1. കിടക്കമേല് നീതികേടു നിരൂപിച്ചു തിന്മ പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അവര്ക്കും പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു പുലരുമ്പോള് തന്നേ അവര് അതു നടത്തുന്നു.

1. Woe to those who devise wickedness and do evil on their beds! In the morning light they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.

2. അവര് വയലുകളെ മോഹിച്ചു പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കുന്നു; അവര് വീടുകളെ മോഹിച്ചു കൈക്കലാക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അവര് പുരുഷനെയും അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തെയും മനുഷ്യനെയും അവന്റെ അവകാശത്തെയും പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

2. And they covet and seize fields and houses, and carry them away. And they oppress a man and his household, even a man and his inheritance.

3. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ഈ വംശത്തിന്റെ നേരെ അനര്ത്ഥം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; അതില്നിന്നു നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളുടെ കഴുത്തുകളെ വിടുവിക്കയില്ല, നിവിര്ന്നുനടക്കയുമില്ല; ഇതു ദുഷ്കാലമല്ലോ.

3. Therefore thus says Jehovah: Behold, I am devising evil against this family, from which you shall not remove your necks; nor shall you walk haughtily, for this is an evil time.

4. അന്നാളില് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു പരിഹാസവാക്യം ചൊല്ലുകയും ഒരു വിലാപം വിലപിക്കയും ചെയ്തുകഥ കഴിഞ്ഞു; നമുക്കു പൂര്ണ്ണ സംഹാരം ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന് എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഔഹരി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവന് അതു എന്റെ പക്കല്നിന്നു എങ്ങനെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; വിശ്വാസത്യാഗികള്ക്കു അവന് നമ്മുടെ വയലുകളെ വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയും;

4. In that day one shall take up a parable against you and wail a mournful lamentation, saying, We are devastated in utter ruin. He has changed the possession of my people. How He has removed it from me! To the turncoat He has divided the fields.

5. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ സഭയില് ഔഹരിമേല് അളവുനൂല് പിടിപ്പാന് നിനക്കു ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

5. Therefore you will not have one to cast a measuring line by lot in the assembly of Jehovah.

6. പ്രസംഗിക്കരുതെന്നു അവര് പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു; ഇവയെക്കുറിച്ചു അവര് പ്രസംഗിക്കേണ്ടതല്ല; അവരുടെ ആക്ഷേപങ്ങള് ഒരിക്കലും തീരുകയില്ല.

6. Do not prophesy as you prophesy, you say. So they shall not prophesy to you; they shall not take away reproaches.

7. യാക്കോബ്ഗൃഹമേ, ഇതെന്തൊരു വാക്കാകുന്നു? യഹോവ മുന് കോപിയോ? അങ്ങനെയോ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികള്? നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവന്നു എന്റെ വചനങ്ങള് ഗണകരമല്ലയോ?

7. You who are named House of Jacob, is the Spirit of Jehovah limited? Are these His doings? Do not My Words do good to the one who walks uprightly?

8. മുമ്പെതന്നേ എന്റെ ജനം ശത്രുവായി എഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; യുദ്ധവിമുഖന്മാരായി നിര്ഭയന്മാരായി കടന്നു പോകുന്നവരുടെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്മേല്നിന്നു നിങ്ങള് പുതെപ്പു വലിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു.

8. Even recently My people have risen up like an enemy. You strip off an inner robe before an outer garment, from those who pass by securely, as those returning from war.

9. നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സ്ത്രീകളെ അവരുടെ സുഖകരമായ വീടുകളില്നിന്നു ഇറക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ പൈതങ്ങളോടു നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ മഹത്വം സദാകാലത്തേക്കും അപഹരിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

9. You have thrown the women of My people out from their pleasant houses; you have taken away My honor forever from their children.

10. പുറപ്പെട്ടു പോകുവിന് ; നാശത്തിന്നു, കഠിനനാശത്തിന്നു കാരണമായിരിക്കുന്ന മാലിന്യംനിമിത്തം ഇതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിശ്രാമസ്ഥലമല്ല.

10. Rise up and depart. This is not your rest, for it is unclean. It shall destroy with grievous destruction.

11. ഒരുത്തന് കാറ്റിനെയും വ്യാജത്തെയും പിന് ചെന്നുഞാന് വീഞ്ഞിനെക്കുറിച്ചും മദ്യപാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും നിന്നോടു പ്രസംഗിക്കും എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള വ്യാജം പറഞ്ഞാല് അവന് ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു ഒരു പ്രസംഗിയായിരിക്കും.

11. If a man walks with a spirit of deception and lies saying, I will prophesy to you for wine and for strong drink, he shall even be a prophet for this people.

12. യാക്കോബേ, ഞാന് നിനക്കുള്ളവരെ ഒക്കെയും ചേര്ത്തുകൊള്ളും; യിസ്രായേലില് ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവരെ ഞാന് ശേഖരിക്കും; തൊഴുത്തിലെ ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ, മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെ ആട്ടിന് കൂട്ടത്തെപ്പോലെ ഞാന് അവരെ ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂട്ടും; ആള്പെരുപ്പം ഹേതുവായി അവിടെ മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടാകും.

12. I will collect and gather all of you, O Jacob; I will collect and gather the remnant of Israel. I will set them together like the sheep of the fold, like a flock in the middle of their pasture. They shall be in commotion because of the multitude of people.

13. തകര്ക്കുംന്നവന് അവര്ക്കും മുമ്പായി പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; അവര് തകര്ത്തു ഗോപുരത്തില്കൂടി കടക്കയും പുറപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും; അവരുടെ രാജാവു അവര്ക്കും മുമ്പായും യഹോവ അവരുടെ തലെക്കലും നടക്കും.

13. The one who breaks through comes before them; they break through and pass through the gate and go out by it. And their king shall pass before them, and Jehovah at their head.
