1. അവന് കടന്നുപോകുമ്പോള് പിറവിയിലെ കുരുടനായോരു മനുഷ്യനെ കണ്ടു.

1. And as Iesus passed by, he sawe a man which was blinde from his birth.

2. അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് അവനോടുറബ്ബീ, ഇവന് കുരുടനായി പിറക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ആര് പാപം ചെയ്തു? ഇവനോ ഇവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

2. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sinne, this man, or his parents, that he was borne blinde?

3. അതിന്നു യേശുഅവന് എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെങ്കിലും പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടല്ല, ദൈവപ്രവൃത്തി അവങ്കല് വെളിവാകേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ.

3. Iesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents, but that the workes of God should be shewed on him.

4. എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി പകല് ഉള്ളേടത്തോളം നാം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാകുന്നു; ആര്ക്കും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത രാത്രി വരുന്നു;

4. I must worke the workes of him that sent me, while it is day: the night commeth when no man can worke.

5. ഞാന് ലോകത്തില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് ലോകത്തിന്റെ വെളിച്ചം ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
യെശയ്യാ 49:6

5. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

6. ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവന് നിലത്തു തുപ്പി തുപ്പല്കൊണ്ടു ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി ചേറു അവന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല് പൂശി

6. Assoone as he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spettle, and anointed the eyes of the blinde with the clay,

7. നീ ചെന്നു ശിലോഹാംകുളത്തില് കഴുകുക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ശിലോഹാം എന്നതിന്നു അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവന് എന്നര്ത്ഥം. അവന് പോയി കഴുകി, കണ്ണു കാണുന്നവനായി മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

7. And sayd vnto him, Go wash in the poole of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came againe seeing.

8. അയല്ക്കാരും അവനെ മുമ്പെ ഇരക്കുന്നവനായി കണ്ടവരുംഇവനല്ലയോ അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു ഭിക്ഷ യാചിച്ചവന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

8. Nowe the neighbours and they that had seene him before, when he was blinde, sayd, Is not this he that sate and begged?

9. അവന് തന്നേഎന്നു ചിലരും അല്ല, അവനെപ്പോലെയുള്ളവന് എന്നു മറ്റുചിലരും പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാന് തന്നേ എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

9. Some said, This is he: and other sayd, He is like him: but he himselfe sayd, I am he.

10. അവര് അവനോടുനിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന്

10. Therefore they sayd vnto him, Howe were thine eyes opened?

11. യേശു എന്നു പേരുള്ള മനുഷ്യന് ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല് പൂശിശിലോഹാംകുളത്തില് ചെന്നു കഴുകുക എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞാന് പോയി കഴുകി കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

11. He answered, and sayd, The man that is called Iesus, made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and sayde vnto me, Goe to the poole of Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and receiued sight.

12. അവന് എവിടെ എന്നു അവര് അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

12. Then they sayd vnto him, Where is he? He sayd, I can not tell.

13. കുരുടനായിരുന്നവനെ അവര് പരീശന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

13. They brought to the Pharises him that was once blinde.

14. യേശു ചേറുണ്ടാക്കി അവന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതു ശബ്ബത്ത് നാളില് ആയിരുന്നു.

14. And it was the Sabbath day, when Iesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.

15. അവന് കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു പരീശന്മാരും അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അവന് അവരോടുഅവന് എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മേല് ചേറു തേച്ചു ഞാന് കഴുകി; കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

15. Then againe the Pharises also asked him, how he had receiued sight. And hee sayd vnto them, He layd clay vpon mine eyes, and I washed, and doe see.

16. പരീശന്മാരില് ചിലര്ഈ മനുഷ്യന് ശബ്ബത്ത് പ്രമാണിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു വന്നവനല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. മറ്റു ചിലര്പാപിയായോരു മനുഷ്യന്നു ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള അടയാളങ്ങള് ചെയ്വാന് എങ്ങനെ കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ ഇടയില് ഒരു ഭിന്നത ഉണ്ടായി.

16. Then said some of the Pharises, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day. Others sayd, Howe can a man that is a sinner, doe such miracles? and there was a dissension among them.

17. അവര് പിന്നെയും കുരുടനോടുനിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്തു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഅവന് ഒരു പ്രവാചകന് എന്നു അവന് പറഞ്ഞു.

17. Then spake they vnto the blinde againe, What sayest thou of him, because he hath opened thine eyes? And he sayd, He is a Prophet.

18. കാഴ്ചപ്രാപിച്ചവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു ചോദിക്കുവോളം അവന് കുരുടനായിരുന്നു എന്നും കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു എന്നും യെഹൂദന്മാര് വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

18. Then the Iewes did not beleeue him (that he had bene blinde, and receiued his sight) vntill they had called the parents of him that had receiued sight.

19. കുരുടനായി ജനിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ മകന് ഇവന് തന്നെയോ? എന്നാല് അവന്നു ഇപ്പോള് കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അവര് അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

19. And they asked them, saying, Is this your sonne, whom ye say was borne blinde? How doeth he nowe see then?

20. അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര്ഇവന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ മകന് എന്നും കുരുടനായി ജനിച്ചവന് എന്നും ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു.

20. His parents answered them, and sayd, We know that this is our sonne, and that he was borne blinde:

21. എന്നാല് കണ്ണു കാണുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവന്റെ കണ്ണു ആര് തുറന്നു എന്നും അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പിന് ; അവന്നു പ്രായം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ അവന് തന്നേ പറയും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

21. But by what meanes hee nowe seeth, we know not: or who hath opened his eyes, can we not tell: he is olde ynough: aske him: hee shall answere for himselfe.

22. യെഹൂദന്മാരെ ഭയപ്പെടുകകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞതു; അവനെ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നവന് പള്ളിഭ്രഷ്ടനാകേണം എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാര് തമ്മില് പറഞ്ഞൊത്തിരുന്നു

22. These wordes spake his parents, because they feared the Iewes: for the Iewes had ordeined already, that if any man did confesse that he was Christ, he should be excommunicate out of the Synagogue.

23. അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവന്റെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാര്അവന്നു പ്രായം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പിന് എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു.

23. Therefore sayde his parents, Hee is olde ynough: aske him.

24. കുരുടനായിരുന്ന മനുഷ്യനെ അവര് രണ്ടാമതും വിളിച്ചുദൈവത്തിന്നു മഹത്വം കൊടുക്ക; ആ മനുഷ്യന് പാപി എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

24. Then againe called they the man that had bene blinde, and sayd vnto him, Giue glory vnto God: we know that this man is a sinner.

25. അതിന്നു അവന് അവന് പാപിയോ അല്ലയോ എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഒന്നു അറിയുന്നു; ഞാന് കുരുടനായിരുന്നു, ഇപ്പോള് കണ്ണു കാണുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

25. Then he answered, and sayd, Whether hee be a sinner or no, I can not tell: one thing I know, that I was blinde, and nowe I see.

26. അവര് അവനോടുഅവന് നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്തു? നിന്റെ കണ്ണു എങ്ങനെ തുറന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

26. Then sayd they to him againe, What did he to thee? howe opened he thine eyes?

27. അതിന്നു അവന് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; നിങ്ങള് ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ല; വീണ്ടും കേള്പ്പാന് ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങള്ക്കും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര് ആകുവാന് മനസ്സുണ്ടോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

27. Hee answered them, I haue tolde you already, and yee haue not heard it: wherefore would yee heare it againe? will yee also be his disciples?

28. അപ്പോള് അവര് അവനെ ശകാരിച്ചുനീ അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന് ; ഞങ്ങള് മോശെയുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്.

28. Then reuiled they him, and sayd, Be thou his disciple: we be Moses disciples.

29. മോശെയോടു ദൈവം സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നു ഞങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നു; ഇവനോ എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

29. We know that God spake with Moses: but this man we know not from whence he is.

30. ആ മനുഷ്യന് അവരോടുഎന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നിട്ടും അവന് എവിടെനിന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് അറിയാത്തതു ആശ്ചയ്യം.

30. The man answered, and sayde vnto them, Doutlesse, this is a marueilous thing, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.

31. പാപികളുടെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന ദൈവം കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നും ദൈവഭക്തനായിരുന്നു അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്റെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥന കേള്ക്കുന്നു എന്നും നാം അറിയുന്നു.

31. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him heareth he.

32. കുരുടനായി പിറന്നവന്റെ കണ്ണു ആരെങ്കിലും തുറന്നപ്രകാരം ലോകം ഉണ്ടായതുമുതല് കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല.

32. Since the world began, was it not heard, that any man opened the eyes of one that was borne blinde.

33. ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കല്നിന്നു വന്നവന് അല്ലെങ്കില് അവന്നു ഒന്നും ചെയ്വാന് കഴികയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

33. If this man were not of God, hee could haue done nothing.

34. അവര് അവനോടുനീ മുഴുവനും പാപത്തില് പിറന്നവന് ; നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ പുറത്താക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

34. They answered, and sayd vnto him, Thou art altogether borne in sinnes, and doest thou teach vs? so they cast him out.

35. അവനെ പുറത്താക്കി എന്നു യേശു കേട്ടു; അവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോള്നീ ദൈവപുത്രനില് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

35. Iesus heard that they had cast him out: and when he had found him, he sayd vnto him, Doest thou beleeue in the Sonne of God?

36. അതിന്നു അവന് യജമാനനേ, അവന് ആര് ആകുന്നു? ഞാന് അവനില് വിശ്വസിക്കാം എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

36. He answered, and sayd, Who is he, Lord, that I might beleeue in him?

37. യേശു അവനോടുനീ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നവന് അവന് തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37. And Iesus sayd vnto him, Both thou hast seene him, and he it is that talketh with thee.

38. ഉടനെ അവന് കര്ത്താവേ, ഞാന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

38. Then he sayd, Lord, I beleeue, and worshipped him.

39. കാണാത്തവര് കാണ്മാനും കാണുന്നവര് കുരുടര് ആവാനും ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായവിധിക്കായി ഞാന് ഇഹലോകത്തില് വന്നു എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു.

39. And Iesus sayd, I am come vnto iudgement into this world, that they which see not, might see: and that they which see, might be made blinde.

40. അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ചില പരീശന്മാര് ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഞങ്ങളും കുരുടരോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

40. And some of the Pharises which were with him, heard these things, and sayd vnto him, Are we blinde also?

41. യേശു അവരോടു നിങ്ങള് കുരുടര് ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു പാപം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു; എന്നാല്ഞങ്ങള് കാണുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള് പറയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപം നിലക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

41. Iesus sayd vnto them, If ye were blinde, ye should not haue sinne: but nowe ye say, We see: therefore your sinne remaineth.
