuer hath any blemish, shall not come neere: as a man blinde or lame, or that hath a flat nose, or that hath any misshapen member,

19. പതിമക്കൂന് , അധികാംഗന് , കാലൊടിഞ്ഞവന് , കയ്യൊടിഞ്ഞവന് ,

19. Or a man that hath a broken foote, or a broken hande,

20. കൂനന് , മുണ്ടന് , പൂക്കണ്ണന് , ചൊറിയന് , പൊരിച്ചുണങ്ങന് , ഷണ്ഡന് എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരും അരുതു.

20. Or is crooke backt, or bleare eyed, or hath a blemish in his eye, or be skiruie, or skabbed, or haue his stones broken.

21. പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന്റെ സന്തതിയില് അംഗഹീനനായ ഒരുത്തനും യഹോവയുടെ ദഹനയാഗങ്ങള് അര്പ്പിപ്പാന് അടുത്തു വരരുതു; അവന് അംഗഹീനന് ; അവന് തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനം അര്പ്പിപ്പാന് അടുത്തുവരരുതു.

21. None of the seede of Aaron the Priest that hath a blemish, shall come neere to offer the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire, hauing a blemish: he shall not prease to offer the bread of his God.

22. തന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭോജനമായ അതിപിരിശുദ്ധമായവയും വിശുദ്ധമായവയും അവന്നു ഭക്ഷിക്കാം.

22. The bread of his God, euen of the most holie, and of the holy shall he eate:

23. എങ്കിലും തിരശ്ശീലയുടെ അടുക്കല് ചെല്ലുകയും യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കല് അടുത്തുവരികയും അരുതു; അവന് അംഗഹീനനല്ലോ; അവന് എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധസാധനങ്ങളെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു; ഞാന് അവരെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

23. But he shall not goe in vnto the vaile, nor come neere the altar, because hee hath a blemish, least he pollute my Sanctuaries: for I am the Lord that sanctifie them.

24. മോശെ ഇതു അഹരോനോടും പുത്രന്മാരോടും എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടും പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Thus spake Moses vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel.
