1. ഒരുത്തന് സത്യവാചകം കേട്ടിട്ടു, താന് സാക്ഷിയായി കാണുകയോ അറികയോ ചെയ്തതു അറിയിക്കാതെ അങ്ങനെ പാപം ചെയ്താല് അവന് തന്റെ കുറ്റം വഹിക്കേണം.

1. And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and he is a witness or has seen or been conscious, if he does not report it, he shall bear his iniquity.

2. ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത കാട്ടുമൃഗത്തിന്റെ പിണമോ ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത നാട്ടുമൃഗത്തിന്റെ പിണമോ ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത ഇഴജാതിയുടെ പിണമോ ഇങ്ങനെ വല്ല അശുദ്ധവസ്തുവും ഒരുത്തന് തൊടുകയും അതു അവന്നു മറവായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അവന് അശുദ്ധനും കുറ്റക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു.

2. That soul which shall touch any unclean thing, or carcass, or [that which is] unclean being taken of beasts, or the dead bodies of abominable [reptiles] which are unclean, or carcasses of unclean cattle,

3. അല്ലെങ്കില് യാതൊരു അശുദ്ധിയാലെങ്കിലും അശുദ്ധനായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ അശുദ്ധിയെ ഒരുത്തന് തൊടുകയും അതു അവന്നു മറവായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അതു അറിയുമ്പോള് അവന് കുറ്റക്കാരനാകും.

3. or should touch the uncleanness of a man, or whatever kind, which he may touch and be defiled by, and it should have escaped him, but afterwards he should know, then he shall have transgressed.

4. അല്ലെങ്കില് മനുഷ്യന് നിര്വ്വിചാരമായി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ദോഷം ചെയ്വാനോ ഗുണം ചെയ്വാനോ ഒരുത്തന് തന്റെ അധരങ്ങള് കൊണ്ടു നിര്വ്വിചാരമായി സത്യം ചെയ്കയും അതു അവന്നു മറവായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അവന് അതു അറിയുമ്പോള് അങ്ങനെയുള്ള കാര്യത്തില് അവന് കുറ്റക്കാരനാകും.

4. That unrighteous soul, which determines with his lips to do evil or to do good according to whatsoever a man may determine with an oath, and it shall have escaped his notice, and he shall [afterwards] know [it], and [so] he should sin in one of these things;

5. ആ വക കാര്യത്തില് അവന് കുറ്റക്കാരനാകുമ്പോള് താന് പാപം ചെയ്തു എന്നു അവന് ഏറ്റുപറയേണം.

5. then shall he declare his sin in the things in which he has sinned by that sin.

6. താന് ചെയ്ത പാപം നിമിത്തം അവന് യഹോവേക്കു അകൃത്യയാഗമായി ചെമ്മരിയാട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയോ കോലാട്ടിന് കുട്ടിയോ ആയ ഒരു പെണ്ണാട്ടിനെ പാപയാഗമായി കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; പുരോഹിതന് അവന്നുവേണ്ടി അവന്റെ പാപം നിമിത്തം പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം.

6. And he shall bring for his transgressions against the Lord, for his sin which he has sinned, a ewe lamb of the flock, or a kid of the goats, for a sin-offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him for his sin which he has sinned, and his sin shall be forgiven him.

7. ആട്ടിന് കുട്ടിക്കു അവന്നു വകയില്ലെങ്കില് താന് ചെയ്ത പാപം നിമിത്തം അവന് രണ്ടു കുറുപ്രാവിനെയോ രണ്ടു പ്രാവിന് കുഞ്ഞിനെയോ ഒന്നിനെ പാപയാഗമായും മറ്റേതിനെ ഹോമയാഗമായും യഹോവേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

7. And if he cannot afford a sheep, he shall bring for his sin which he has sinned, two turtle doves or two young pigeons to the Lord: one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

8. അവന് അവയെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടു വരേണം; അവന് പാപയാഗത്തിന്നുള്ളതിനെ മുമ്പെ അര്പ്പിച്ചു അതിന്റെ തല കഴുത്തില്നിന്നു പിരിച്ചുപറിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് രണ്ടായി പിളര്ക്കരുതു.

8. And he shall bring them to the priest, and the priest shall bring the sin-offering first; and the priest shall pinch off the head from the neck, and shall not divide the body.

9. അവന് പാപയാഗത്തിന്റെ രക്തം കുറെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ പാര്ശ്വത്തില് തളിക്കേണം; ശേഷം രക്തം യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ ചുവട്ടില് പിഴിഞ്ഞുകളയേണം; ഇതു പാപയാഗം.

9. And he shall sprinkle of the blood of the sin-offering on the side of the altar, but the rest of the blood he shall drop at the foot of the altar, for it is a sin-offering.

10. രണ്ടാമത്തെതിനെ അവന് നിയമപ്രകാരം ഹോമയാഗമായി അര്പ്പിക്കേണം; ഇങ്ങനെ പുരോഹിതന് അവന് ചെയ്ത പാപംനിമിത്തം അവന്നുവേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.

10. And he shall make the second a whole burnt offering, as it is fit; and the priest shall make atonement for his sin which he has sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.

11. രണ്ടു കുറുപ്രാവിന്നോ രണ്ടു പ്രാവിന് കുഞ്ഞിന്നോ അവന്നു വകയില്ലെങ്കില് പാപം ചെയ്തവന് പാപയാഗത്തിന്നു ഒരിടങ്ങഴി നേരിയ മാവു വഴിപാടായി കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; അതു പാപയാഗം ആകകൊണ്ടു അതിന്മേല് എണ്ണ ഒഴിക്കരുതു; കുന്തുരുക്കം ഇടുകയും അരുതു.

11. And if he cannot afford a pair of turtle doves, or two young pigeons, then shall he bring as his gift for his sin, the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin-offering; he shall not pour oil upon it, nor shall he put frankincense upon it, because it is a sin-offering.

12. അവന് അതു പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുവരേണംപുരോഹിതന് നിവേദ്യമായി അതില്നിന്നു കൈ നിറച്ചെടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേല് യഹോവേക്കുള്ള ദഹനയാഗങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണം; ഇതു പാപയാഗം.

12. And he shall bring it to the priest; and the priest, having taken a handful of it, shall lay the memorial of it on the altar of whole burnt offerings to the Lord: it is a sin-offering.

13. ഇങ്ങനെ പുരോഹിതന് ആവക കാര്യത്തില് അവന് ചെയ്ത പാപം നിമിത്തം അവന്നുവേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും; ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളതു ഭോജനയാഗം പോലെ പുരോഹിതന്നു ഇരിക്കേണം.

13. And the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin, which he has sinned in one of these things, and it shall be forgiven him; and that which is left shall be the priest's, as an offering of fine flour.

14. യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാല്

14. And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

15. ആരെങ്കിലും യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു അബദ്ധവശാല് അതിക്രമം ചെയ്തു പിഴെച്ചു എങ്കില് അവന് തന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിലെ തൂക്കപ്രകാരം നീ മതിക്കുന്ന വിലെക്കുള്ളതായി ഊനമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെ അകൃത്യയാഗമായി യഹോവേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

15. The soul which shall be really unconscious, and shall sin unwillingly in any of the holy things of the Lord, shall even bring to the Lord for his transgression, a ram of the flock without blemish, valued according to shekels of silver according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for his [transgression] in which he transgressed.

16. വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു താന് പിഴെച്ചതിന്നു പകരം മുതലും അതിനോടു അഞ്ചിലൊന്നു കൂട്ടിയും അവന് പുരോഹിതന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം; പുരോഹിതന് അകൃത്യയാഗത്തിന്നുള്ള ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെക്കൊണ്ടു അവന്നു വേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.

16. And he shall make compensation for that in which he has sinned in the holy things; and he shall add the fifth part to it, and give it to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of transgression, and [his sin] shall be forgiven him.

17. ചെയ്യരുതെന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള വല്ലകാര്യത്തിലും ആരെങ്കിലും പിഴെച്ചിട്ടു അവന് അറിയാതിരുന്നാലും കുറ്റക്കാരനാകുന്നു; അവന് തന്റെ കുറ്റം വഹിക്കേണം.

17. And the soul which shall sin, and do one thing [against] any of the commandments of the Lord, which it is not right to do, and has not known it, and shall have transgressed, and shall have contracted guilt,

18. അവന് അകൃത്യയാഗത്തിന്നായി നിന്റെ മതിപ്പുപോലെ ഊനമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടു വരേണം; അവന് അബദ്ധവശാല് പിഴെച്ചതും അറിയാതിരുന്നതുമായ പിഴെക്കായി പുരോഹിതന് അവന്നുവേണ്ടി പ്രായശ്ചിത്തം കഴിക്കേണം; എന്നാല് അതു അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.

18. he shall even bring a ram without blemish from the flock, [valued] at a price of silver for his transgression to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for his trespass of ignorance, wherein he ignorantly trespassed, and he knew it not; and it shall be forgiven him.

19. ഇതു അകൃത്യയാഗം; അവന് യഹോവയോടു അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

19. For he has surely been guilty of transgression before the Lord.
