1. ഞാനും, സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കല് വന്നപ്പോള് വചനത്തിന്റെയോ ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയോ വൈഭവം കൂടാതെയത്രേ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാന് വന്നതു.

1. And I brethre, wha I came vnto you came not wt hye wordes or hye wyssdome, to shewe vnto you the preachinge of Christ.

2. ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊന്നും അറിയാത്തവനായി നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാന് നിര്ണ്ണയിച്ചു.

2. For I shewed not forth my selfe amonge you that I knewe eny thinge, saue onely Iesus Christ, euen the sam thate was crucified.

3. ഞാന് ബലഹീനതയോടും ഭയത്തോടും വളരെ നടുക്കത്തോടുംകൂടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ഇരുന്നു.

3. And I was amonge you in weaknes, and in feare, and in moch tremblinge:

4. നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ജ്ഞാനമല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശക്തി തന്നേ ആധാരമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

4. and my worde and my preachinge was not with entysinge wordes of mans wyssdome, but in shewinge of the sprete and of power:

5. എന്റെ വചനവും എന്റെ പ്രസംഗവും ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വശീകരണവാക്കുകളാല് അല്ല, ആത്മാവിന്റെയും ശക്തിയുടെയും പ്രദര്ശനത്താലത്രേ ആയിരുന്നതു.

5. that youre faith shulde not stonde in the wyssdome of men, but in the power of God.

6. എന്നാല് തികഞ്ഞവരുടെ ഇടയില് ഞങ്ങള് ജ്ഞാനം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനമല്ല നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നവരായ ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ ജ്ഞാനവുമല്ല;

6. That we speake of, is wyssdome amonge the yt are perfecte: not ye wyssdome of this worlde, nether of the rulers of this worlde which go to naughte:

7. ദൈവം ലോകസൃഷ്ടിക്കു മുമ്പെ നമ്മുടെ തേജസ്സിന്നായി മുന്നിയമിച്ചതും മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുമായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനമത്രേ മര്മ്മമായി ഞങ്ങള് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.

7. but we speake of the wyssdome of God, which is in secrete and lyeth hyd: which God ordeyned before the worlde vnto oure glorye:

8. അതു ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാര് ആരും അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു എങ്കില് അവര് തേജസ്സിന്റെ കര്ത്താവിനെ ക്രൂശിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു.

8. which none of ye rulers of this worlde knewe. For yf they had knowne it, they had not crucified the LORDE of glorye,

9. “ദൈവം തന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്ക്കും ഒരുക്കീട്ടുള്ളതു കണ്ണു കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല ചെവി കേട്ടിട്ടില്ല, ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെയും ഹൃദയത്തില് തോന്നീട്ടുമില്ല.” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ.

9. but as it is wrytten: The eye hath not sene, and the eare hath not herde, nether hath it entred in to the hert of man that God hath prepared for them that loue him.

10. നമുക്കോ ദൈവം തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനാല് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ആത്മാവു സകലത്തെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആഴങ്ങളെയും ആരായുന്നു.

10. But God hath opened it vnto vs by his sprete. For the sprete searcheth out all thinges, yee euen the depenesses of the God heade.

11. മനുഷ്യനിലുള്ളതു അവനിലെ മാനുഷാത്മാവല്ലാതെ മനുഷ്യരില് ആര് അറിയും? അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ ദൈവത്തിലുള്ളതു ദൈവാത്മാവല്ലാതെ ആരും ഗ്രഹിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

11. For what ma knoweth what is in man, saue the sprete of ma which is in him? Euen so no man knoweth what is in God, saue ye sprete of God.

12. നാമോ ലോകത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ അല്ല, ദൈവം നമുക്കു നല്കിയതു അറിവാനായി ദൈവത്തില്നിന്നുള്ള ആത്മാവിനെ അത്രേ പ്രാപിച്ചതു.

12. As for vs, we haue not receaued the sprete of this worlde, but the sprete which cometh of God, so that we ca knowe what is geue vs of God:

13. അതു ഞങ്ങള് മാനുഷജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളാല് അല്ല, ആത്മാവു ഉപദേശിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളാല് തന്നേ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ആത്മികന്മാര്ക്കും ആത്മികമായതു തെളിയിക്കുന്നു.

13. which we also speake, not with connynge wordes of mas wyssdome, but with the conynge wordes of the holy goost, and iudge spirituall matters spiritually.

14. എന്നാല് പ്രാകൃത മനുഷ്യന് ദൈവാത്മാവിന്റെ ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ല; അതു അവന്നു ഭോഷത്വം ആകുന്നു. ആത്മികമായി വിവേചിക്കേണ്ടതാകയാല് അതു അവന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാന് കഴിയുന്നതുമല്ല.

14. Howbeit the naturall man perceaueth nothinge of ye sprete of God. It is foolishnes vnto him, and he can not perceaue it: for it must be spiritually discerned.

15. ആത്മികനോ സകലത്തെയും വിവേചിക്കുന്നു; താന് ആരാലും വിവേചിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

15. But he that is spirituall, discusseth all thinges, and he is iudged of no man.

16. കര്ത്താവിന്റെ മനസ്സു അറിഞ്ഞു അവനെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കാകുന്നവന് ആര്? നാമോ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മനസ്സുള്ളവര് ആകുന്നു.
യെശയ്യാ 40:13

16. For who hath knowne ye mynde of the LORDE? Or who shal enfourme him? But we haue the mynde of Christ.
