1. അന്നു യേശു വീട്ടില് നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു കടലരികെ ഇരുന്നു.

1. The same daye wente Iesus out of ye house, and sat by the see syde,

2. വളരെ പുരുഷാരം അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് വന്നുകൂടുകകൊണ്ടു അവന് പടകില് കയറി ഇരുന്നു; പുരുഷാരം എല്ലാം കരയില് ഇരുന്നു.

2. & moch people resorted vnto him: so yt he wete in to a shyppe and satt him downe, and all the people stode vpo the shore.

3. അവന് അവരോടു പലതും ഉപമകളായി പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതെന്തന്നാല്“വിതെക്കുന്നവന് വിതെപ്പാന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

3. And he spake many thinges vnto the in symilitudes, sayenge: Beholde, The sower wente forth to sowe:

4. വിതെക്കുമ്പോള് ചിലതു വഴിയരികെ വിണു; പറവകള് വന്നു അതു തിന്നു കളഞ്ഞു.

4. and as he sowed, some fell by the waye syde: Then came the foules, & ate it vp.

5. ചിലതു പാറസ്ഥലത്തു ഏറെ മണ്ണില്ലാത്ത ഇടത്തു വീണു; മണ്ണിന്നു താഴ്ചയില്ലായ്കയാല് ക്ഷണത്തില് മുളെച്ചുവന്നു.

5. Some fell vpon stony grounde, & anone it spronge vp, because it had no depth of earth:

6. സൂര്യന് ഉദിച്ചാറെ ചൂടുതട്ടി, വേര് ഇല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

6. But whan the Sonne arose, it caught heate: and for so moch as it had no rote, it withred awaye.

7. മറ്റു ചിലതു മുള്ളിന്നിടയില് വീണു; മുള്ളു മുളെച്ചു വളര്ന്നു അതിനെ ഞെരുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

7. Some fell amoge the thornes, & the thornes grewe vp, and choked it.

8. മറ്റു ചിലതു നല്ല നിലത്തു വീണു, നൂറും അറുപതും മുപ്പതും മേനിയായി വിളഞ്ഞു.

8. Some fell vpo good groude, & gaue frute: some an hundreth folde, some sixtie folde, some thirtie folde.

9. ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.”

9. Who so hath eares to heare, let hi heare.

10. പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അടുക്കെ വന്നുഅവരോടു ഉപമകളായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

10. And the disciples came vnto him, and sayde: Why speakest thou to the by parables?

11. അവന് അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ മര്മ്മങ്ങളെ അറിവാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വരം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര്ക്കോ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

11. He answered and sayde vnto the: Vnto you it is geuen to knowe the mystery of the kingdome of heauen, but vnto them it is not geuen.

12. ഉള്ളവന്നു കൊടുക്കും; അവന്നു സമൃദ്ധിയുണ്ടാകും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടോ അവന്നുള്ളതും കൂടെ എടുത്തുകളയും.

12. For whoso hath, vnto him shal be geue, and he shal haue abundaunce. But who so hath not, from him shalbe taken awaye, eue that he hath.

13. അതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് കണ്ടിട്ടു കാണാതെയും കേട്ടിട്ടു കേള്ക്കാതെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കയാല് ഞാന് ഉപമകളായി അവരോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

13. Therfore speake I vnto the by parables, for with seynge eyes they se not, & with hearinge eares they heare not, for they vnderstonde it not.

14. നിങ്ങള് ചെവിയാല് കേള്ക്കും ഗ്രഹിക്കയില്ലതാനും; കണ്ണാല് കാണും ദര്ശിക്കയില്ലതാനും; ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയം തടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് ചെവികൊണ്ടു മന്ദമായി കേള്ക്കുന്നു; കണ്ണു അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് കണ്ണു കാണാതെയും ചെവി കേള്ക്കാതെയും ഹൃദയം കൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാതെയും ഞാന് അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ
യെശയ്യാ 6:9-10

14. And in them is fulfilled ye prophecie of Esay, which sayeth: Ye shal heare in dede, and shal not vnderstonde: and with seinge eyes shal ye se, and not perceaue.

15. എന്നു യെശയ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞ പ്രവാചകത്തിന്നു അവരില് നിവൃത്തിവരുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 6:9-10

15. For ye hert of this people is waxed grosse, & their eares are thick of hearige, & their eyes haue they closed, lest they shulde once se wt ye eyes, & heare wt the eares, & vnderstode wt the hert, & turne, that I might heale them.

16. എന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളുടെ ചെവി കേള്ക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും ഭാഗ്യമുള്ളവ.

16. But blessed are youre eyes, for they se: & youre eares, for they heare.

17. ഏറിയ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും നീതിമാന്മാരും നിങ്ങള് കാണുന്നതു കാണ്മാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടു കണ്ടില്ല; നിങ്ങള് കേള്ക്കുന്നതു കേള്പ്പാന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടും കേട്ടില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

17. Verely I saye vnto you: Many prophetes & righteous men haue desyred to se ye thinges that ye se, and haue not sene the: and to heare the thinges that ye heare, and haue not herde the.

18. എന്നാല് വിതെക്കുന്നവന്റെ ഉപമ കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് .

18. Heare ye therfore the parable of the sower.

19. ഒരുത്തന് രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കാഞ്ഞാല് ദുഷ്ടന് വന്നു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില് വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതു എടുത്തുകളയുന്നു; ഇതത്രെ വഴിയരികെ വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതു.

19. Whan one heareth ye worde of the kyngdome, and vnderstondeth it not, the euell man cometh, and plucketh it awaye that is sowne in his hert: & this is he yt is sowne by the waye syde.

20. പാറസ്ഥലത്തു വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ, ഒരുത്തന് വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ഉടനെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൈകൊള്ളുന്നതു ആകുന്നു എങ്കിലും വേരില്ലാതിരിക്കയാല് അവന് ക്ഷണികനത്രേ.

20. But he yt is sowne in the stonye grounde, is this: wha one heareth the worde, & anone with ioye receaueth it:

21. വചനംനിമിത്തം ഞെരുക്കമോ ഉപദ്രവമോ നേരിട്ടാല് അവന് ക്ഷണത്തില് ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു.

21. neuertheles he hath no rote i him, but endureth for a season: wha trouble & persecucion aryseth because of the worde, immediatly he his offended.

22. മുള്ളിന്നിടയില് വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ, ഒരുത്തന് വചനം കേള്ക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ചിന്തയും ധനത്തിന്റെ വഞ്ചനയും വചനത്തെ ഞെരുക്കീട്ടു നിഷ്ഫലനായി തീരുന്നതാകുന്നു.

22. As for him that is sowne amonge ye thornes, this is he: Wha one heareth the worde, & the carefulnes of this worlde, & the disceatfulnes of riches choke the worde, & so he becometh vnfrutefull.

23. നല്ല നിലത്തു വിതെക്കപ്പെട്ടതോ ഒരുത്തന് വചനം കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതു ആകുന്നു അതു വിളഞ്ഞു നൂറും അറുപതും മുപ്പതും മേനി നലകുന്നു.”

23. But he yt is sowne in the good grounde, is this: whan one heareth the worde, and vnderstondeth it, and bringeth forth frute: and some geueth an hudreth folde, some sixtie folde, and some thirtie folde.

24. അവന് മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവര്ക്കും പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് തന്റെ നിലത്തു നല്ല വിത്തു വിതെച്ചതിനോടു സദൃശമാകുന്നു.

24. Another parable put he forth vnto the, & sayde: The kyngdome of heaue is like vnto a man, yt sowed good sede in his felde.

25. മനുഷ്യര് ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോള് അവന്റെ ശത്രു വന്നു, കോതമ്പിന്റെ ഇടയില് കള വിതെച്ചു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

25. But whyle me slepte, there came an enemye, and sowed tares amonge ye wheate, & wente his waye.

26. ഞാറു വളര്ന്നു കതിരായപ്പോള് കളയും കാണായ്വന്നു.

26. Now wha the blade was sproge vp & brought forth frute, the ye tares appeared also.

27. അപ്പോള് വീട്ടുടയവന്റെ ദാസന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുയജമാനനേ, വയലില് നല്ലവിത്തല്ലയോ വിതെച്ചതു? പിന്നെ കള എവിടെനിന്നു വന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

27. Then came the seruautes to ye housholder, & sayde vnto him: Syr, sowdest not thou good sede in yi felde? Fro whece the hath it tares?

28. ഇതു ശത്രു ചെയ്തതാകുന്നു എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞങ്ങള് പോയി അതു പറിച്ചുകൂട്ടുവാന് സമ്മതമുണ്ടോ എന്നു ദാസന്മാര് അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

28. He sayde vnto the: that hath the enemye done. The sayde ye seruautes: wilt thou then yt we go & wede the out?

29. അതിന്നു അവന് ഇല്ല, പക്ഷേ കള പറിക്കുമ്പോള് കോതമ്പും കൂടെ പിഴുതുപോകും.

29. He sayde: No, lest whyle ye wede out ye tares, ye plucke vp the wheate also wt the.

30. രണ്ടുംകൂടെ കൊയ്ത്തോളം വളരട്ടെ; കൊയ്ത്തു കാലത്തു ഞാന് കൊയ്യുന്നവരോടു മുമ്പെ കളപറിച്ചു കൂട്ടി ചുട്ടുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു കെട്ടുകളായി കെട്ടുവാനും കോതമ്പു എന്റെ കളപ്പുരയില് കൂട്ടിവെപ്പാനും കല്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

30. Let the both growe together tyll the haruest, and in tyme of haruest I wil saye vnto the reapers: Gather ye tares first, & bynde the in sheeues to be bret: but gather the wheate in to my barne.

31. മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവന് അവര്ക്കും പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുത്തു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം കടുകുമണിയോടു സദൃശം; അതു ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് എടുത്തു തന്റെ വയലില് ഇട്ടു.

31. Another parable put he forth vnto the, and sayde: The kyngdome of heauen is like vnto a grane of mustarde sede, which a man toke, and sowed it in his felde.

32. അതു എല്ലാവിത്തിലും ചെറിയതെങ്കിലും വളര്ന്നു സസ്യങ്ങളില് ഏറ്റവും വലുതായി, ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകള് വന്നു അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളില് വസിപ്പാന് തക്കവണ്ണം വൃക്ഷമായി തീരുന്നു.”

32. Which is the leest amonge all sedes. But whan it is growne, it is the greatest amonge herbes, and is a tre: so that the byrdes vnder the heauen come and dwell in the braunches of it.

33. അവന് മറ്റൊരു ഉപമ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു“സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം പുളിച്ച മാവിനോടു സദൃശം; അതു ഒരു സ്ത്രീ എടുത്തു മൂന്നുപറ മാവില് എല്ലാം പുളിച്ചുവരുവോളം അടക്കിവെച്ചു.”

33. Another parable spake he vnto the: The kyngdome of heaue is like vnto leue, which a woman toke, and myxte it amonge thre peckes of meele, tyll all was leuended.

34. ഇതു ഒക്കെയും യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോടു ഉപമകളായി പറഞ്ഞു; ഉപമ കൂടാതെ അവരോടു ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല

34. All soch thinges spake Iesus vnto ye people by parables, & without parables spake he nothinge vnto the:

35. “ഞാന് ഉപമ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് വായ്തുറക്കും; ലോകസ്ഥാപനം മുതല് ഗൂഢമായതു ഉച്ചരിക്കും” എന്നു പ്രവാചകന് പറഞ്ഞതു നിവൃത്തിയാകുവാന് സംഗതിവന്നു.
സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 78:2

35. yt the thinge might be fulfilled, which was spoke by ye prophet, sayenge: I wil open my mouth in parables, and wil speake out the secretes from the begynnynge of the worlde.

36. അനന്തരം യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു വീട്ടില് വന്നു, ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവന്റെ അടുക്കല് ചെന്നുവയലിലെ കളയുടെ ഉപമ തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു

36. Then sent Iesus the people awaye, and came home. And his disciples came vnto hi, and sayde: Declare vnto us ye parable of ye tares of ye felde.

37. “നല്ല വിത്തു വിതെക്കുന്നവന് മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് ;

37. Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them: He that soweth the good sede, is the sonne of man:

38. വയല് ലോകം; നല്ലവിത്തു രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്;

38. the felde is the worlde: ye good sede are the childre of the kyngdome: The tares are the children of wickednes:

39. കള ദുഷ്ടന്റെ പുത്രന്മാര്; അതു വിതെച്ച ശത്രു പിശാചു; കൊയ്ത്തു ലോകാവസാനം;

39. ye enemye that soweth the, is the deuell: ye haruest is the ende of the worlde: ye reapers are ye angels.

40. കൊയ്യുന്നവര് ദൂതന്മാര് കള കൂട്ടി തീയില് ഇട്ടു ചുടുംപോലെ ലോകാവസാനത്തില് സംഭവിക്കും.

40. For like as ye tares are weded out, and brent in the fyre, eue so shal it go in ye ende of this worlde.

41. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന് തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ അയക്കും; അവര് അവന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില്നിന്നു എല്ലാ ഇടര്ച്ചകളെയും അധര്മ്മം പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരെയും കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തു
സെഫന്യാവു 1:3

41. The sonne of man shal sende forth his angels, & they shal gather out of his kingdome all thinges yt offende, & the yt do iniquyte,

42. തീച്ചൂളയില് ഇട്ടുകളയുകയും, അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.
ദാനീയേൽ 3:6

42. & shal cast the in to a fornace of fyre, there shalbe waylinge and gnasshinge of teth.

43. അന്നു നീതിമാന്മാര് തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില് സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കും. ചെവിയുള്ളവന് കേള്ക്കട്ടെ.
ദാനീയേൽ 12:3

43. The shal the righteous shyne as the Sonne, in the kyngdome of their father. Who so hath eares to heare, let him heare.

44. സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം വയലില് ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ച നിധിയോടു സദൃശം. അതു ഒരു മനുഷ്യന് കണ്ടു മറെച്ചിട്ടു, തന്റെ സന്തോഷത്താല് ചെന്നു തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ആ വയല് വാങ്ങി.

44. Agayne, the kingdome of heauen is like vnto a treasure hyd in the felde, which a ma founde and hid it, and for ioye therof he wete & solde all yt he had, and bought yt felde.

45. പിന്നെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം നല്ല മുത്തു അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വ്യാപാരിയോടു സദൃശം.

45. Agayne, the kyngdome of heauen is like vnto a marchaut, yt sought good pearles:

46. അവന് വിലയേറിയ ഒരു മുത്തു കണ്ടെത്തിയാറെ ചെന്നു തനിക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു അതു വാങ്ങി.

46. & wha he had founde a precious pearle, he wete and solde all that he had, & bought it.

47. പിന്നെയും സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യം കടലില് ഇടുന്നതും എല്ലാവക മീനും പിടിക്കുന്നതുമായോരു വലയോടു സദൃശം.

47. Agayne, ye kyngdome of heaue is like vnto a nett cast in to ye see, wherwith are take all maner of fyshes:

48. നിറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് അവര് അതു വലിച്ചു കരെക്കു കയറ്റി, ഇരുന്നുകൊണ്ടു നല്ലതു പാത്രങ്ങളില് കൂട്ടിവെച്ചു, ചീത്ത എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.

48. & wha it is ful, me drawe it out vnto ye shore, & sytt & gather ye good i to the vessels, but cast the bad awaye.

49. അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ലോകാവസാനത്തില് സംഭവിക്കും; ദൂതന്മാര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില്നിന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ വേര്തിരിച്ചു തീച്ചൂളയില് ഇട്ടുകളയും;

49. So shal it be also in ye ende of ye worlde. The angels shal go out, & seuer the bad fro the righteous,

50. അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.
ദാനീയേൽ 3:6

50. & shal cast the in to a fornace of fyre, there shalbe waylinge & gnasshinge of teth.

51. ഇതെല്ലാം ഗ്രഹിച്ചുവോ?” എന്നതിന്നു അവര് ഉവ്വു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

51. And Iesus sayde vnto them: Haue ye vnderstode all these thinges? They sayde: Yee LORDE.

52. അവന് അവരോടുഅതുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്ഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്നു ശിഷ്യനായിത്തീര്ന്ന ഏതു ശാസ്ത്രിയും തന്റെ നിക്ഷേപത്തില് നിന്നു പുതിയതും പഴയതും എടുത്തു കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരു വീട്ടുടയവനോടു സദൃശനാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

52. Then sayde he vnto the: Therfore euery scribe taught vnto ye kingdome of heauen, is like an houssholder, which bryngeth out of his treasure thinges new and olde.

53. ഈ ഉപമകളെ പറഞ്ഞു തീര്ന്നശേഷം യേശു അവിടം വിട്ടു തന്റെ പിതൃനഗരത്തില് വന്നു, അവരുടെ പള്ളിയില് അവര്ക്കും ഉപദേശിച്ചു.

53. And it came to passe wha Iesus had ended these parables, he departed thence,

54. അവര് വിസ്മയിച്ചുഇവന്നു ഈ ജ്ഞാനവും വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളും എവിടെ നിന്നു?
യെശയ്യാ 52:14

54. and came in to his owne coutre, and taught the in their synagoges: in so moch, that they were astonnyed and sayde: Whece cometh soch wyssdome & power vnto him?

55. ഇവന് തച്ചന്റെ മകന് അല്ലയോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നവളല്ലയോ? ഇവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാര് യാക്കോബ്, യോസെ, ശിമോന് , യൂദാ എന്നവര് അല്ലയോ?

55. Is not this the carpeters sonne? Is not his mother called Mary? and his brethre Iames & Ioses, and Symon and Iude?

56. ഇവന്റെ സഹോദരികളും എല്ലാം നമ്മോടുകൂടെയില്ലയോ? ഇവന്നു ഇതു ഒക്കെയും എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവങ്കല് ഇടറിപ്പോയി.

56. And are not all his sisters here with us? Whence hath he the all these thinges?

57. യേശു അവരോടു“ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് തന്റെ പിതൃനഗരത്തിലും സ്വന്തഭവനത്തിലും അല്ലാതെ ബഹുമാനമില്ലാത്തവന് അല്ല” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

57. And they were offended at him. But Iesus sayde vnto the: A prophet is nowhere lesse sett by, the at home & amonge his owne.

58. അവരുടെ അവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തം അവിടെ വളരെ വീര്യപ്രവര്ത്തികളെ ചെയ്തില്ല.

58. And he dyd not many miracles there, because of their vnbeleue.
