1. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം യേശു പിന്നെയും തിബെര്യ്യാസ് കടല്ക്കരയില് വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; പ്രത്യക്ഷനായതു ഈ വിധം ആയിരുന്നു

1. After this, Yeshua appeared again to the [talmidim] at Lake Tiberias. Here is how it happened:

2. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസും ദിദിമൊസ് എന്ന തോമാസും ഗലീലയിലുള്ള കാനയിലെ നഥനയേലും സെബെദിമക്കളും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് വേറെ രണ്ടുപേരും ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരുന്നു.

2. Shim'on Kefa and T'oma (his name means 'twin') were together with Natan'el from Kanah in the Galil, the sons of Zavdai, and two other [talmidim].

3. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് അവരോടുഞാന് മീന് പിടിപ്പാന് പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞങ്ങളും പോരുന്നു എന്നു അവര് പറഞ്ഞു. അവര് പുറപ്പെട്ടു പടകു കയറി പോയി; ആ രാത്രിയില് ഒന്നും പിടിച്ചില്ല.

3. Shim'on Kefa said, 'I'm going fishing.' They said to him, 'We're coming with you.' They went and got into the boat, but that night they didn't catch anything.

4. പുലര്ച്ച ആയപ്പോള് യേശു കരയില് നിന്നിരുന്നു; യേശു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

4. However, just as day was breaking, Yeshua stood on shore, but the [talmidim] didn't know it was he.

5. യേശു അവരോടുകുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, കൂട്ടുവാന് വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; ഇല്ല എന്നു അവര് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

5. He said to them, 'You don't have any fish, do you?' 'No,' they answered him.

6. പടകിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു വല വീശുവിന് ; എന്നാല് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കിട്ടും എന്നു അവന് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര് വീശി, മീനിന്റെ പെരുപ്പം ഹേതുവായി അതു വലിപ്പാന് കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

6. He said to them, 'Throw in your net to starboard and you will catch some.' So they threw in their net, and there were so many fish in it that they couldn't haul it aboard.

7. യേശു സ്നേഹിച്ച ശിഷ്യന് പത്രൊസിനോടുഅതു കര്ത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കര്ത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് കേട്ടിട്ടു, താന് നഗ്നനാകയാല് അങ്കി അരയില് ചുറ്റി കടലില് ചാടി.

7. The [talmid] Yeshua loved said to Kefa, 'It's the Lord!' On hearing it was the Lord, Shim'on Kefa threw on his coat, because he was stripped for work, and plunged into the lake;

8. ശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാര് കരയില് നിന്നു ഏകദേശം ഇരുനൂറു മുഴത്തില് അധികം ദൂരത്തല്ലായ്കയാല് മീന് നിറഞ്ഞ വല ഇഴെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ചെറിയ പടകില് വന്നു.

8. but the other [talmidim] followed in the boat, dragging the net full of fish; for they weren't far from shore, only about a hundred yards.

9. കരെക്കു ഇറെങ്ങിയപ്പോള് അവര് തീക്കനലും അതിന്മേല് മീന് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും അപ്പവും കണ്ടു.

9. When they stepped ashore, they saw a fire of burning coals with a fish on it, and some bread.

10. യേശു അവരോടുഇപ്പോള് പിടിച്ച മീന് ചിലതു കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10. Yeshua said to them, 'Bring some of the fish you have just caught.'

11. ശിമോന് പത്രൊസ് കയറി നൂറ്റമ്പത്തുമൂന്നു വലിയ മീന് നിറഞ്ഞ വല കരെക്കു വലിച്ചു കയറ്റി; അത്ര വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നിട്ടും വല കീറിയില്ല.

11. Shim'on Kefa went up and dragged the net ashore. It was full of fish, 153 of them; but even with so many, the net wasn't torn.

12. യേശു അവരോടുവന്നു പ്രാതല് കഴിച്ചുകൊള്വിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കര്ത്താവാകുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരില് ഒരുത്തനുംനീ ആര് എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാന് തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.

12. Yeshua said to them, 'Come and have breakfast.' None of the [talmidim] dared to ask him, 'Who are you?' They knew it was the Lord.

13. യേശു വന്നു അപ്പം എടുത്തു അവര്ക്കും കൊടുത്തു; മീനും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ യേശു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യം ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

13. Yeshua came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.

14. യേശു മരിച്ചവരില് നിന്നു ഉയിര്ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നാംപ്രവാശ്യം ശിഷ്യന്മാര്ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

14. This was now the third time Yeshua had appeared to the [talmidim] after being raised from the dead.

15. അവര് പ്രാതല് കഴിച്ചശേഷം യേശു ശിമോന് പത്രൊസിനോടുയോഹന്നാന്റെ മകനായ ശിമോനേ, നീ ഇവരില് അധികമായി എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉവ്വു, കര്ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ മേയ്ക്ക എന്നു അവന് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. After breakfast, Yeshua said to Shim'on Kefa, 'Shim'on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me more than these?' He replied, 'Yes, Lord, you know I'm your friend.' He said to him, 'Feed my lambs.'

16. രണ്ടാമതും അവനോടുയോഹന്നാന്റെ മകനായ ശിമോനേ, നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവന് ഉവ്വു കര്ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്റെ ആടുകളെ പാലിക്ക എന്നു അവന് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

16. A second time he said to him, 'Shim'on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me?' He replied, 'Yes, Lord, you know I'm your friend.' He said to him, 'Shepherd my sheep.'

17. മൂന്നാമതും അവനോടുയോഹന്നാന്റെ മകനായ ശിമോനേ, നിനക്കു എന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടോ എന്നു മൂന്നാമതും ചോദിക്കയാല് പത്രൊസ് ദുഃഖിച്ചുകര്ത്താവേ, നീ സകലവും അറിയുന്നു; എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടു എന്നും നീ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടുഎന്റെ ആടുകളെ മേയ്ക്ക.

17. The third time he said to him, 'Shim'on Bar-Yochanan, are you my friend?' Shim'on was hurt that he questioned him a third time: 'Are you my friend?' So he replied, 'Lord, you know everything! You know I'm your friend!' Yeshua said to him, 'Feed my sheep!

18. ആമേന് , ആമേന് , ഞാന് നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നുനീ യൌവനക്കാരന് ആയിരുന്നപ്പോള് നീ തന്നേ അര കെട്ടി ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളേടത്തു നടന്നു; വയസ്സനായശേഷമോ നീ കൈ നീട്ടുകയും മറ്റൊരുത്തന് നിന്റെ അര കെട്ടി നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാത്ത ഇടത്തേക്കു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. Yes, indeed! I tell you, when you were younger, you put on your clothes and went where you wanted. But when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.'

19. അതിനാല് അവന് ഇന്നവിധം മരണം കൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നു അവന് സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു; ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുഎന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

19. He said this to indicate the kind of death by which Kefa would bring glory to God. Then Yeshua said to him, 'Follow me!'

20. പത്രൊസ് തിരിഞ്ഞു യേശു സ്നേഹിച്ച ശിഷ്യന് പിന് ചെല്ലുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അത്താഴത്തില് അവന്റെ നെഞ്ചോടു ചാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുകര്ത്താവേ, നിന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവന് ആര് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതു ഇവന് തന്നേ.

20. Kefa turned and saw the [talmid] Yeshua especially loved following behind, the one who had leaned against him at the supper and had asked, 'Who is the one who is betraying you?'

21. അവനെ പത്രൊസ് കണ്ടിട്ടുകര്ത്താവേ, ഇവന്നു എന്തു ഭവിക്കും എന്നു യേശുവിനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

21. On seeing him, Kefa said to Yeshua, 'Lord, what about him?'

22. യേശു അവനോടുഞാന് വരുവോളം ഇവന് ഇരിക്കേണമെന്നു എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു നിനക്കു എന്തു? നീ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22. Yeshua said to him, 'If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you? You, follow me!'

23. ആകയാല് ആ ശിഷ്യന് മരിക്കയില്ല എന്നൊരു ശ്രുതി സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില് പരന്നു. യേശുവോഅവര് മരിക്കയില്ല എന്നല്ല, ഞാന് വരുവോളം ഇവന് ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു നിനക്കു എന്തു എന്നത്രേ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു.

23. Therefore the word spread among the brothers that that [talmid] would not die. However, Yeshua didn't say he wouldn't die, but simply, 'If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you?'

24. ഈ ശിഷ്യന് ഇതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നവനും ഇതു എഴുതിയവനും ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

24. This one is the [talmid] who is testifying about these things and who has recorded them. And we know that his testimony is true.

25. യേശു ചെയ്തതു മറ്റു പലതും ഉണ്ടു; അതു ഔരോന്നായി എഴുതിയാല് എഴുതിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങള് ലോകത്തില് തന്നേയും ഒതുങ്ങുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന് നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.

25. But there are also many other things Yeshua did; and if they were all to be recorded, I don't think the whole world could contain the books that would have to be written!
